Fantastic experience: Wonderful fine sand beach ideal for children to play. Be careful if you don't know it, because the low tide reveals some rocks that can catch you off guard during high tide. Many surfers, there must be a reason. To get there, the pine surroundings remind me of Soria (and its Pita beach). Free parking right by the beach. A working day in September, ideal. In summer with heat, you will definitely park further away...
Fantastic experience: An impressive beach and landscape with free parking and very accessible. Perfect for spending the day with family. I won't add photos. You will have to experience it and know it in person.
Fantastic experience: This beach is beautiful!! We went yesterday with our kids. You walk through a forest, and when you arrive, there are quite a few parking spaces. The beach itself is lovely and super clean! The sand is fantastic. But... ADVICE: If you want to go with kids, you have to go early! The tide is low, there are 'little pools,' and the sea is still calm. At noon, they started placing flags, and you could only swim between the flags (and up to your knees). After 3 PM, it's already forbidden to go into the water. Only between some rocks in a somewhat narrow space, and it was full of people. The fun part of the afternoon is watching those who practice kite surfing!
Positive experience: Large and spacious beach. Although when we went there was a strong undertow and a red flag, you could still swim. The water is quite refreshing. There is an easily accessible rocky area. Above the beach, there is a beach bar. Although it is quite expensive, it is close to the beach and has good sea views.
Fantastic experience: It is one of the largest beaches in Cantabria, perfect for walking. There is a ramp for access and showers at the exit. There are several parking areas. The views are beautiful, as well as the sunsets. You can walk to the estuary (be careful, at the end of the beach, there is quite a bit of wood and you can trip). There is a Red Cross booth and a beach bar nearby. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: Too many puppies.. I don't like domestic dogs! Because there are messes.. and these dogs are not trained, they come over, start licking you, and start jumping, I don't like it!!! And I shouldn't have to endure this.
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach for walking dogs. As a bathing beach, I find it very dangerous due to the currents and the strong winds that usually blow.

Fantastic experience: Amazing sandy beach that forms a tongue, at the foot of the Liencres Dunes, you need the sea to be with you, because it opens to the sea and it may have a red flag, better check beforehand what flag the Red Cross has put up. As for services, there is a beach bar, a Red Cross hut, and a fairly large monitored free parking, at least during the day.
Fantastic experience: November 2021,,, Spectacular,,, Be careful not to go too far into the water during swimming season, as with all beaches and especially in open waters. The Dunes, amazing, the length of the beach is a wonder, the sand is very fine, the sunset is a show, a walk along it, the best,,,,, June 2022, the overcrowding of visitors to our beaches arrives, always enjoy these with great caution.
Fantastic experience: Beach of more than 2 kilometers with moderate waves and the sandy area protected by the Liencres dunes.

Fantastic experience: Large beach and comfortable for parking, as it has two spacious nearby parking lots. It has a beach bar.
Fantastic experience: Perfect beach, it has good access, a shower, and a restaurant. When the tide goes out, the beach is immense, perfect for walking and playing in the sand.

Positive experience: Wide beach, but when the tide comes in, it becomes quite small, in the part closest to the entrance, I mean. Lifeguard service and showers, bar, surfing, etc. Few times green flag, almost always yellow, many red, good waves to enjoy the sea, with caution.
Positive experience: Playa bastante larga , amplia y bonita.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful waves
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach but before going check the flags, there are strong waves.
Positive experience: Many waves.

Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach if you like wave baths. We enjoyed it a lot.
Fantastic experience: Large beach and comfortable for parking, as it has two spacious nearby parking lots. It has a beach bar.
Negative experience: The road is in terrible condition. Poorly paved, worn out, crumbling, there is no parking space, the spots are very narrow, and every year, tourism in the area just keeps increasing. A completely neglected place.
Fantastic experience: It's a super beautiful and very long beach where, if you want space, you can walk a bit and be alone.
Fantastic experience: Una pasada. Me ha encantado
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach with excellent scenery and tranquility. But one piece of advice: we were there during the December bridge of 2023, and I made the mistake of swimming. Gradually, the currents pulled me away, and you don't realize it until it's too late. To come back, I really had a terrible time and felt tremendous fear. If you swim, be very careful. Other than that, a spectacular place.
Fantastic experience: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN SWIMMING AT THIS BEACH. It is likely to be the most dangerous of all CANTABRIA. In some sections of the beach, very strong RIP currents can form and could pull you out to sea. Although it may seem strange, the safest areas are those where the waves break. Avoid the sections where the waves do not reach the beach, because that is where one of these currents can occur. If you get caught in one, don’t panic and don’t try to fight against it. Swim parallel to the shore until you reach an area with breaking waves and gradually swim out with their help.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular sunset, even in the middle of winter
Fantastic experience: Dirty but spectacular.
Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in Cantabria, an ideal place to walk throughout the year, the pups enjoy it a lot. Be careful in the area at the end of the beach, the tides collect trash and lots of wood, and it's easy to trip over the wood and plastics. Not recommended to swim except in the area near the parking due to cross currents. A great place to watch the sunset.
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach for walking dogs. As a bathing beach, I find it very dangerous due to the currents and the strong winds that usually blow.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach with a great promenade to recharge. The sunsets are a different color every day. I love this place.
Fantastic experience: My favorite beach
Fantastic experience: I have been vacationing here for a few years and it is one of my favorite beaches. Beautiful.
Positive experience: An spectacular beach, with a large parking area where you can spend a lovely day with the family
Fantastic experience: Beach of more than 2 kilometers with moderate waves and the sandy area protected by the Liencres dunes.
Fantastic experience: If you like long walks, this is the beach.
Fantastic experience: Only the best can work at this beach... this is a review for the lifeguard team of the Red Cross at Valdearenas. Thank you!!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and extensive beach to stroll peacefully
Fantastic experience: It's a spectacular beach. With a rocky area ideal for kids to entertain themselves watching crabs and fish. We went during the week and were able to park at 10, but on Saturday there was no space at that hour. Highly recommended.
Positive experience: Great sandy beach, very beautiful, spacious, and pleasant. The only downside is the parking; in August, it is very difficult to find a spot, and you have no choice but to walk from the pine forest. It is a nice and enjoyable walk, but it feels long if you are carrying a lot.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular, it doesn't matter when you go because it's beautiful, cloudy, raining, or sunny.
Fantastic experience: Perfect beach, it has good access, a shower, and a restaurant. When the tide goes out, the beach is immense, perfect for walking and playing in the sand.
Fantastic experience: Amazing beach! I had a wonderful day here, enjoying a spectacular show of waves. The water is beautiful and clean! You should come here if you enjoy the sea/ocean! Playa de Valdearenas, Cantambria, Spain
Fantastic experience: Incredible beach! The power of the ocean controled by the sand. Perfect beach for everyone, very big and with beautiful water.
