New Umbria Beach
Information
Playa de Nueva Umbría, also known as La Flecha, is a stunning natural beach stretching 12 kilometers along the Costa de la Luz. Known for its crystal-clear waters and fine white sand, it offers a serene escape from crowded tourist spots.
This beach is famous for its lack of services, making it ideal for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. Visitors often access the beach via a ferry from El Rompido or Nuevo Portil, costing around €4.50 for a round trip. Expect beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for strolling and enjoying the surrounding wildlife.
While many appreciate the untouched beauty and natural surroundings, some have noted the presence of seaweed and occasional nuisances caused by fishermen or other beachgoers. It's also important to prepare adequately, as should bring your own food and drinks, since there are no bars or shops within proximity.
Overall, Playa de Nueva Umbría is a paradisiacal retreat for those looking to unwind and immerse themselves in nature, with an environment that encourages a sense of freedom.

Fantastic experience: Playa tranquila, con difícil aparcamiento
Fantastic experience: You have to get ready to arrive, walk several kilometers from La Antilla or access from El Terrón seems to be by car.
Fantastic experience: I like to arrive by kayak or paddleboard, it's fun and a cool place to take a walk
Fantastic experience: Virgin beach, perhaps the best beach in Europe, and one of the best in the world. You can only reach it by ferry, there is not a single beach bar, no lifeguard, and no access by car. Nude bathing is allowed.
Negative experience: To access the beach, we have to take a boat, but that's not the problem. The beach smells terrible, like sewage, and it's full of algae, which makes the water look black and the sand disgusting.

Y poco saturada.
Fantastic experience: Splendid natural beach with no crowds...however, to get to this beach you need to take a ferry at €4.5 for a round trip ticket, and children up to 5 years old €2.5. But it is definitely worth it. The beach evidently has no services, meaning there is no lifeguard, no showers, nor restrooms.... Fine sandy beach....ideal for walking along the spit...ideal for going with children and spending a day on an excursion... We will definitely come back!
Fantastic experience: El Rompido has beautiful golden sand beaches and calm waters. Although to enjoy them, you have to cross to the other shore of the Río Piedras. You can do it by boat or taking the Ferry from here. Playa de la Flecha is especially known for its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Great place, not many people, lovely sand and those shells. A place to visit!

Positive experience: It looks like an island but it isn't, it's a bar called La Flecha. Beach without beach bars, accessed by ferry from several points in El Ronpido or Nuevo Portil.
Fantastic experience: Virgin beach, perhaps the best beach in Europe, and one of the best in the world. You can only reach it by ferry, there is not a single beach bar, no lifeguard, and no access by car. Nude bathing is allowed.
Positive experience: Quiet beach but full of seaweed and the beach bar doesn't sell large water bottles; they charge 1.50€ for a small one.

New Umbria Beach: Reviews
Fantastic experience: You have to get ready to arrive, walk several kilometers from La Antilla or access from El Terrón seems to be by car.
Negative experience: A pristine beach that is being spoiled. It is full of fishing trash. I have tried to contact the Cartaya town hall to bring it to their attention, but it has been impossible. Neither the web form works, nor do they answer the phone. I hope they clean it up soon.
Fantastic experience: I like to arrive by kayak or paddleboard, it's fun and a cool place to take a walk

Fantastic experience: Incredible paradise beach in an environment of overcrowding and standard beaches like Antilla and Islantilla
Fantastic experience: Very nice and quiet.
Fantastic experience: Virgin beach, perhaps the best beach in Europe, and one of the best in the world. You can only reach it by ferry, there is not a single beach bar, no lifeguard, and no access by car. Nude bathing is allowed.
Fantastic experience: Great place, not many people, lovely sand and those shells. A place to visit!
Fantastic experience: The best beach in our land. Miles to enjoy.
Positive experience: Quiet beach but full of seaweed and the beach bar doesn't sell large water bottles; they charge 1.50€ for a small one.
Negative experience: To access the beach, we have to take a boat, but that's not the problem. The beach smells terrible, like sewage, and it's full of algae, which makes the water look black and the sand disgusting.
Fantastic experience: Boat ride €4.50 round trip per person, and when you get off you walk 5/10 minutes, there usually aren't many people, and the beach is great. The only drawback that some people see is the large presence of seaweed all along the shore; after that, there are no more seaweeds, but that's what you get with a natural wasteland, beautiful.
