Maro Beach
Information
Playa de Maro is a stunning beach surrounded by hills and characterized by its unique natural beauty. The crystal-clear waters and rocky bottoms make it an excellent spot for snorkeling and kayaking. Here are some key details:
- Activities: Perfect for kayaking, snorkeling, and enjoying the sun.
- Accessibility: Access requires a short walk downhill or a bus that runs for €1.50, although the bus service has faced criticism for its irregularity.
- Amenities: There is a small beach bar, restrooms, and showers available; however, some users reported that maintenance could be improved.
- Crowds: It tends to get crowded early, so arriving before ten in the morning is advisable.
- Tips: Bring water shoes due to the rocky beach, and consider arriving early to secure parking as spaces fill up quickly.
While many visitors praise the beach’s beauty, accessibility and crowd management have raised concerns. So, plan ahead if you decide to visit!

Fantastic experience: Great kayaking under the waterfall! Park at Maro beach car park and take a bus to the beach at Euro3, the kayaking rental is Euro11 per hour per person, rental place provide locker.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful small beach nestled in Axarquía, which I hope will not become a victim of its own success. The setting is magnificent: rocks, clear water, and unwithering vegetation (rare in summer and especially in Andalusia). Clean beach. There is a small bar (prefer cash) and restrooms (cleanliness could be improved, but not enough to spoil the experience). Both close around 7:30-8:00 PM in summer. A shuttle connects the beach and the village bar of Maro approximately every 30 minutes for the reasonable price of 1.50 euros. Relatively easy to access coming from Málaga, if like me you don't enjoy building-beaches.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach. We did our kayak excursion from this beach. The parking is a bit further away. Be prepared for a little walk uphill. The water was beautiful, but we didn't stay after kayaking as there were jellyfish.
Positive experience: For being so in the middle of nowhere, it is quite busy. Even off-season. Access is difficult and uncomfortable. Lots of stones, I recommend special footwear.
Positive experience: It's good for a getaway, taking the kayak, visiting the waterfall.. overcrowded? Yes #tolerate.

Positive experience: Una playa bastante normalita y concurrida.

Positive experience: Great beach very secluded some small rocks when entering the water, bathrooms, food concession, drinks. We brought our own sandwiches rental beds, umbrella and kayaks great if it is windy its in a valley sheltered from the wind.

Fantastic experience: Incredible beach!!! The water is crystal clear, but there are many stones. RECOMMENDED TO WEAR BEACH SHOES TO ENJOY IT. There is a beach bar, restrooms, and showers. Very complete. Cars are parked 15 minutes away, and there are buses that go down to the beach, costing €1.50 and leaving every half hour. If you prefer to walk, you can do that too.
Negative experience: Horrible. There are strong waves and stones brought by the current that hit you. It's difficult to get there. I do not recommend it.
Fantastic experience: There is a bus that you take at the parking lot exit, the parking costs one euro for the whole day, and the bus costs €1.50 for a round trip. It is advisable to take this bus because the road is very dangerous to walk. It is advisable to wear shoes because there are many rocks. I would go back on a day that is not cloudy. There is a small beach bar, kayak rental, and some public restrooms.

Positive experience: At the end of September, there is no problem finding parking, it's a nice walk. There are showers and a beach bar, a family-friendly atmosphere. Recommended.

Negative experience: Getting to the beach from the car park is eternal and poorly signposted and not very accessible. There is a bus that takes you down to the beach, but it runs every 80 hours, the beach is small and the beach bar is even worse! With so many beaches in Malaga, this would be the last one I would go to.
Negative experience: Crowded beach every day, crystal clear water, good place for snorkeling and seeing its wildlife. The beach bar is very small, normal quality, the waits are long even for takeout. The worst part is the person in charge of the sunbeds, very rude, customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The area is very neglected, as it is their responsibility, old and uncomfortable sunbeds.
Positive experience: The beach is very beautiful, the water is clear and you can see plenty of fish while snorkeling. There is parking 15m away on foot or by bus. You can rent kayaks and go see a waterfall that is a 20m walk away. It also has its own restrooms and a couple of showers, as well as a beach bar.

Negative experience: Without prior notice, we were told that my family and I cannot have a tent, when there was plenty of space and we weren't bothering anyone. We politely asked for the reason, and they replied that it wasn't their business, that the police couldn't care less. Obviously, we aren't picking up the tent because we're not doing anything illegal. And just as we were leaving, we saw two cars from the civil guard and one from the locals, talking with the bitter lifeguard (of course, they didn't say anything to us because everything was already picked up). Then when you really need the police and the lifeguards, you can't find them...
Negative experience: Spectacular beach, but the town hall must act urgently to solve the following: 1) Inefficient beach bar. Waiting 50 minutes to order an ice cream is unacceptable. The staff is overwhelmed and not well organized, they seem to be inundated. 2) Terrible access. Only one bus that sometimes has issues and is delayed. TOTAL disorganization in the lines. People cut in line because there's no sign indicating where the line starts. No one is organizing, and people fight and argue. Today it was close to calling the civil guard after a brawl with punches in the middle. People should not have to endure this. This is the town hall's total responsibility that, in absolute neglect, forces people in heat and distress to fight like animals to get on a bus that runs every 30 minutes. What is the cost of adding a pergola? The heat while waiting is hellish and affects children. 3) Poor parking signage. Cars arrive at the entrance and only then find out there’s no space when it could have been indicated at the previous parking, thus reducing overwhelm and frustration. This beach is overwhelmed and the town hall does nothing. There is no security and people fight to get on the bus. The beach bar is inefficient and does not provide good service. Pergolas are needed in waiting areas. Do something!!! People have been complaining about this for years.
Fantastic experience: Very nice cove near Nerja. The water is extremely clean; there are small reefs (bring snorkeling gear); some sunbeds that can be rented for 6€/day; lifeguard; showers and toilets. Additionally, you can rent kayaks here. Somehow, there are no proper sandy beaches left on the Costa del Sol. Here, too, you are greeted by a stony pebble beach - water shoes are highly recommended. In summer there are two ways to get to the beach: either you park your car in one of the large parking lots near Maro (1€/day) and take the air-conditioned shuttle bus (1.50€/per person, departure every 10 minutes from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.), or you walk down a steep road for 15 to 20 minutes. A little tip: if you park in the first parking lot, you can get on an empty bus and don’t have to wait for a second crowded bus at the second parking lot. In the reviews, you always read that you should arrive early. However, what that exactly means is nowhere to be found. We were at the second parking lot on a Tuesday around 10:15 a.m. and were able to snag one of the last spaces. Shortly after us, a whole convoy arrived, some of whose cars were already out of luck. We arrived at the beach around 10:30 a.m. and were lucky that the rental sunbeds were not fully booked yet. Now, at 12:00 p.m., the beach is already very crowded.
Fantastic experience: Muy recomendable! No tienen datáfono. En la playa puedes pagar con tarjeta. Si es verdad que a 100mts encontré un cajero jeje.

Positive experience: I had heard about this beach and it is true that its waters appear more bluish and crystal clear, although I don't understand why it has so much fame as it seems similar to other beaches. I imagine it will be a beautiful postcard when the waterfall pours water. An ideal place for kayaking.

Positive experience: Very beautiful beach with crystal clear waters, perfect for snorkeling or paddle surfing. Crowded in spring and summer, and difficult to park despite the shuttle buses. Public restrooms and services like beach bar and water sports and active tourism company. Accessible but with a steep slope. Entry into the water is not linear and progressive; there is a large drop underwater, and you lose your footing a few meters after entering the water.
Negative experience: A true disappointment, the fame that is given to it is taken advantage of to do business with it. They don't let you access by vehicle since they benefit from a bus for €1.5 per trip. The path to reach the beach is more than 1 km uphill. When you arrive at the beach, you find a kayak business that offers routes to the waterfall, which you can go to with your own kayak or paddleboard. Doing the route with them costs nothing less than €25 per person, and if you rent it individually (without the route), it costs €11 per person, which I think is a huge rip-off. Any business in the area rents kayaks not by person. P.S. The waterfall today 09/09/23 is dry; you can now see the money grab from the route with cloudy days, the water is murky, and the marine life is not visible, which is nothing more than a cove like any other in the area.
Fantastic experience: A spectacular beach. I recommend going early because the parking has limited capacity and fills up quickly. The parking is located uphill and you can park your car for €1 all day. To get down to the beach, you can walk downhill for 15-20 minutes or take a shuttle bus that costs €1.50 for a round trip (you can bring chairs, coolers... anything). The only thing is that the bus takes you directly to the beach; if you want to go to the cove, you can only walk there. As for the beach, it is amazing, with crystal clear waters and easy access. There are activities like kayaking or paddle surfing; I did the first one and highly recommend it, it's really fun. There's a beach bar that is very nice, and the prices are affordable and not exaggerated. I ate there, and they are quick and very friendly. Definitely a must-visit place if you go to Nerja.
Fantastic experience: It's a cove with crystal clear water and stones, a nature reserve so you can see plenty of little fish. I recommend bringing snorkeling goggles and water shoes. It's small and the access on foot is uncomfortable since it’s a road without a shoulder and with curves, at least a 20-minute walk under the sun. I recommend taking the bus that is located next to the parking lot above, which costs €1.50 round trip. It goes down at the hour and comes back at around twenty past the hour. At the cove, they rent kayaks and paddleboards and also organize groups to do cave tours in kayaks, very cool and not excessively expensive. There is also a beach bar that isn't very good quality but is fine for a quick snack. I really enjoyed visiting it.
Positive experience: There is a chiringuito were you can buy beverages. The day I was there there was surf and therefore the water was cloudy.

Negative experience: Very disappointing, at least for people who are used to the beach and sea. We drove to the beach parking lot, where we couldn't park despite there being empty spots, but that was the decision of the two men at the entrance, who made us turn around 5 cars; we finally parked in a nearby street. We returned to the parking lot to take the bus that takes you down to the beach, the trip is 1.2km by road but at 35 degrees it's not advisable to do it on foot, the bus cost €1.5 per person round trip and we were told it operated from 10 to 20. Well, at 19:30 we were in line waiting for the bus to take us back to the parking lot and what was our surprise? They kept filling the bus and repeating the trip but by 20h they left us on the ground those who were still in line (about 50 or 60 people, including children and the elderly); a complete mishap and terrible management. In the end, we made the return trip (all uphill) on foot, but if you're not in shape, be careful... At the beach, there is only one beach bar that we would only recommend for drinking something refreshing or having an ice cream, at most to get a sandwich, but don't make the mistake of queuing to sit down to eat (half an hour line, another 25 minutes to order and just as long to receive the food, we ended up paying the bill because we insisted several times that if not, we wouldn't even get that). The beach is average, if you're from a coastal area and/or know other beach areas, you will agree that this is just a small beach, nothing special.

Fantastic experience: You can rent a kayak without a tour and go at your own pace, ideal for snorkeling. You have to take a bus down because cars can't go down; it's a 1.5km downhill, but then you have to come back up or you'll die trying. But it's definitely worth it.
Fantastic experience: The beach itself is a dream. Many other visitors thought so too. Don't forget to bring your snorkel, goggles, and water shoes.
Positive experience: Very nice beach. You can rent sun loungers for €6/day. Very clear water, suitable for snorkeling. You can eat well and cheaply at the kiosk.

Positive experience: Beautiful beach, super clear water. Great fish to spot. Don't forget your snorkel. It's quite a walk from the parking down. 1.4km steep down and then you're there. You can hire SUPs. The bar is quite expensive compared to the other Spanish bars.

Fantastic experience: A crazy beach. You have to go VERY early. We arrived at 9 in the morning and had to park almost at the top of the slope (it's almost a 30' climb). Going down is fine, but going back up is a bit more challenging. Bring snorkeling goggles and if you have the budget, get a kayak.
Positive experience: We came on a Friday at the end of August and the paid parking was already full by 10 in the morning due to the people who live and stay there. We parked where we could at the risk of a fine/tow... I would also feel lazy to come back because of the one-hour wait for the bus; the one going down to the beach is at the hour on the dot, and those coming up from the beach to the town are at half past the hour. We missed one by 10 minutes and made the mistake of walking down without shade, let alone thinking about walking back up haha. The bus price per person round trip is €1.50. As you walk down, there is a path on the right to La Caleta beach; to get to MARO, keep going down. We saw three little goats that approached the back of the beach bar (normal prices at this time). It was very clean and well maintained. It’s not bad, but maybe we came with too many expectations of seeing different little fish with the snorkeling masks. It’s normal to protect this natural space and have to pay for these privileges, but for accessibility and being practical... I prefer Cantarijan and Rijana, which are nearby, have better access, and you can see the same little fish or more.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful but you have to go by bus, walking is possible but it's an exaggerated trek that is not worth it for the price of the ticket. So just at the public parking lot right where the fences are to take the path to the beach, there is a bus stop that goes up and down all day without stopping. You can bring beach chairs, umbrellas, and backpacks or coolers on the bus. Price 1.50 euros round trip.
Positive experience: At the end of September, there is no problem finding parking, it's a nice walk. There are showers and a beach bar, a family-friendly atmosphere. Recommended.
Fantastic experience: Super, topless republic

Fantastic experience: Great beach, kayaking tour was fun
Positive experience: Nice to visit, we were there quite early +/- 09:30 so there was still plenty of parking space, the bus leaves at 10:00, so we walked down, it was manageable, we rented a kayak which is really recommended and we had a very good guide from Kayak Maro, the beach was very busy around noon but luckily we could take the bus back up for € 1.50 pp all in all a nice trip
Negative experience: Overrated, overcrowded, and the sunset... There are better places.
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful beach, I recommend it to you, you will miss something special.
Positive experience: Small, beautiful, and family-friendly, the problem is that starting from 10:00 AM the parking is full and they close access to the beach.
Negative experience: Getting to the beach from the car park is eternal and poorly signposted and not very accessible. Fantastic experience: A very beautiful and spectacular place, but don't come in August because there are a lot of people. If you want to go kayaking, reserve the restaurant as it fills up easily. So be prepared.
Fantastic experience: You can rent a kayak without a tour and go at your own pace, ideal for snorkeling. You have to take a bus down because cars can't go down; it's a 1.5km downhill, but then you have to come back up or you'll die trying. But it's definitely worth it.
Positive experience: We walked down after searching for a parking spot for hours. The beach is suitable for snorkeling, you can see the small fish in the water. It is a rocky beach, so bring suitable shoes. We took the bus back up to the car, which costs €1.50 per person. Finding parking was the only negative aspect.
Negative experience: It's a shame what the Junta de Andalucía is doing with the most idyllic beaches in the area.!!! ALL ABOUT CHARGING AND MAKING MONEY, SHAMEFUL!!!
Negative experience: It is very crowded, it’s very hot because being surrounded by cliffs there’s no breeze. I imagine that renting a kayak to see the cliffs will be fine, but we saw how they had to bring several people back by boat because they couldn’t return, and one person had to be taken by boat and then by ambulance. If you’re not prepared, don’t take a kayak. There are long lines to take the bus back. You either get a heat stroke in the kayak, from the heat on the beach, walking back or waiting for the bus.
Negative experience: I regret to say that the beach does not deserve the beating that people give themselves to get on the bus that saves you a kilometer and a half of uphill and downhill to reach it. Although it's not the place's fault, Anglo-Saxon tourism almost always dirties the environment, believing itself deserving of every privilege, even coming to blows to get on that bus (because they tend to cut in line). If you can avoid it, it's better. From Burriana, you can also visit the famous Maro waterfall, which has better access and beach overall. Even the people who live here say it's not worth it.
Positive experience: Yes, it is crowded, like all the beaches in the area. It is a really nice little beach to spend the day. You must park in one of the public parkings. When the lower one is full, they direct you to the upper one. Don't try to pass, there will be a no entry sign, because there are only 3 parking spaces in the lower part and you can't park by the edge of the road, or the bus won't pass. You need to take a bus that costs €1.5 per person, round trip. HIGHLY recommended. Walking down takes about 20 minutes, which is fine, but the uphill walk can be deadly in full sun. In 7 minutes by bus, you are at the bottom. It runs every 30 minutes and it’s the same bus that goes up and down all the time. After 12:00, the beach gets crowded, so it's recommended to arrive early to enjoy. You can rent kayaks (€11/hour) to explore the cliffs of Maro and see the waterfall, if it has water. We had taken a tour from Playa Burriana and it cost us €26. For just a €4 difference you get a guide, although if you prefer to go on your own, you just need to skirt around the cliffs to the right of the beach and make stops along the way. The 'sand' is finer than that of other beaches like Burriana.
Fantastic experience: Small but very beautiful, crystal clear waters. Rocky sand.
Negative experience: A disaster, you can't get there by car (only a bus that charges 1.5 euros for less than a kilometer and it's not always available). There is only one café where you can't sit unless you have lunch, only standing room. I don't know why it was given a high score; there are better beaches that are much more accessible in the area.
Positive experience: Amazing beach, crystal clear waters, and a unique natural setting. The problem is that the town hall has wanted to make a profit: car access to the beach is closed, you can only access on foot or by the buses that the town hall has put in place. They do not stick to the schedule and always start dropping off passengers 20 minutes late (around 10:15 - 10:20 AM). On days with waves and red flags, they do not warn you, they charge you for the trip, and when you arrive at the beach, you are disappointed. The drivers are unpunctual and rude. The excuse for cutting traffic is overcrowding, but it really remains just as crowded; they do not control capacity, and the only thing they care about is making money with the bus service.
Fantastic experience: It is impressive how clear the water is and being able to. You can dive and go kayaking. IT'S WORTH PAYING FOR THE BUS TO TAKE YOU TO THE BEACH.
Negative experience: It's a pity that they have already commercialized it. In 2018, I went with my partner and I remembered it as an idyllic place. This year we went in June and you have to pay for a bus to take you down, full of paid sunbeds and umbrellas, not to mention the booth they set up to rent kayaks. In short, it was going down to see it, disappointing them, and leaving after a minute.
Positive experience: The water was indeed clear. However, there were no sunbeds available starting from noon, as they are very limited. Therefore, you had to expose yourself to the blazing sun if you didn't have an umbrella. There are showers and toilets, which are unfortunately very dirty. A small beach bar with a restaurant is also included. Unfortunately, access was blocked and you had to take the bus (cost per trip 1.50 euros per person) or walk over 1 km. Not recommended for older or poorly mobile people. All in all, not recommended.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful sea, obviously when the day is sunny and not too windy. Spectacular for a kayak ride.
Negative experience: Very overcrowded, 15 minutes down and 30 minutes up. Because the bus service is very shabby. Beautiful cove, but don't go in high season.
Negative experience: Tuesday, July 24, 1:00 PM, first attempt to visit this beach that is said to be wonderful according to all the reviews, we have tried to park in the designated parking areas, we have walked around the town but there is very little parking available and it couldn't be done. 4:30 PM, we try to visit the beach again, we walk through the streets, we enter the parking lot to see if there is space... and nothing. WARNING TO NAVIGATORS! You have to go early because it's impossible to park in the area.
Positive experience: You have to leave the car in a parking lot for €1 a day and take a bus or walk for about 15 minutes. It's worth it. The beach is very beautiful. You can rent a SUP or kayak for €11 per hour per person.
Positive experience: Very beautiful beach. You cannot access it by car, there is a bus shuttle from the village to the beach, the last one is around 9 PM.
Fantastic experience: The beach itself is a dream. Many other visitors thought so too. Don't forget to bring your snorkel, goggles, and water shoes.
Positive experience: Very beautiful beach and the kayaking activity is great for exploring small coves further away. However: there are toilets without paper. When we asked the guard, he said he didn't have any even though we saw toilet paper in his hut. The smell from the toilets is disgusting. The on-site restaurant is disorganized in a way I've rarely seen. There are showers... Without a showerhead, it is only possible to wash your feet. Parking is possible 15 minutes walk away (downhill to get there) for the return the shuttle (1.5 euros cash only) is highly recommended as it’s quite a steep climb back.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach! Rent a kayak and bring swimming goggles!! But there are too many people on the beach... I recommend arriving early to get a spot in the parking lot that is on the way down to the beach. There is a restaurant (the toilet does not belong to the restaurant) and showers. Bring toilet paper. Unfortunately, they are bad at refilling.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful cove with an amazing view. No to jet skis.
Negative experience: I like it, sand and sun. Beautiful landscapes.
Negative experience: HORRIBLE. You have to walk about two km down the road which you then have to climb back up. Or take a minibus. It's not worth it.
Fantastic experience: Great, clean and clear water in a beautiful setting. You have to go by bus; walking is a bit much. The bus gets really crowded.
Fantastic experience: What a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a family vacation, we had a fantastic time!! And the people were very friendly.
Fantastic experience: Amazing beach with everything you need there! The prices are very nice and cheap for this area, definitely must go! There is also the possibility to rent a kayak and I encourage you to do so.
Positive experience: It's worth going if you're around the area. We encountered a day with dirty water due to fuel from some boat. The bus for 1.5 euros for the trip from the parking lot was great. In any case, I recommend not going too loaded, because there is an uphill to the bus. It's great that a beach like this has a beach bar.
Negative experience: Definitely hit or miss, this beach, depending on the day you go. Seen the empty, clean, and turquoise pics of others; however, today was a different story. Crowded, very dirty ('seaweed'), and the waves were very high and strong very close to the shore, resulting in between water crashing sand and algae on any swimmer.
Negative experience: I’m very disappointed. Some years ago I visited this beach and it was beautiful experience. I brought my husband to this beach yesterday and I was so shocked. Beach was very crowded and dirty. Some people were playing loud music and leaving cigarettes on sand. Showers were not working and toilets were dirtiest I ever seen in my life. It was so not worth it.
Positive experience: The beach is very nice, it has quite a few stones in the water. IMPORTANT be careful where you park the car because you are in violation from the parking lot at the entrance.
Fantastic experience: A spectacular place, it is not a very large beach, but it is very quiet, it has a restaurant, kayak rental, canoes, etc., and it has public facilities. The water is clean and a bit cold. But it is a pleasure, the sand is mixed with stones, but it is not an impediment to enjoy it. Very good..
Positive experience: A few years ago, you could drive up to 300 meters from the beach. Then you just had to walk the last bit down. Now this is prohibited and blocked by a barrier. A parking lot has been built at the roundabout, and from there a shuttle bus runs up and down regularly. We go there on weekends, and it was said that the last bus leaves at 8:00 PM, but more precise times could not be found. There were no notices about this. Important with children: the path down is very steep; it's manageable with calmness and patience, but going up is very exhausting, so please plan for time and avoid bringing too much beach luggage! The beach itself is beautiful! Meanwhile, there are toilets (probably only open during peak season), a beach bar, showers, and lifeguards. An absolute recommendation for everyone; this is something you have to see! (If relevant, 'topless' is quite common on the beach here; if you don't like it or are bothered by it, this is absolutely not the place for you!
Positive experience: Small beach with very coarse black sand near the water, not good for walking. Bar and kayak service.
Positive experience: Very nice place, with low attendance in May. Beach bar and restrooms, which need better maintenance.
Negative experience: Lies and more lies... Although the area is beautiful, it's unbearably hot (and it's still June), too many tourists, dirty water (there are a lot of algae), stones that hurt you, quite a bit of swell... it's really hard to relax and disconnect at this beach. For all the effort it takes to get there, I wouldn't recommend it.
Positive experience: There were seaweeds, there is little parking
Fantastic experience: The beach is great and the kayak is quite nice.
Positive experience: The toilets were very dirty and the showers didn't work. There were a lot of plants in the water and sludge was floating on the water. Maybe it was because the weather wasn't that nice, but I was not impressed at all. The Pina colada for 8 euros was the least tasty I have drunk this holiday.
Positive experience: Very nice beach. You can rent sun loungers for €6/day. Very clear water, suitable for snorkeling. You can eat well and cheaply at the kiosk.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach and delicious beach bar.
Fantastic experience: Incredible beach with spectacular views, 100% recommended.
Fantastic experience: Amazing beach, not very crowded, plenty of parking space, just don't park in the roundabout, there used to be parking spots, but not anymore. There is a bar with fresh food at a very reasonable price. You can also rent a sunbed for €6 all day.
Positive experience: Nice beach but the sand is gravelly and something bit me.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach and quite peaceful.
Positive experience: Quiet beach though it was February, very clean
Negative experience: Going down is fine, but going up to the small parking area if you are lucky to find a spot, with umbrella, chair, bag, etc.... I don't know if there is another way down that I didn't see.
Positive experience: Beautiful
Positive experience: We visited on a sunny morning in January so very quiet. Lovely wide beach with a natural unspoiled feel. Fairly steep approach road to the beach.
Positive experience: A beautiful beach located in a cove that everyone who comes to Malaga should visit. My advice as a local is to be there before 10:30 in the morning; otherwise, you will have to park very far up and walk up a steep hill for 20 minutes.
Positive experience: Lovely little cove a bit isolated, in Maro near Nerja. You need to be a bit athletic because you leave your car up top.
Fantastic experience: Nice small beach, however the parking options are a bit cramped.
Fantastic experience: Amazing place to relax and have lunch with Paella. The journey there takes a while, but I highly recommend it!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. Great beach club. Still pleasantly warm in November. Water is 15 degrees.
Positive experience: BEAUTIFUL, it is an incredible place. A semi-private beach with very few people. The only downside is that transportation is complicated, there are no buses and taxis charge 20 euros to pick you up and take you to the nearest station.
Fantastic experience: Very clean water, beautiful view, there is a shower and a cafe.
Positive experience: It's a nice beach. There is a small snack bar, and you can rent sunbeds. There are free showers and toilets as well. A winding road leads here, and parking spaces are limited.
Positive experience: Crystal clear water, fun to be able to snorkel right next to the shoreline and see some fish and nice stones. In October it was calm and I found parking along the road and close to the beach. The beach is mostly made up of gravel but has nice small stones next to the waterline.
Positive experience: The beach has a medium-sized sandy area. The sand is coarse and in the sea the bottom is rocky, so it's not very pleasant to stand, but it's great for swimming. Accessibility is not easy, as it is busy and you may have to park the car far away; expect a good uphill walk to get back to the car after leaving the beach.
Fantastic experience: The water is very clear and really nice, but your calves feel like they're going to burst from going up and down the hills.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful, when we went there weren't many people so it was incredible and very peaceful.
Positive experience: A nice little beach plus there's a kayak hire place on the beach.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful small beach. We visited early October and no issues with parking. Very clear water, showers and toilet available and really nice scenery. Great place to bring your SUP for some exercise. If you have a snorkling set bring it too.
Positive experience: Difficult to access with a disability. Otherwise very beautiful.
Fantastic experience: Magnificent, it's worth the detour.
Positive experience: Beautiful!!! Visit the cave and then go down to the beach.
