Fantastic experience: Very good beach and easy access, there are bathrooms and showers in high season, and parking is good if you go early during high season. Recommended for families, very spacious and clean. I go every summer and I wouldn't change it.
Negative experience: No parking. A nightmare to go, they have made this beach a private beach for those who live there. A shame.
Fantastic experience: Access 6, Whale Beach, Rota: We generally review places from a foreign-family perspective. We have 2 small children and our ability to communicate in the local language (Spanish) is limited. Highlight: Wild "whale" beach. Clean and not commercialized. Great for children's play and sunset chill outs. Perhaps named as such because the beach looked like an upside down (or beached) whale, maybe. The wide beach, with the upper looser sand part slightly elevated from the rest, was an excellent playground for the kids. The tide has retreated at this time and the trapped waters created little lakes and “islands” that our boys joyously jumped and ran over and over and over again. They had forgotten about the toys they brought along! You will have to go through the residential buildings, gated compounds and quiet streets, in order to get to the beach. Though they were the nicest and cleanest we had seen so far, suggesting an upper-scale neighborhood. A flotilla of catamarans provided the additional visual treat, thanks to the catamaran rental on site, for about 55 euros per hour. Playground: One (Nuevo Oasis) at the southern entrance to the wide beach (Access 5); another (Pena del Agila) at the northern entrance (Access 7); see separate reviews. As the signs indicated, the playgrounds itself is suited for children under 3 years old, but also worked for our older son. Accessibility: You need a car to get here. It is about 40 minutes from Plaza Arenal in Jerez de la Frontera. Parking is quite limited. Depending on where you park, you may use the bicycle path and the walkway to the beach for your pram/stroller. Then you’ll have to carry it for the rest. Services/bathroom: none observed at this beach access 6. Shade: some behind the dunes. Foreign-friendliness: not applicable. municipal announcement at the beach, as well as the legends on the map, were bilingual—Spanish and English. Food: no Chiringuitos (snack bar) visible from the beach area. There was one further in, behind the woods, at Access 5. You can buy food supplies at “Maxico Supermercado” at the intersection of the main road to the beach (Av Reina Sofia and Calle Pena del Aguila). Others: In October, the chiringuitos and bathrooms at other parts of the beach seemed to have closed down for the season. Downside: Lack of bathrooms (but hey, it's a wild beach ;); limited parking. Time visited: from 1930-2130 on a Saturday, mid-August; also in October.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach. Now in autumn is when you can enjoy it peacefully. Good access.
Positive experience: Nice beach. Safe for kids, but funny because there are usually waves but not to high. No so many parking spots. Eating places are not really good, better to go to Sanlucar or Rota.

Fantastic experience: I can say nothing but that it is pure paradise!! If it weren't for those who come with dogs and let them roam freely, and being able to see how they urinate on beach towels and beach bags of bathers!! And then you can't say anything to them!!, because they say their dogs also have the right to use the beach!!.. irresponsible and disgusting dog owners!!, since the animals are not to blame!!. If I went with my dog, I would always be attentive to him so that he wouldn't bother anyone, whether loose or leashed!! But I would never let him disturb anyone, and especially not to urinate on beach bags, like I've seen a girl take her bag that was urinated on and also how someone had their food bitten at the table, or how the fridge with food was knocked over when they fought amongst themselves, that's unacceptable - the best beach with the worst uncivil antisocial behavior!!. From now on, when I see something like that, the first thing I will do is record the loose dog, and then call the police and file a report myself with the recording so they can't lie later, as you call to tell them the dog is bothering and if they turn their back on you to pay no attention!!.. and from here, I recommend to all affected by loose dogs to record them first and then call the police and report the owners, the dogs are not to blame for anything!!..

Positive experience: Very nice beach but the showers don't work and there is no way to clean your feet from the sand.
Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches we have been to. There are a few small stones but they are not significant. A perfect place to spend the day and watch the sunset.
