Negative experience: Total disappointment with the town hall for prohibiting access to the beach with dogs, it was a small space where one could stay on a very large beach, very sad. I hope this affects their tourism and income.
Positive experience: Magical beach, huge and impossible to overcrowd. We had been coming for years, especially since they allowed dog access on the sandy area at the back, next to El Brusco. This year, with the change of legislature and an absurd political decision, our little furry friends are once again banned from entering. We hope they reopen access for dogs. The problem, as always, is not with the animals, but with the people who bring them. Anyway.
Negative experience: It's a shame, such a beautiful beach and only 400 m for our furry friends, now access is restricted. What a pity what you have done.
Negative experience: Shame on what you've done with Helgueras. 400m where NO ONE WENT and now NO ONE USES because we are too posh to walk more than a km at 30 degrees. That area will never get the blue flag because it is impossible, without showers, without access... Congratulations madam mayor for your brilliant human management.
Negative experience: This is a 7 km beach, where the last 400 meters, known as Helgueras beach, had been designated for dogs. This year, without prior notice, the mayor decided in May to remove dog access. It's a shame because it's a fantastic beach where there was no problem; it was clean, and people shared space with the dogs, all with respect and tolerance. It's a pity that due to political ideas and the four bosses that must exist, who think the beach is their property, the public beach is becoming private. All this will undoubtedly affect tourism.

Fantastic experience: I love it! Beach and surroundings. Dogs are only allowed at the end of the beach past the cliff.
Negative experience: They no longer allow dogs. If you go with a dog, don't go here; the police arrive in a minute and it's a 1000 euro fine. What a shame!
Negative experience: Deplorable the decision of this Town Hall regarding the elimination of the dog area. This is yet another example that Europe ends at the Pyrenees, we always go the wrong way! In this wonderful place with this wonderful beach, ruining something that was working well, which I agree could be improved... but surely the consequences will be negative for tourism that is already starting to decline, cancellations, negative reviews, etc. All in a context that only keeps growing, which is tourism for and with pets. I hope they reconsider, to rectify is the mark of the wise.
Negative experience: I had been traveling with my pet for years; it was a perfect beach for them and us. It turns out that dogs are prohibited, despite how enormous it is. We won't be returning to Noja.
Negative experience: It's a beautiful beach, super spacious and big with room for everyone, until this year... We have been coming to this area with our dog because this beach was fantastic for spending the day with family and we found out about the dog ban starting this year. According to what we were informed, it was due to complaints from pedestrians who reached the dog area, where they were 'too wild'... I simply find it incredible that you complain about dogs enjoying a day at the beach. If you don't like dogs, don't walk where they are, go the other way, as you, being bipedal, are lucky enough to be able to walk all over the beach. Very bad press for this area of Cantabria where a lot of people came for this type of tourism. If the situation doesn't change back, we won't return, and like us, I imagine many people won't either. A step back for pet-friendly tourism, a real shame.

Fantastic experience: Great, fine sand, services
Positive experience: Spectacular space to enjoy a luxurious 6 km sandy beach. It's a shame that this beach in the most remote area of Noja has removed the space for dogs to bathe this year. That's why I don't give it the highest rating.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, to say the least. A long beach with fine sand. The water is crystal clear with green and blue tones. When the tide goes out, pools and puddles form where children and adults can play. On one side, the beautiful view of the town of Noja, with the mountain behind it. One couldn't ask for more.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with that turquoise blue water and that golden sand

Fantastic experience: Playa extensa, duchas y servicios. Socorrismo de temporada de verano. Bares y restaurantes cercanos y buenos.
Recomiendo

Negative experience: Beautiful kilometer-long beach. They have removed the dog area, be careful because they issue fines and the signage is poor!!! Both lifeguards and police patrol the area. What a pity, we will not return.
Fantastic experience: For those who don't want coexistence rules...to Bizkaia. It's very beautiful and they also don't allow dogs during lifeguard hours. We only learn in one way...and we already know what it is.
Fantastic experience: En Agosto 2022 temperatura adecuada y aguas claras.

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful and clean beach.
Positive experience: Very long and beautiful beach, although there are too many rotten seaweeds that could be cleaned up before people come down.
Negative experience: Never coming back. Previously, dogs were allowed on Brusco (the final part of this beach), and since this year they have decided to bypass the animal welfare law, prohibiting dogs from swimming in this beach. Shameful for the tourists who go there to enjoy with all the family members. The hospitality is terrible throughout Noja, there are only two bars that don't serve fish from ALGECIRAS... Excessive crowds and low-quality tourism.
Positive experience: Like any other beach but better, because it has rocks in the water.
Negative experience: This is a 7 km beach, where the last 400 meters, known as Helgueras beach, had been designated for dogs. Fantastic experience: top strand , veel golven , top voor wavesurfers.

Positive experience: Enorme playa.
Positive experience: Playa pública, amplia y bien equipada.

Fantastic experience: Big, huge, and really beautiful. One of the best in Spain and Europe.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful
Fantastic experience: I love this beach, it's the best...
Positive experience: Very well maintained and picturesque.
Fantastic experience: I love it! Beach and surroundings. Dogs are only allowed at the end of the beach past the cliff.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach in Noja, huge and beautiful
Fantastic experience: Very large and very beautiful beach
Negative experience: I had been traveling with my pet for years; it was a perfect beach for them and us. It turns out that dogs are prohibited, despite how enormous it is. We won't be returning to Noja.
Negative experience: It's a beautiful beach, super spacious and big with room for everyone, until this year... Fantastic experience: spectacular environment, highly highly recommended
Negative experience: Before going to this beach, check the wind because it gets very windy and you can't stay there because it hits hard.
Negative experience: We came to Noja because we could bring our dog. Without this dog beach, Noja has nothing of interest.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful and clean beach.
Fantastic experience: Super nice and very good when the tide is low to be with kids
Positive experience: Very long and beautiful beach, although there are too many rotten seaweeds that could be cleaned up before people come down.
Negative experience: Total disappointment with the town hall for prohibiting access to the beach with dogs, it was a small space where one could stay on a very large beach, very sad. I hope this affects their tourism and income.
Positive experience: Spectacular space to enjoy a luxurious 6 km sandy beach. It's a shame that this beach in the most remote area of Noja has removed the space for dogs to bathe this year. That's why I don't give it the highest rating.
Positive experience: Another of the beaches in the area, large and comfortable.
Fantastic experience: It is a privileged place
Negative experience: With how big the beach is, there is plenty of space for everyone and now they are removing the dog zone... Noja will lose many visitors
Negative experience: I came to Noja for vacation to bring my dog to the beach and they have prohibited it, not even a small piece of the beach is allowed for us. We are 15 million families with dogs in Spain and they ban us like tobacco.
Negative experience: I give it one star because it doesn't let me give it zero. This beach, kilometers long, had 200 meters at the end designated as a beach for dogs. In 2024, the City Council has decided to not allow those 200 meters so families can go fully, with our pet. A real shame that we are moving backward in the inclusion of our furry friends in activities in nature. I will not return to Noja until it becomes dog-friendly again.
Negative experience: Beautiful kilometer-long beach. They have removed the dog area, be careful because they issue fines and the signage is poor!!! Both lifeguards and police patrol the area. What a pity, we will not return.
Negative experience: Beautiful beach in Cantabria but it's incredible that in 6 km of beach they don't have a designated area for dogs. It was allowed before, but according to the locals, it has been changed by the party currently governing the municipality, the PP. It's a shame.
Negative experience: They have changed the policy and dogs are NO LONGER ALLOWED. It has been a huge disappointment.
Fantastic experience: Probably next to Berria beach, one of the most charming beaches on the planet.
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach in the Cantabrian municipality of Noja. Spectacular and wonderful.
Positive experience: I love the beach. How beautiful!
Negative experience: Pitiful, shameful, and retrograde. Once again, a right-wing party against freedoms. All users, to some extent, end up leaving some waste on the beach, but those who are bothersome are the dog owners. I'm sure that 99% pick up their dogs' feces.
Positive experience: Like any other beach but better, because it has rocks in the water.
Fantastic experience: THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO THE MAYOR for disabling the dog section. Years of enduring the non-compliance of regulations by dog owners. Just to give examples: -- Dogs off-leash in prohibited areas -- Dangerous breed dogs off-leash, without muzzle and leash -- Walking on the beach with the dog and not using the designated path, leaving a trail of droppings.
Negative experience: It is an absolute SHAME what you have done with the area designated for dogs. Who is it that is so bothered that 400 meters were set aside for people like us who have a dog to enjoy the day there? At the very end, where the access is terrible, where we had to go loaded with things in inconvenient ways because it was really far, where there are no showers, where NOBODY WHO DIDN'T HAVE A PET WAS GOING (nor will they)? I find it incredible that these things are decided that harm everyone: hotels, hospitality, tourism... This time you have caught me by surprise, but from now on I have nothing to do in Noja. After years of going to this vacation area, I will not return. YOU CAN STICK THE BLUE FLAG YOU WANT UP YOUR A...!
Negative experience: Dogs are no longer allowed. It's not advertised anywhere, it's a shame. The dog area was perfectly restricted, clean, and could be shared without any issues. We don't understand how dogs and their owners have no right to enjoy a piece of beach within a mile-long beach.
Negative experience: When on a 7 km beach you cannot continue to allocate 400 meters for people to access with their dogs, you are clearly stating the type of tourism and audience you want to attract to your modern locality. And the non-compliance with regulations by some bad owners should not be enough to generalize the rule. By that logic, access should be prohibited to everyone due to those slobs who leave cans, trash, cigarettes, or who shout in the middle of the beach.
Negative experience: SHAME!!!! that it is no longer for dogs. It was very well prepared. I believe it will lose quite a bit of tourism. What a pity.
Fantastic experience: A picture is worth more than 1000 words. I think it's a very good decision as the news says 'due to a constant breach of the rules'.
Negative experience: It's shameful that they removed the area designated for us to be with our dogs. We won't return until winter when I will leave it all full of poop for being so unreasonable.
Fantastic experience: For those who don't want coexistence rules...to Bizkaia. It's very beautiful and they also don't allow dogs during lifeguard hours. We only learn in one way...and we already know what it is.
Negative experience: It was great when they allowed the whole family to go, including the dog, to the last 400 meters of the beach. We won't be coming back. All for you.
Negative experience: I just found out that they prohibit the entrance of dogs due to lack of resources to maintain the blue flag. This wide beach has always had its area for everyone, its nudist area, and its area for dogs. That's why it stood out and was special. I am neither a nudist nor do I have a dog. Difference between manager and useless person. Manager: a person who carries out all tasks with the means available. Useless: a person who does not provide services. Useless squared: a person who also wants already established services. Guess who manages Noja? I don't know which party they belong to, nor do I care. But what I do care about is what it is...
Negative experience: The municipal regulation is that dogs cannot access the beach directly but only through the external path. It doesn't matter; dogs, both leashed and unleashed, roam around, endangering the physical safety of children in particular. Health issues: They leave the beach full of feces and urine where people then lay out their towels and where children play. The attitude of these people, who try to put dogs on the same level as humans, is reprehensible. The local police cannot keep up with intervening in these situations. Today, April 29, we had to leave because packs of dogs took over the beach, unleashed and without muzzles. Beaches are for people, not for dogs, not with this attitude from the owners. We will not return again, and we have been coming since 1971.
Fantastic experience: Incredible, it's one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen. Unbeatable scenery.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with that turquoise blue water and that golden sand
Negative experience: Those of you who complain that you can’t go to El Brusco because there are dogs and you’re afraid to walk there with your children, maybe you don’t have an enormous beach to walk on that you also have to bother and take away the sad 200m that they leave for the animals. It’s shameful to see such selfishness and lack of empathy for animals; tied up, they can’t swim, etc. Don’t call it Dog Beach, Esteemed City Council of Noja, call it 'I want to look good, but I don’t do a damn thing for the animals'… Learn from Asturias, with the beaches and the kindness of the vast majority of its people. I’ll be quiet about where I would stick the beach.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular, whether with low or high tide; waves or calm sea.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful and clean. Accessible for all types of people with different mobility. Perfect water.
Negative experience: Be careful with this place, we left the car parked in the parking lot that has a park. To our surprise, the car appeared scratched. Why? We will never know, it's not the first time I've heard people say that there are bad people in Noja, and with this anecdote, I can confirm that there are people who are better off not leaving home. It's a shame we didn't catch them. So be careful with the cars because people are very messed up in Noja. Good luck to the coward who scratched it and to his conscience if he has one, which I doubt. Disgusting people that are out of their minds.
Positive experience: Unfortunately, we didn't pick the right day, the water wasn't great, but the beach is worth it.
Fantastic experience: A quiet beach. Family-friendly. There is an area where you can go with dogs.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful beach for a swim, for a walk, or to read quietly. Super.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach in Noja - Cantabria. Clean, fine sand, very close to the town center. A walk of several kilometers when walking from Helgueras to El Brusco.
Fantastic experience: This beach, along with Ris, has made Noja one of the major Cantabrian summer destinations. Trengandín is the largest beach, stretching over 4 km and almost reaching the end of Santoña. Interestingly, when the tide is low, many pointed rocks emerge that give the landscape a somewhat lunar appearance, so we need to be careful where we step, especially when the tide rises and these rocks become submerged... in any case, it is a spectacular sandy area, one of the largest in Cantabria.
Fantastic experience: The beach is spectacular, both for swimming and for walking.
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful beach and the best part is that there is a river at the end for our pets.
Fantastic experience: One of my favorite beaches
Fantastic experience: A huge and very cool beach, when the tide goes out all the rocks are revealed, creating a beautiful landscape. There is a nudist area and a dog-friendly zone that doesn't disturb anyone. There's also Custom, a very nice bar to eat and have a drink.
Fantastic experience: The rock formations on the beach are impressive. A great beach for walking. On one side you can see the rocks and on the other side a large slope with trees. Don't miss it.
Negative experience: Immense beach where only the last 200 meters are allowed for dogs. People who are bothered by dogs usually come here, bitterly, interestingly to complain about them. It is also curious that this beach is much cleaner than the one in Noja, where 'piggish' humans leave their trash... it's a shame we continue living in prehistory... We will return to Asturias to spend our money with the friendly people.
Fantastic experience: The most beautiful beach in Cantabria (over 4km of fine sand and crystal clear waters) when the tide goes out, reveals rocks that give the landscape a lunar appearance. It is located in Noja.
Fantastic experience: Lovely day shared with family and friends at this clean, wide and beautiful beach.
Negative experience: Very dirty when I came here. Swim with the plasters and plastic bags.
Fantastic experience: Lovely sandy beach with cristal clear water
Fantastic experience: Long, clean, sandy beach. The water is shallow and when the tide is down kids can reach the rocks and collect little black crabs. Locals take their chairs and sun umbrellas but these can also be hired. There is a small library for those who forgot their books at home or would like to check the papers. Plenty of bars and restaurants around to grab a quick bite; many offer roast chicken for take away, however this has to be ordered 2 hours in advance.
