Fantastic experience: Ideal for walking both in summer and winter (I prefer it in winter). There is a good parking area, showers, cafeterias, and benches. Very clean sand.
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach - clean, sandy with shallow warm(ish) water and some beach cafes. We were there in the busy August period but were able to park (free) and as the beach is so long it didn't feel too crowded
Negative experience: It is surprising and sad the minimal concern that the local authorities of Nigrán have for Playa América. After so many years coming to this wonderful natural environment, it seems that public services are getting worse and worse. What are these leaders doing? The lifeguard service is present at the beach when holidaymakers have already been there for hours, and they leave long before the sun sets, not to mention their absolute absence in June and September. Do they really not know how to manage it better? The services (bathrooms) are third-world, dirty, broken, and have been in the same condition for years. I frequently visit other beaches, and at least their services are minimally acceptable. I won't even mention their management of parking, where the law of the jungle prevails. Seriously, don't you feel ashamed? It is the absolute municipal incompetence.
Fantastic experience: Reference beach in Val Miñor, due to its relative amount of parking and length for walking or the different activities to enjoy.
Fantastic experience: Huge beach. Busy but not overwhelming. Relatively easy parking, right by the beach.

Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beaches of the Rías Baixas. You can enjoy the beach or a promenade full of bars and beach bars with live music and markets. They allow dogs to walk on the beach in winter.

Fantastic experience: spacious sandy beach, during peak season and with good weather it is quite crowded, there are restrooms but scarce for such a large public, the area of the estuary is great for the little ones because wonderful pools are formed, parking is not easy
Fantastic experience: Fine sandy beach and very enjoyable, although there are no significant waves, when the tide rises, a lagoon is created that kids really enjoy playing in.

Positive experience: A very crowded beach, good atmosphere, wavy water, large spaces, beach bars, and restrooms (not very clean during the season)
Fantastic experience: Very large beach with a lot of influx. Many parking lots. To the south, there is a food truck with very good churros; I recommend the ones with chocolate coating, they are very crispy. Throughout the area, there are restaurants, bars, and other shops.
Fantastic experience: Very nice, a lot of variety of restaurants. Clean restrooms. Foot showers and showers.
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beaches of the Rías Baixas. You can enjoy the beach or a promenade full of bars and beach bars with live music and markets. They allow dogs to walk on the beach in winter.
Positive experience: An excellent place. Surrounded by restaurants and cafes to eat and have a drink. The area has a large playground for children, both in the water and on the promenade. The beach is clean and quite large. To point out a downside, in the month of August it becomes impractical, too many people for my taste, with endless lines to eat. If you are going to visit the beach, don't do it in the month of August.

Fantastic experience: Gran descubrimiento.

Fantastic experience: If you wanna find water with a pleasant temperature, this is the place! The warmest beach water I have ever experienced in Europe.

Positive experience: I recommend this beach.. there is parking space near the beach but not on it.. it is not necessary.. except for exceptions obviously.. but you can walk 5 steps to get to the beach.. there is a parallel street with many parking spots and close to the beach as well.. the sand is white and fine and the beach is long and wide so when the tide rises you don't feel like being in a can of sardines. It is quite crowded. Arriving at the village by the beach there are many small pebbles.. KONTUZ!!!!! You can see the Cies and the sunsets are very beautiful.. It usually gets windy. There are inflatables to swim to and after the Pantxon beach there is another one for surfing!!! It is lively with beach bars on the upper part and vendors. It is clean and well-kept. I recommend this beach!!!!!
Fantastic experience: Spectacular long sandy beach, with minimal surf due to the sheltered bay. A small boat anchorage at one end, and lots of beach bars/restaurants. Gets pretty crowded in summer

Fantastic experience: Hermosa playa!!!

Fantastic experience: Paradise.

Positive experience: Very good beach for children, with a wide sandy area. I recommend it.
Fantastic experience: Straddling between a tourist beach and a more natural one is Playa America. Nice location. Avenue with a couple of places to eat, such as Casa Eladio.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, parking is an experience
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach
Fantastic experience: One of my favorite beaches
Positive experience: Wide beach always with plenty of space
Fantastic experience: Beautiful
Fantastic experience: Good beach
Fantastic experience: Very cool beach
Fantastic experience: Fine sandy beach and very enjoyable, although there are no significant waves, when the tide rises, a lagoon is created that kids really enjoy playing in.
Positive experience: A very large, extensive beach without many people if you go during the week.
Fantastic experience: Wide beach for nice walks along the shore. It has showers and free parking spaces, as long as you go early since it gets crowded. There are nearby eateries where you can eat well or order some sandwiches for a day at the beach.
Fantastic experience: Very large beach with a lot of influx. Many parking lots. To the south, there is a food truck with very good churros; I recommend the ones with chocolate coating, they are very crispy. Throughout the area, there are restaurants, bars, and other shops.
Fantastic experience: Incredible beach
Fantastic experience: ❤️
Fantastic experience: Ideal location and beautiful beach to spend the day
Fantastic experience: Perfect beach for kids and families. I highly recommend it.
Negative experience: Horrible, older men without swimsuits, a lack of respect. And full of seaweed, you can't swim in the water.
Fantastic experience: Very nice, a lot of variety of restaurants. Clean restrooms. Foot showers and showers.
Negative experience: The beach, what can I say, is wonderful, but the waste management is terrible. There are a lot of fishing net remnants, which people spontaneously collect and gather in makeshift trash. These images are from May.
Positive experience: Wide, with low tide. Very long. Fine sand, pleasant atmosphere and fun waves. Few showers.
Positive experience: Good
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful, I spent little time working!
Fantastic experience: It's fantastic; one of the best I've visited.
Positive experience: From Monday to Friday there are fewer people and it's better.
Fantastic experience: It's a very nice beach, I would remove the showers (even if it meant losing the blue flag) because it's an abuse how people waste water. We'll see if they don't cut it off like they did another year.
Fantastic experience: It's the best beach in Nigrán. It has almost 1.5 km of golden sand and has maintained a blue flag for years. It is surrounded by dunes and has all kinds of services. From there, you can see stunning sunsets and privileged views of the Estelas Islands, Monteferro, and the Cies Islands from its southern tip.
Fantastic experience: One of my favorite beaches in Val Miñor. It has parking areas all along and there is a nice promenade for exercising.
Fantastic experience: Quiet beach with access to dining nearby, parking can be complicated on beach days.
Fantastic experience: Because if it's cool during the day, at night it's another madness
Fantastic experience: Ideal for walking or spending the day, it has all services nearby and also plenty of parking space.
Positive experience: Very nice.
Fantastic experience: Many memories from my childhood. Great beach
Fantastic experience: My lifelong beach is clean and beautiful
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach, it has a great promenade with cafés, there are several access points along the beach, a park for children of all ages including a small zip line. Great for going with kids!!
Positive experience: Kilometric beach in length and depth, charming in winter, crowded in summer...
Fantastic experience: It has always been my favorite beach and now I have been living here in NIGRÁN for three years. A natural paradise and I feel at home.✨
Negative experience: Very dirty and neglected beach by the town hall, in summer there is nowhere to park, multiple traffic jams, and watch out for a bike passing over you if you walk along the promenade. The local police do not exist.
Fantastic experience: It's a fantastic area for outdoor sports (especially in winter)
Fantastic experience: Wonderful, it is a great place for everyone, the walk is fabulous, it is a charming spot.
Positive experience: The beach is nice and has good parking, the only thing I don't like is that it is very crowded.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic beach, very easy to access. It has a huge parking area where it is very easy to park during the cold season. In summer it costs more but there is always a spot to be found. A very good alternative if you want to change from the beaches of Vigo city. Although if you go early, there are some super nice coves to visit in Nigrán, but they have very little parking.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach!!!
Positive experience: I give it three for the weather. I think it's a good beach.
Fantastic experience: Beach with crystal clear waters that invites you to explore it in all its length. The promenade from Playa América to Bayona is highly recommended. It's a true delight to rejuvenate the body and mind.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful beach. Fine white sand. Just the right waves to have a great time jumping over them. Huge area to walk, meditate, play, sunbathe.... Highly recommended any sunny day from September to June. If there's wind... everything is at Playa América. It's not sheltered at all. In July and August, there are a lot of people, very difficult to park. There are no spaces to leave bicycles (only lampposts).
Fantastic experience: Beautiful
Fantastic experience: Very spacious beach which makes it very good!!!
Fantastic experience: Extensive beach with green sea
Fantastic experience: Amazing amazing beach and place
Fantastic experience: Paradise!!! Beautiful, calm, good gastronomy and beach.
Positive experience: One of the most beautiful beaches of the Vigo estuary. Located in the municipality of Nigrán.
Fantastic experience: Very spacious and beautiful beach
Positive experience: Although it is large, there is an excessive number of bathers during the summer months. Otherwise, excellent beach.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful place to spend a few quiet days in September!
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beaches of the Rías Baixas. You can enjoy the beach or a promenade full of bars and beach bars with live music and markets. They allow dogs to walk on the beach in winter.
Positive experience: Very nice. But during spring tides, there is no beach.
Fantastic experience: A very nice beach with calm waters.
Fantastic experience: Superb beach, it is large so there is plenty of room for everyone, no towels next to the neighbor.
Fantastic experience: Family beach, I liked it and I will go back more often.
Fantastic experience: A little piece of heaven on earth, in the two days I was there, I had a very good vacation, if I can I will return. (2023) I CAME BACK!!!!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful large beach, separated from the pedestrian area by fences with plants. Clean beach, there are showers and toilets, free parking for cars, but I believe that in the summer months there will not be enough parking spaces. Also, across the road, there is a playground and a cafe. If desired, you can have a good rest enjoying the views, the ocean, the sun, and relaxation.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic beach at all levels. With good access, a large parking area, various restrooms, and dining options nearby. Extremely clean, the sand is soft, the water temperature is almost always very inviting and, besides that, it's quite peaceful despite the large crowd.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. Long bright sandy beach, fitted into a wide bay. Water is clear. Water temperatures are Atlantic :), those who prefer warm bathing should rather go to the Mediterranean.
Fantastic experience: Very good
Fantastic experience: Incredible and very beautiful beach
Positive experience: Big beach, quite clean. Sometimes too many people.
Fantastic experience: Everything is beautiful, a spacious beach and it is very easy to park.
The beach is clean and quite large. To point out a downside, in the month of August it becomes impractical, too many people for my taste, with endless lines to eat. If you are going to visit the beach, don't do it in the month of August.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular long sandy beach, with minimal surf due to the sheltered bay. A small boat anchorage at one end, and lots of beach bars/restaurants. Gets pretty crowded in summer
Fantastic experience: A wonderful beach!!! I the summer the water is a bit warmer here than in other, close by places. Nice sand, gorgeous view, good for walks or running at any time of the year.
