Fantastic experience: Fresh water, paid parking available (try to arrive before 8 am otherwise it’s full) and nice vibe overall.
Positive experience: Gorgeous beach. Super crowded and get here early or good luck parking. Police ticket and tow cars aggressively.
Fantastic experience: Great place to paddle board, swim and snorkel. Town is nice and there are plenty of restaurants. Watch out for the old arrogant french couple though who think they're old money but clearly not because they've nothing better to do with their day than argue about a public bench and boast about owning property in the town, you'll recognize them a mile off from their inability to look anywhere else but down their nose
Fantastic experience: Like a dream. My new favorite place to swim in the Mediterranean. One note, parking on the street that leads to the beach was fine - but witnessed someone go up into a parking lot (on the left facing away from the beach) and dragged the bottom of their car. So caution if not parking on the street level.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach, you have to go early to park or else you would have to park far away.

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful, a bit small and crowded but we managed to find space; throughout the day it clears up. The water is quite cold and for greater comfort, wear shoes. The atmosphere is calm and family-friendly. There are public restrooms and a variety of restaurants. Parking is a bit complicated, but if you go all the way to the back, you will find it. If you walk to the other cove, it is smaller and has stones but is more private, it's a 2-minute walk. You also have options for diving, renting boats, etc. There are supermarkets and various shops. Dogs are not allowed, although there were some on the beach but not swimming.

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful place. Sandy beach and two nearby coves. Marina to stroll around. Charming little village and hotel by the sea. However, facing the marina, I suppose the nightlife is quite noisy, as all the restaurants are on the marina. The beach is well suited for children as it has a gentle slope and calm sea due to the relatively deep lagoon. If you prefer calm with a wild lagoon, head more towards Begur, Fornells beach, or the two top hotels (Hotel Eetu and Hotel Algua Blava, which is more expensive). Hotel Eetu is less expensive with an incredible sea view, great rooms with a balcony, and a super seawater pool. The owner is attentive, helpful, and very nice. He speaks a little French.
Positive experience: Beautiful urban beach, its white buildings create a peaceful environment to the eye, the sand is fine, lovely Tamariu.
Fantastic experience: Magnificent beach, splendid scenery with crystal clear water. The only downside is the cleanliness of the visitors, cigarette butts found in the sand even though bins are available nearby, a pleasant setting nonetheless with dining options nearby.

Fantastic experience: After living here 2 years, I must say this is my favorite beach. It’s easy to get in & out of the water (water shoes are helpful at any beach). It’s wide enough for lots of people & there are numerous restaurants to eat at. My personal favorite is Es Dofí, they go out of their way to make sure everyone gets a sunny seat w/a view. But if you prefer inside seating they have that. And the menu comes in many languages. Friendly staff!

Fantastic experience: Excellent beach, I love it! It has everything to enjoy the summer days. In summer, there are lifeguards every day.
Fantastic experience: A spectacular beach to enjoy in the season. An important detail that caught my attention was the NON-EXISTENCE OF LIFEGUARD SERVICE as of June 13, with many tourists enjoying and many school children. A danger!!! @ayuntamientodepalafrugell For consideration.

Negative experience: Fascinating scenery, but unfortunately extremely dirty and overcrowded even after 4pm. Broken bottles lie scattered on the cliffs where children are climbing, food leftovers everywhere, dirty diapers left behind, and plastic cups and bandages floating in the water. On top of that, the sea was full of jellyfish. It’s a real shame that such a beautiful place is so neglected, and that visitors don’t take responsibility for cleaning up or taking their garbage with them.
Fantastic experience: Fresh water, paid parking available (try to arrive before 8 am otherwise it’s full) and nice vibe overall.
Negative experience: Dirty… littered and overpriced. Not worth the time frankly.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place. We stopped for a few hours. We completely loved. We will return for sure. My daughter had fun with the waves and the sea. When we wanted to go in the end, she didn't want to go. She was in love.

Positive experience: Nice beach to spend the day, it's not one of the prettiest on the Costa Brava but it's great if you like to dive or take a paddle surf walk among the boats that are docked. There's a trampoline so people can jump into the water without any problem and not have to jump from the rocks, super cool for kids, but the ground does have a lot of big stones which can be a bit annoying to walk on.
Fantastic experience: Amazing beach... with small stones, perfect for families. You can do kayaking, paddle surfing individually or with family or friends. The waters are calm and crystal clear. There is nearby parking that costs 2.8 for the whole day and it is shaded by pine trees, which is appreciated during the summer. However, you should arrive before 10 because it fills up quickly. There are restaurants in the area where you can eat well for less than 15 euros per person.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful and authentic bay. Not great for snorkeling due to the many small boats.

Fantastic experience: Awesome little town with a great beach. Sprawling main section sided by quiet little coves. Great short walks onto rocky outcrops. We spent many days here. Good for snorkelling and swimming. Cool in April but still warm enough for a swim.
Negative experience: What a crappy beach, it's not worth it at all, a trek to get there and people everywhere, we went in February.
Fantastic experience: Simply spectacular.
Fantastic experience: What a beautiful Tamariu! A quiet picturesque cove. It's hard to imagine what it's like here in the high season. At the end of September, it was wonderful, still warm, few people. Only one Spar grocery store was open, small restaurants on the little promenade. The beach has very fine pebbles. There is a diving board from which you can jump into the water (but you have to climb over the stones to get to it). There isn't a long promenade to walk along. It's also uncomfortable to walk on foot around the town. The streets are narrow, cars are driving. But there is a hiking path that leads through the stones, cliffs, and pine forest along the sea. It's worth wearing sports shoes. Tamariu looks like some fishing village from Hemingway's books.
Positive experience: Half of the beach is occupied by someone working in kayaking tourism, they have no customer service awareness. Aside from that, it's quiet, beautiful, and there are many tourists.
Fantastic experience: Simply beautiful!
Positive experience: Highly recommend a beautiful place.
Positive experience: We liked this beach, we were here in September. It's fine.

Positive experience: Beautiful urban beach, its white buildings create a peaceful environment to the eye, the sand is fine, lovely Tamariu.
Fantastic experience: My favorite beach to spend the day (except in July and Aug) it’s heaven to spend the day swimming and relaxing with stunning views. Enjoy a laid back lunch and a siesta later. If I won the lottery I’d buy a place here.
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach, I love it! It has everything to enjoy the summer days. In summer, there are lifeguards every day.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach, you have to go early to park or else you would have to park far away.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, fun activities. Area with so many sea caves to explore, by boat/kayak/paddle board.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular
Fantastic experience: Magnificent beach, splendid scenery with crystal clear water. The only downside is the cleanliness of the visitors, cigarette butts found in the sand even though bins are available nearby, a pleasant setting nonetheless with dining options nearby.
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful places in the area
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach
Positive experience: Nice cozy cove beach. Busy though so go early.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach
Fantastic experience: Lovely little cove with crystal clear water. Perfect for a swim or to swim in peace. Nice diving board built into the rocks for a lot of fun.
Fantastic experience: Lovely little beach with beautiful water and nice restaurants all around
Fantastic experience: Magnificent place, we loved spending our afternoons there... Magnificent coves, diving board on the rocks....++++
Negative experience: A wonderful place, overcrowded with posh people, mate... I recommend it if you are posh or especially if you want to be, and if you are a girl, to show off in your environment by infesting the Costa Brava, gentrifying it and making it more expensive.
Fantastic experience: Superb beach that locals enjoy
Fantastic experience: The beach is nice, near Calella de Palafurgell.
Positive experience: Parking is paid per minute, I've never encountered something like this. There are a lot of people. Lines everywhere.
Fantastic experience: Awesome: beautiful beach. Quite intimate due to its size.
Fantastic experience: Ideal for a night dive. You can park quite well at a reasonable price. If you want to enjoy good nightlife, you can't miss it... Recommended.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place with a pebbly beach and rocks. A good number of restaurants along the beach, grocery stores, with souvenirs and clothes. Presence of a lifeguard on the beach. Possibility to rent water equipment. Clean water. A diving board has been installed on the rocks. I recommend!!!
Fantastic experience: Fantastic
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful places on the Costa Brava.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful place
Fantastic experience: A bit crowded but I love this town!
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful, a bit small and crowded but we managed to find space; throughout the day it clears up. The water is quite cold and for greater comfort, wear shoes. Fantastic experience: beautiful place and cove
Fantastic experience: Magnificent cove but always packed, the water is clear, everything is perfect because the place is very beautiful, but in summer it's too crowded; its beauty is more appreciated off-season.
Fantastic experience: Always a beautiful view
Fantastic experience: A paradise-like place in Catalonia
Fantastic experience: A spectacular beach to enjoy in the season. An important detail that caught my attention was the NON-EXISTENCE OF LIFEGUARD SERVICE as of June 13, with many tourists enjoying and many school children. A danger!!! @ayuntamientodepalafrugell For consideration.
Fantastic experience: Very cool, we went on a Wednesday in early June. It wasn’t crowded, it was very nice.
Fantastic experience: Very good beach
Fantastic experience: Magnificent beach with crystal clear waters. Restaurants nearby.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with great possibilities to hike
Fantastic experience: Very good
Fantastic experience: Super nice little beach
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach of the authentic Costa Brava.
Fantastic experience: One of the best coves in the Ampurdà, small but charming, good places to eat by the sea, it is fantastic.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular
Fantastic experience: A beautiful, small beach with a few restaurants. Very quiet and relaxing in December.
Fantastic experience: Snorkel
Fantastic experience: Nice!
Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches on the Costa Brava
Fantastic experience: Simply magnificent. A small beach still preserved.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service and excellent paella!! Thank you, friends
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach, few inhabitants, super attentive.
Fantastic experience: Ideal for families
Fantastic experience: Wonderful beach with several restaurants and easy access...
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful place. Coastal paths are very neglected. Perhaps the town hall of Palafrugell should do something. They are not passable for elderly people or those with difficulty walking. Too many houses by the sea and they do not leave space for proper coastal paths like those in other towns. The restaurants are well maintained and the staff very friendly.
Positive experience: Small but very nice
Positive experience: Beautiful corner, it is a privilege to live here
Fantastic experience: Spectacular. Beautiful and peaceful, the nature there is a complete relaxation.
Fantastic experience: Good beach, calm waters, clean and with turquoise colors. Nearby parking, with bars and restaurants. Will return.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and calm beach in September, there are restaurants with sea views, spectacular cove.
Positive experience: Typical and family-friendly place
Fantastic experience: Magnificent
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach
Fantastic experience: Beach with very clear water and a very beautiful environment!
Fantastic experience: Magnificent beach ❤️
Fantastic experience: One of my favorite beaches, especially early in the morning when there are few people. A stony beach without sandy spots that stick. Crystal clear water where you can see the entire seabed and the fish; it's better to wear water shoes. A great place to observe the fish, and there is a trampoline on a rock from which you can jump.
Fantastic experience: Very cozy environment, feels like a family village. Delicious food and a super pleasant little beach.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular
Positive experience: Tiny but cute
Positive experience: It's nice, ... too crowded
Fantastic experience: Charming beach and close to coves accessible by walking
Positive experience: For sure, everything you expect from a beach, this place provides!! Highly recommend!!!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach in a spectacular setting. You need water shoes because of the stones. Very crowded and difficult to park.
Positive experience: Small beach that is very crowded with tourists. There are other nearby coves that are much better. The views for taking pictures are beautiful, although there are too many boats and too many people.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach on the Costa Brava
Fantastic experience: We loved this beach, it has already made it to our list of favorites.
Fantastic experience: A beautiful, small, quiet place with facilities to spend a good day!
Positive experience: Beautiful beach. It has a paid parking lot and another one a little further inland that is free. A multitude of restaurants and ice cream shops and some stores on the beach. Ideal for snorkeling as it has crystal clear water and is very clean. Overall, we liked it a lot, it is a bit overcrowded but during high season... almost all of them are like this.
Fantastic experience: A very quiet beach to spend the day, although a bit uncomfortable for swimming, the sand is very coarse, almost like stone, but otherwise excellent, surrounded by restaurants to enjoy all kinds of seafood.
Fantastic experience: Undeveloped gem. Can get busy in the high season
Positive experience: Charming beach of Costa Brava, smaller than Calella but also fascinating. Thanks to being a bay it creates a really captivating mix of colors and light reflexions on the sea and the surounding cliffs. The sand is mid sized, it has showers for both body and feet and on the left bank you can find the boat taxi service in case you came in your yatch. At least 6 restaurants on the seaside, and 3 more a little bit more inside the village make sure that you will find a place for diner. A good option for discovering Costa Brava's spirit.
Fantastic experience: Top of the
Fantastic experience: We spent total 7 days at there and it was perfect. The beach is really beautiful. Water might be a bit dirty some days during morning though. Also there are great hiking paths towards west and you can reach perfect hidden bays by following the hiking paths.
Fantastic experience: With crystal clear waters and white sand, Tamariu beach is an excellent option to go in a hot day, specially during the week when the beach is way calmer and less touristic. The strip of sand isn’t very large so on Sundays it might be a hot chaotic. But in overall is an awesome beach.
Positive experience: Very accessible, clean water and nice restaurants around. The only downside is that firing the summer the town gets full very fast and there are no parking spots.
Fantastic experience: A fantastic small fishing town, I have been there 10 time's every summer, the restaurant and the local are so friendly.
