Fantastic experience: Particularly, I have been closer to Os Castelos than to the Ría. It is a very, very, very calm beach. Family-friendly. Gentle waves, perfect sandcastles. The Os Castelos area, heading towards Covas, has more shells and slightly less friendly sand, but in general fine sand and, one thing that surprised us a lot, SHINY!!

Fantastic experience: Very nice beach! My partner and I are from Seville and we stayed near Viveiro. We saw that they had bad reviews but when we arrived and were there, we didn't understand why. It's a very very quiet beach with amazing tranquility. The beach has fine sand, which I like a lot, and the water is super good. There are hardly any seaweeds and the truth is that it feels really good. If one day we return to Galicia, we will visit it again.

Positive experience: This is nice beach with a rock outcropping with a small bridge. Like most beaches in the area it transforms between low and high tide. In both cases it is very picturesque. Parking was easy at the beach even in July. The four star rating is because the water visibility was not as good as at other beaches making the snorkeling not as interesting. The rocks did have love oysters on them which I found unusual. There were a few cuttlefish in the rocks. There is some amazing snorkeling at the little island at the end of the rock outcropping at low tide but only if you want to dive down. Scuba would be better at that location.
