Positive experience: Too crowded and all for and by foreign tourism. They are turning it into a Mallorca. In my opinion, it has lost its charm. It's better to go in mid or low season or even to go to the nearby coves.

Positive experience: A very beautiful place, crystal clear water. You can rent two sunbeds with an umbrella for €12. The downside is that the rental umbrellas are set back from the sea, so a multitude of people sets up their own in front of them. The sand is a mix of dirt, gravel, and sand. You can rent kayaks and pedal boats and do other water activities. There are many restaurants with affordable prices.

Positive experience: The beach is good, but parking is honestly a difficult story to understand, having to almost park the car in an eagle's nest. I think the parking situation affects how much you enjoy the time spent there.

Fantastic experience: Nerja has something that captivates you. The water is perfect and there is a great variety of bars and beach clubs with beautiful cliffs in the background.

Fantastic experience: The beach is excellent for snorkeling or activities like kayaking and continuing to see the nearby coves. You also find ropes on the rocks, which people climbed and jumped into the sea; from what we saw, there is quite a depth of water. It is somewhat overcrowded, although we went at peak time and found a place quite easily to put our things, but the parking is terrible... it took us a long time to park there, and we had to walk a lot since it was impossible, but without a doubt, it is worth it.

Positive experience: Beautiful beach, beautiful country. However, be careful with the restaurants and bars on the beach as they are very touristy, expensive, and of very low quality.

Positive experience: The free beach is very spacious and stretches along the entire length of the beach. For the equipped area, about fifty meters from the shore, there isn't much availability, and this also applies to parking. To be clear, we're not in Italy where in front of the equipped bathrooms you can't do anything but walk by; here most areas are free and everyone places themselves where they want and does as they please. Therefore, from the equipped area, rather than seeing the sea, you see all the umbrellas and various structures placed near the shore. However, it's nothing dramatic considering it was the week of Ferragosto. The beach is super-equipped with options for canoeing, diving, and more. A variety of structures for lunch and everything else is very pleasant. Overall, a very positive experience. Not easy to describe.

Fantastic experience: Gravelly sand, the largest beach in the area, with beach bars offering excellent food, public bathrooms, and showers. The downside is parking. Water attractions, street vendors selling clothing, necklaces, massages, pastries, and canned drinks, but without feeling overwhelmed.

Positive experience: We went to spend the day like other years, and to be honest, this year was a bit disappointing. Prices were a bit high for the amount served, there were a lot of dirty people who don't take care of the beach, and it's not for nothing, but some thirty-something French people (guys and girls with a child) were the dirtiest, burying their cigarette butts instead of throwing them in empty cans, leaving trash, not respecting anyone or anything. When we called their attention, all they said was 'I don't understand' and that was enough for them. But since you're going to spend the day at the beach with family, you don't want to get heated about it. It's a shame there aren't people to monitor these things, or that we (the people around) are braver and unite against such behavior to drive away and shame those dirty people who don't respect what's ours. If we did that, the poor little Spaniards would be the ones to get scolded.

Fantastic experience: A large beach, an ideal place to enjoy a kayaking excursion. Based on experience, consider whether you are in shape to endure the 2 hours; otherwise, just one hour and doing only the first cliffs is already beautiful.

Positive experience: A very large and beautiful beach, but it's not great for swimming because it has many rocks in the water, and you would need water shoes to enter.

Fantastic experience: Spectacular kayaking route along the cliffs, you have to be careful with the children on the beach because just a few steps in there is a lot of depth. Many beach bars and taverns nearby, the big drawback is the lack of parking.

Negative experience: Burriana beach is so beautiful but unfortunately everyone that leaves their rubbish and cigarette butts on the beach have absolutely destroyed it.

Positive experience: Very wide beach with many services from bars to public showers. It is very crowded and mostly free, so finding available sunbeds in the establishments after 11 is practically impossible. My boyfriend and I found some shade going towards the cliff, but I recommend bringing your own umbrella to relax. The water is quite clear and clean despite the presence of kayaks and paddles.

Fantastic experience: What can I say about this beach, magnificent, which for me was the most beautiful I have seen in Andalusia. Well, I imagine there are many others as well. Just after the rock, there are two other small beaches right in the city center, which are also magnificent. A real treat, I highly recommend it.

Positive experience: Nice beach to spend the day, however during peak season it is very difficult to find free parking.

Negative experience: Without so many people or engine noises, it would be much better; often you feel like you are next to a motorcycle circuit and not on a beach. The water is no longer as clear and there are no fish like before. A total disappointment.

Fantastic experience: Like in almost all urban beaches, it's hard to park. However, I managed to find a spot in the white zone. Before reaching the beach, there is a designated parking area and also the pay parking at Burriana (if it's just for a little while, it might be worth it). The beach is very nice, clean, with a lifeguard area, many beach bars, and entertainment rentals (pedal boats, paddle surfing, kayaks, etc.).

Positive experience: The beach is beautiful but like everything in Málaga.....too many people. We arrived at 10 in the morning and it was already difficult to find parking. So if you want to go, you have to wake up early. Other than that, everything is great: kiosks, showers, restaurants, souvenirs......etc.

Fantastic experience: I took a kayak course and halfway through the journey, I got dizzy and they had to pick me up in a motorboat. Upon arrival at the beach, I collapsed and the lifeguard staff had to assist me. They are impressive professionals and very well trained. They attended to me in a very efficient manner and with a lot of empathy. I thank them for their help and for the joy and dedication they put into their work. Thank you.

Positive experience: The beach has all the amenities, but since you can't stand, people crowd at the shore and it's uncomfortable. On the other hand, there are so many kayaks and paddle boards that you have to be careful not to get hit when leaving.

Fantastic experience: Wide beach with crystal clear water and full of fish. You can do activities like kayaking, snorkeling... and for food, there are beach bars that offer good quality-price. A great place to spend a beach day in Nerja.

Fantastic experience: Quite a beautiful beach, crowded but since it's big, there isn't much problem. Private parking right next to it for €2.10 an hour, a little further up there's a free one on flat land, but you have to go early in the more crowded months.

Positive experience: Recommended beach, I don't give it 5 stars for several reasons: the rentable sun loungers are quite far from the water, and since the beach is popular with the Chinese, you burn quite a bit; and also because I was next to the area where the kayaks are rented and we couldn't find public restrooms in the area, but everything else was great.

Positive experience: Too much litter left by users on the sand, along with a lack of bins that causes garbage to spill over and end up on the beach or in the sea. Parking is very difficult, as free spaces are very scarce and the municipal parking usually fills up quickly. Regarding the blue flag issue, there is a lack of water in almost all the showers and foot rinses, or it is poor. On the positive side, there is a continuous passage of the cleaning boat through the sea and the library by the beach. The absence of surveillance to punish behaviors like leaving trash behind, groups of people taking areas as private farms, and playing music at full volume is missed, as well as a beach bar converted into a liquor store that blares its music so it can be heard all over the beach. These are issues that could be fixed with a little civility or some fines, as needed. I have been using this beach and its services for many years, including the restrooms, which are lacking in cleanliness, soap, and paper.... It's a shame for such a beautiful urban beach.

Fantastic experience: The beach is quite nice. Despite there being a lot of people, we managed to find a good spot to settle quickly. There are many activities to do there, such as paddle surfing and kayaking, which were very fun even though we had never done them before. There are also quite a few good restaurants nearby. If you get tired of the beach, you can go to the village and there are many interesting tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: It was more beautiful a few years ago, there wasn't so much construction, the beaches had more free spaces, it was more respected... Now it is a tourist area, overcrowded where without a prior reservation, early mornings, and luck... You won't be able to spend a day with your family.

Positive experience: For me, the best in Nerja. Complicated parking if you go late. There is parking about a 10' walk for 1€ (the downside is the uphill return), and another one about 5' away (it fills up earlier logically). Finally, another public parking almost by the beach but more expensive than the previous ones (but easier to find a spot). Calm and very clean waters. Services of all kinds.

Negative experience: The beach is amazing, but the City Council's service is a disgrace; in August, not a damn shower was working. Then they say that progressives don’t wash, well this mayor from the PP has turned into Podemos, he likes showers less than a fool likes a pencil.

Negative experience: Sea full of stones... they jab into your feet. It's annoying to bathe there. I wouldn't go back. Finding a sunbed is almost a mission impossible... if you're lucky, you find one. The restaurants are packed. I recommend the one next to the corner and sun to the left, with white and orange tablecloths and waiters in orange shirts (I don't remember the name) since you can go without a reservation while in the others you need to reserve. You eat very well at that restaurant and the waiters are cheerful and very attentive.

Positive experience: Very beautiful beach with crystal clear water that quickly gets deep, and on days with waves it is difficult to swim. Even so, I went for 10 days and only found the water choppy on one day. Parking is almost impossible, but there are some public parkings for €1 a day. The area has a lot of beach bars to have something to drink and a space for sports.

Fantastic experience: Beach accessible on foot, somewhat crowded but quite pleasant. There are beach bars very close, which I would avoid because only foreigners go there, and they are fine with anything. I specifically refer to the beach bar El Moreno, whose menu does not match the presentation of the dishes, and the service leaves much to be desired.

Fantastic experience: MTB Cycling. Burriana Beach, the most visited and considered the best beach in Nerja, has a length of 800m and a width of 40m of fine sand, with all services. This beach is awarded year after year with the blue flag. The beach has all services, especially water sports such as jet skis, pedal boats, kayaks, parasailing, diving center, and paragliding, with which you can enjoy a fun and complete summer day. The kayak routes to the coves of Maro and its cliffs are an experience not to be missed; it’s awesome ☀️⚓️

Positive experience: Extra beach, fine gravel instead of sand. Extra waves. The kids were going wild with joy. The downside is that there is a lack of parking spaces in the area. The beach is small and cramped.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic beach! Clean and everything is well maintained. Free toilets. Many restaurants to choose from. Plenty of sun loungers to rent.

Negative experience: We love Nerja and have been coming here for years, but at Burriana the sea water is frequently and mostly filthy, I have seen anything and everything floating in the water e.g. litter, human excrement (multiple times) and anything and everything that can be flushed down a toilet. Many times we cannot swim, it is visibly dirty, other times we have got in and had to get out again, it is shocking how bad this is, Nerja really deserves better!

Positive experience: Very crowded (at least in the summer months), finding a parking space is difficult, the beach is very gravelly but otherwise very nice. The toilets are in close proximity as are bars, etc.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful equipped sandy beach in Nerja north of Malaga, crystal clear sea, possibility to rent kayaks for excursions to the waterfalls, moreover kitesurfing can also be rented. Gorgeous scenery.

Fantastic experience: beautiful beach ️ to spend a day of your stay in Andalusia, you can access it by car which is not possible at 'Maro' and at most other beaches in the city where you have to plan up to 1km of walking in the mountains.

Fantastic experience: For a city beach, it is very beautiful and long, with clean water that quickly becomes deep. Many activities can be done, and there are also public beaches.

Fantastic experience: You can lie down freely here, or rent a sunbed. The sea is quite calm, although it slopes steeply. Not overcrowded, just nice.
