Grau Beach
Information
Platja del Grau is a spacious beach that offers a welcoming atmosphere for families and individuals looking to enjoy a more tranquil beach day. The beach boasts fine sand and clean, crystal-clear water, making it a wonderful place for swimming and water activities. Visitors appreciate the gentle waves, perfectly suitable for children. There are lifeguards on duty, ensuring safety while enjoying the sun and surf.
Parking is available but is paid, and many have found it to be reasonably priced. For those seeking to avoid crowds, this extensive beach is ideal, allowing ample space for everyone. However, during peak season, it can become more crowded.
While the scenery includes beautiful views of the Medes Islands and the surrounding dunes, some might find the facilities limited without extensive beachside services. Despite this, the beach's natural charm and serenity, coupled with opportunities for water sports, make it a highly recommended spot for all visitors.

Fantastic experience: Quiet and very pleasant beach with parking next to it
Positive experience: In the high season, the beach is filled with vacationers. Especially at the campsites and apartments located by the beach. Between these campsites and apartments, there are also municipal beaches where it is relatively quieter, except on weekends. Overall, it's a reasonably clean beach, and water sports enthusiasts adhere to the rules by conducting their water activities outside swimming areas (think of kite surfing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, etc.). Every now and then, there are beach visitors with dogs on the municipal beaches; they should have their dogs on a leash, but that is often not the case. Parking is no problem for us since we are staying at one of the campsites. There is always a lifeguard walking back and forth, but in recent years we have seen them less frequently. It can get quite windy at times, causing a lot of sand to blow up, which is not very pleasant when you are lying on the beach, and there are sometimes such high waves that it is not possible for small children to enter the water. Despite this, the shoreline remains quite shallow towards the sea. At the various campsite entrances, there are small beach tents where you can get food and drinks. We have been coming here for years and have been enjoying ourselves.
Fantastic experience: It is a huge beach with enough space so that there is no overcrowding and everyone can enjoy the views. Fine sand. Gentle entry into the sea with a small step, but no problem. The water is crystal clear, very clean. There is a lifeguard. The waves are gentle, just enough for the children to have fun without any issues. We were looking for something that was not overcrowded and we found it because it is very large. Parking is paid, but we stayed for 5 hours for €6, which seems fair to me. There is surveillance and you can pay by card.
Positive experience: Redelijk breed zandstrand. Weinig faciliteiten. Wel veel parkeerplekken. Stikt van de Nederlanders en ligt bomvol!
Fantastic experience: Bad beach with dining options. Some routes are very steep for parking.

Fantastic experience: Incredible beach with crystal clear waters and soft sand. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun. Very clean and well maintained, ideal for families and friends. Definitely a place to return!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant long sandy beach ^^ It was not crowded on a Saturday evening in September. There are nice restaurants and surf schools around the beach. Parking is also not a problem as there is a parking area. (2€ for 2hours)
Positive experience: Endlos langer Strand!
Positive experience: Long stretch of unspoilt sandy beach. Very quiet the Saturday morning in August we visited. Beach bar in the middle but otherwise not many amenities that we could see on the beach. However there are lots of restaurants and shops a few minutes away. Parking was very easy too. Free parking 5 minutes away or lots of paid parking very close to the beach. Sea shelves quickly where we were. Highly recommend if you like a nice sandy beach.

Positive experience: It's beautiful, it tends to be quite clean. Spacious. In summer it's crowded (like all), out of season it's very enjoyable for a nice walk.

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach.
Positive experience: Redelijk breed zandstrand. Weinig faciliteiten. Wel veel parkeerplekken. Stikt van de Nederlanders en ligt bomvol!
Fantastic experience: It's a large beach without prominent hotels and plenty of space.
Positive experience: It's not the best beach for swimming, but it has very beautiful views of the Medes Islands and the Cape of Begur.
Positive experience: It's very beautiful. It's very windy, there are many waves to enjoy, when we went there wasn't much sun, but the beach is very beautiful.
Fantastic experience: Bad beach with dining options. Some routes are very steep for parking.
Positive experience: Tranquility and relaxation
Fantastic experience: In winter a five is too little, a walk in nature with very few people is ideal for relaxation, the worse the weather the more beautiful it is.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful sandy beach! Typical wide beach for Spain and the region. Very clean with a gentle entry into the water.
Negative experience: Dogs are prohibited from 15/3 to 15/10.
