Fantastic experience: Beach with a very nice atmosphere, very spacious and with low tide it leaves a lot of sandy area, ideal for kids. Lots of surfers. The lifeguards delimit the areas and keep an eye on things. When there are waves, you have a great time. Paid parking throughout the municipality. I recommend going early to find parking during peak season. €14 for the whole afternoon in the blue zone.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach with areas for surfers and bathers. Free and well-maintained restrooms available. Possibility to rent surfboards at a reasonable price and have a lot of fun. I recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach!! No dogs allowed from 6am till 9pm as the sign says. I could not find this info anywhere online so posting it here in case anyone wants to know it as well.
Negative experience: Hunde verboten.
Positive experience: Lovely beach, loads of cafes and surfers, plenty of toilets and facilities to wash the sand off. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the beach but they can walk along the promenade with their owners. It's a shame that not even a section of the beach is dog friendly. There also appears to be a nudist section on the far side away from the main town. There is a lot of plastic on the shoreline, it would be good to have some signs up to ask people to pick up 3 pieces of plastic from the beach to encourage people to think about the impact of plastic eye to the sea. Often done in the UK on surfers beaches this has a positive effect and helps clean up the ocean.
Positive experience: The perfect beach and the beautiful promenade, but what I don't understand is that with all the beach they have, there isn't a space to bring your pet during the heatwave. The schedule starting at 9 PM to enter with dogs is a shame; I couldn't enjoy their waves in summer since there is no beach suitable for dogs.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach Zarautz, very large with golden sand, well equipped with all kinds of services, well-kept bathrooms, at the seaside there are cafes and restaurants. The city is very clean, I compliment the mayor of the city and the citizens of Zarautz for making it so beautiful. I also recommend it to families with children; it's ideal.

Fantastic experience: Excellent beach at the foot of Karlos Arguiñano's restaurant
Positive experience: Beautiful and very long beach with a nice promenade and plenty of beach bars to eat. Parking is difficult and paid, blue zone. The rest of the spots are for residents.

Fantastic experience: A long beach where you have to be aware of the tides; at low tide it is very large with space to walk, play, and sunbathe, but as the tide rises, it becomes smaller, until it disappears near the village. It is a beach very focused on surfing, where there are several surf schools. When the sea is rough, the waves and the force of the sea can reach the promenade, requiring the removal of terraces and, in some cases, closing bars and protecting them. Along the promenade, there are bars and restaurants; the beach does not have establishments on the sand, they are located on the promenade.

Fantastic experience: I took a pee and got out. Zarauz Beach, June 15, 2024, approximately between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, five fifty-something friends. After a day of biking, we decided to take a dip to cool our legs. We went down from the Gran Camping Zarautz, passed by a group of lifeguards sitting in front of two yellow flags where we entered the sea, two jumped in quickly and the other three were entering slowly, at that moment the coolness of the water at knee height made two decide not to enter, I went with those who jumped in, with the water at my waist, I approached my friend and said: 'I took a pee and got out', I moved a little away from him, turned around and at that moment the sea changed completely and started pushing us out. We were trying our best to walk since we could stand and taking advantage of the wave, we swam forward a meter but then the waves pulled me a couple of meters inside, I saw us separating and we couldn't help each other, we struggled to get out but it seemed impossible and at that moment the LIFEGUARDS appeared, thanks to their help we were able to get out. I can only say THANK YOU. GREAT JOB.

Fantastic experience: Prachtig strand. Fijn zand, hoge golven. Veel strandwachten actief en duidelijk dmv vlaggen of je de zee in mag. Parkeren op nog geen 10 min. loopafstand. Echt een aanrader als je in de buurt van de kustlijn van Baskenland bent.

Fantastic experience: Very pleasant surprise this beach. Clean, fresh, transparent at least in August. If the tide is low, you have to take a nice walk to reach the water, but that way you can work off the delicious steaks you have eaten these days in this beautiful area.

Fantastic experience: Playa muy limpia. Si te gusta el surf es tu playa! Para niños, siempre acompañados porque es el Cantábrico pero es divertida ya que cerca del monte Talaimendi está la desembocadura de una ría y con marea baja hay muchas piedras para capturar a "pobres" cangrejos y otra fauna marina.

Fantastic experience: Zarauz / Zarautz. Flanked by the fishing towns of Orio and Getaria, Zarauz is located in a privileged setting. In the past, it was chosen by many personalities as a vacation spot, which has left it with a great cultural architectural heritage. Zarauz Beach is the most famous and longest in all of Euskadi, its fine sand dunes and waves have made it the surfing mecca. Zarauz captivates!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place for a walk and to see the sea, especially when the waves crash strongly. Plenty of surfing and places to eat or have a drink by the sea.
Fantastic experience: We visited it during a full sea storm, so we couldn't enjoy everything it offers. That said, the scenery is spectacular. Be careful with the waves, as that day the people who were on the terrace got soaked hehehe. I'm sure a sunny day would be great, both on the promenade and having a drink in one of its bars, ice cream shops or on a bench.
