- Positives:
- Excellent visibility underwater, making it ideal for snorkeling.
- Offers a charming chiringuito (beach bar) where you can enjoy refreshments.

- Close proximity to parking, though you should arrive early to secure a spot.
- Negatives:
- The beach can be quite crowded, particularly in the summer months.
- Access involves a short walk, which can be steep.

Positive experience: Nice beach on the N-340 with a large parking area.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach. You cannot park directly on the beach and you cannot see the parked car from the beach.
Positive experience: A very beautiful cove, clear waters and gorgeous views. Parking is good.
Fantastic experience: A small and very crowded cove. It's better to wake up early to park calmly. It's worth snorkeling in the area. We were lucky to take home a jellyfish sting as a souvenir.
Fantastic experience: Good place if you arrive early enough to park. Be careful that you have to walk a little and going down is fine, but coming back up after a day at the beach is a bit harder.

Fantastic experience: I got stung by a jellyfish, other than that, it's a pretty cool place. You have to go down a little ramp and then cross a tunnel that goes under the main road. It's a cove between big rocks and sand, nice. The day I went, the water was a bit murky, and I couldn't snorkel properly, but it looks good, recommended.
Negative experience: This beach is for visiting from September to June. July and August are impossible. Dirty with cigarette butts, more people than in a war, dogs running loose stepping on towels, people, etc., children acting like children without parents controlling them, terrible and complicated access, very small parking; if you arrive on a Saturday at 11, you'll have a hard time finding a spot. People leave their cars in prohibited places, and then when you are parked properly, you have the worst time of your life trying to get out. We won't return until well into September.
Fantastic experience: * A cove with very clean and calm water, * With a beach bar and kayak rental * In my opinion, there are not too many people... * ☀️ Up top, spacious... around 10:00 and there were still quite a few parking spots * Don’t go too loaded... as it is a downhill walk to get to the beach, about 6 streets... and remember... the worst part... the return. * Against some opinions... there were people with their dogs... who neither bothered nor barked... so we could all enjoy this wonderful cove... adults kids dogs.... of nature.... INSTEAD OF SO MANY PROHIBITIONS..... WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS EDUCATE THE PROBLEMATIC PEOPLE.... AND IN THEIR CASE, IF NECESSARY, PROHIBIT THEIR ENTRY..... * WATER SHOES ARE A MUST
Fantastic experience: Good afternoon. It is a beautiful beach with crystal clear waters. The informational signs state that dogs are not allowed (on the sign above in the parking lot and below next to the beach bar), we have been going to this beach for 10 days and every day there have been dogs wandering around, sniffing the belongings of those nearby and their owners acting as if nothing was wrong. This is neither education nor respect. We love animals, but rules are meant to be followed; there are many beaches suitable for dogs, cats... there is no need to disturb anyone. A little civility, please. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: There are two parking lots, one higher up on a curve by the sea and the other earlier on the opposite side. The latter is the access one, as you have to go under the road through a tunnel on foot. There is a man watching the parking lot, there is no obligation to give him anything, it's up to each person. Some vehicles park under the tunnel, I suppose some are from the beach bar and a few others. There are kayak rentals and a beach bar. I haven't tried eating there. The water is crystal clear. The first part is more rocky, the final part is more sandy. There are cliff areas, so the marine fauna is spectacular; snorkeling and water shoes are recommended. Dogs are not allowed from June 15 to September 15. During peak season, it fills up quickly, so it's advisable to arrive early.

Positive experience: Nicer quiet beach (October), however more stony and not so beautifully sandy.
Positive experience: Very clean cove, a lot of stones, little sand, beach bar, kayak rentals, and excursions with kayaks.
Fantastic experience: The sea is like a swimming pool. Crystal clear and calm. Although it has rocks, the beach is very pleasant.
Fantastic experience: You have to go with beach shoes, there is no sand, only pebbles, many pebbles. Its crystal clear waters, although today a bit cloudy, we had lunch with our food, you know, Spanish omelette, salad, and other snacks, and the special flavor of what our friend Juani contributes (pork loin in colorá lard, empanadas, etc.). A truly magnificent day.
Fantastic experience: If you want to go to La Rijana beach in Motril, you must get up early; the available parking is small. It is located across the road. Don't leave anything visible inside the car. From the parking lot, there is a descent via an easy access path that passes through the tunnel under the highway until you reach the beach. La Rijana is a small beach with little sand and pebbles, remember to bring a small shovel to be able to stake the umbrella ⛱️ or a stake for the foot. There are many stones beneath the sand. Another essential thing is water shoes; they will help you walk on the beach and enter and exit the sea while removing some sand points, as most of the shore has a lot of rocks. La Rijana is an ideal cove for breath-hold diving or with a tank. It has a nice rocky area with some caves. You can see a lot of fauna from 10 meters and snorkeling is possible when the sea is calm. If the sea is choppy and you have no experience, be especially careful with the currents.

Fantastic experience: I loved the cove. It's a shame that it was drizzling and in the end, we didn't go down, but since we were there, we saw it from the viewpoint that is a bit higher up from the parking. I could see that there is a beach bar, but I can't comment on it. There were also canoes; I imagine they rent them.
Positive experience: Very clean cove, a lot of stones, little sand, beach bar, kayak rentals, and excursions with kayaks.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach, as is normal in August, it's crowded. The beach bar located there is appreciated, as they serve very good mojitos.
Fantastic experience: Super beach just 5 minutes walk (big climb back) with sand. Sun loungers and restaurant!
Fantastic experience: Beach with turquoise waters, easily accessible, has a beach bar.

Positive experience: One of the best coves in the area, its biggest drawbacks are that due to its crystal-clear waters, it is completely overcrowded despite not having a lifeguard, showers, and parking that is insufficient for so many cars, and the absence of restrooms, sometimes leading people to relieve themselves in the tunnel...otherwise, a wonderful cove.
Fantastic experience: The access is not too bad, there is quite a large parking area and you have to walk down to the beach, crystal clear waters, very beautiful beach, there are no beach bars or lifeguards, there is a highly recommended kayak service and the person who manages it is very nice and professional.
Positive experience: It is clean, but everything is stones and it hurts quite a bit if you don't wear water shoes. The access to the beach is difficult. If you go a little bit into the sea, you fall into an abyss, and if there are waves... I won't even tell you. Obviously, there are no lifeguards, so if you don't know how to swim very well, don't go in!

Fantastic experience: Sublime beach crystal water

Fantastic experience: Spectacular small beach, with pebbles, parking a short distance from the beach. Very clear water ideal for diving. Kayaking and paddle surfing excursions. Beach bar and sunbeds with umbrellas.
Fantastic experience: One of the prettiest coves, in my opinion, in Andalucía. You don't have to walk miles, there's nearby parking, the water is great for snorkeling, and the beach bar has very good prices. It's basic but ideal for a sandwich or rice (hospitality 10). There’s also a very affordable area for kayak and paddle surf rentals, and then the good vibes among families, children, and young people respecting the place, which is the most important thing. If I were you, I wouldn't think twice ☺️
Positive experience: Wonderful cove and beach. The access is a bit complicated and it's rocky but it doesn't hurt. That said, anyone who can't swim should stay away because it's quite deep, and I'm talking about maybe 20 meters at once. Ideal for seeing marine life with a snorkel. Access is challenging and parking is non-existent, at least not next to the beach. There's a bit of a slope to get down to the beach. They were installing a booth so I suspect they are setting up a restaurant or terrace. The beach had a lot of people and I think it's semi-nudist. There were also people paddle surfing.
Fantastic experience: The best aquarium in Andalusia. It's luxurious to see those transparent waters. A place to enjoy snorkeling like kids and being amazed by the great variety of fish. A sure bet, fish guaranteed... And the videos with a waterproof camera look spectacular. I recommend snorkeling in the three areas: to the right, where there are little rocks at the entrance and dreamlike water, for beginners (you can stand). In the central area, go inward to see the bottom and its blue tone. And to the left, in the rocks and the gaps that separate the rock from the back area, where there are ups and downs of the bottom and a lot of vegetation around the rocks. In recent weeks, the water has had a very good temperature; at other times, due to the currents, it can be colder, even in summer, and there can be little jellyfish. So it's advisable to check the temperature on a site like tablademareas to know if it's advisable to wear a wetsuit. It's a beach with pebbles, and it is recommended to wear water shoes for walking and swimming. In July and August, there are kayak trips to nearby caves, kayak rentals, and paddle surf boards.

Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach... Crystal clear water, few people, and ideal for snorkeling.

Fantastic experience: Incredible experience. The kayak route has been wonderful both for the spectacular journey and for the professionals who allowed us to enjoy this gem. A luxury for the senses. Thank you because you are excellent travel companions. I recommend this experience and I will undoubtedly repeat it.
Positive experience: Very beautiful and complete natural beach, it has a beach bar and kayak and board rental, highly recommended. The only thing is that if you go on the weekend, it gets more crowded.
Fantastic experience: Kayak €17 for 2, 1 hour, bar very reasonable price, hammock €8 all day
Fantastic experience: Magnificent beach between the rocks, parking then a 5-minute walk, it can be done in flip-flops but it's better not to be too loaded for the return. Crystal clear water with fish. Possibility to rent sunbeds and kayaks. A little piece of paradise.

Positive experience: At this beach, my recommendation is that when you arrive, you don't put on anything right after getting off.......... Rather, even though it may be a bit more difficult, walk to the left side of the beach and your day will be exceptional.

Positive experience: Problems parking, if you don't go early... But it's a beautiful cove.
Positive experience: Good swimming, ️ Made of stones and with access on foot
Fantastic experience: Cove with easy access and parking above the cove. It has stones, hence its crystal-clear waters. A natural beauty that you can't miss if you're nearby.
Fantastic experience: The beach is spectacular, crystal clear waters, very clean beach. The only downside is that there is little parking, but other than that, it is spectacular in every way.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach that is worth visiting if you're in the area, perfect for snorkeling. The only downside I would mention is the parking; in the summer months it's crowded and it took us a while to find a spot. Other than that, everything was fine.
Fantastic experience: Beach with turquoise waters, easily accessible, has a beach bar.
Fantastic experience: Crystal clear waters in a paradise-like setting.
Positive experience: Very good water quality. The water is very clean, but the access is very uncomfortable due to the rocks.
Positive experience: The stones are very big, you can't even sit down, the same goes for the water... Lots of people, a considerable slope, I'll stay in Majalahonda.

Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in Granada, although it has small pebbles, which means that sand doesn't stick to you. Its clarity looks like something out of a movie. Highly recommended and with paved parking. However, be careful when crossing the national road, as there are often undercover officers and they will give you a nice ticket.
Fantastic experience: Overcrowded. Little parking. But the cove is beautiful. Good cliffs for jumping and its beach bar is perfect for eating and having a drink.
Positive experience: Very nice and beautiful but too many people.
Fantastic experience: We discovered paradise, icy waters of a stunning blue, rocks and caves invite you to adventure...
Positive experience: Large beach with mostly pebble-sized stones, the wave action was rather moderate, but a lot of seaweed/algae was washed ashore. Additionally, it is worth noting that the toilets are closed.
Fantastic experience: Magnificent beach between the rocks, parking then a 5-minute walk, it can be done in flip-flops but it's better not to be too loaded for the return. Crystal clear water with fish. Possibility to rent sunbeds and kayaks. A little piece of paradise.
Fantastic experience: For me, an absolutely wonderful beach. Crystal clear water, a great place for snorkeling. An unassuming location, nestled between mountains. You have to walk a bit from the parking lot.
Positive experience: It's one of my favorite beaches, crystal clear water for snorkeling but it's becoming too crowded...
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and spectacular for diving. Very good access for this type of beach.
Positive experience: Good beach with services nearby. The bad thing is if you get a windy day... I guess it's the same everywhere, but there are small coves that are not so bothersome...
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, good parking... crystal clear waters. Great for snorkeling.
Fantastic experience: A beautiful beach, it has a beach bar, you can rent kayaks, go diving,... when it's not high season you can bring your dog, the downside is the parking, in high season it's hard to find parking.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular, you have to walk to get there
Fantastic experience: Spectacular small beach, with pebbles, parking a short distance from the beach. Very clear water ideal for diving. Kayaking and paddle surfing excursions. Beach bar and sunbeds with umbrellas.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place. You can rent boats for a ride.
Fantastic experience: Good afternoon. It is a beautiful beach with crystal clear waters. Fantastic experience: A spectacular beach, the water is very clean and clear. There is a beach bar and kayak rental. You have to walk a bit to get down, because it is in a cove, but it is worth it. The parking is average.
Fantastic experience: Beach with very clean and clear waters
Fantastic experience: Beach with stones and coarse sand, just how I like it, limited parking.
Fantastic experience: Amazing beach, crystal clear waters, and not too cold. There is plenty of parking space above, and it's a 5-minute walk down. Plus, there's a beach bar right on the beach. We went on a weekday and there were people, but no crowds.
Fantastic experience: A very nice cove with very clean water and spectacular views
Fantastic experience: There are two parking lots, one higher up on a curve by the sea and the other earlier on the opposite side. The latter is the access one, as you have to go under the road through a tunnel on foot. There is a man watching the parking lot, there is no obligation to give him anything, it's up to each person. Dogs are not allowed from June 15 to September 15. During peak season, it fills up quickly, so it's advisable to arrive early.
Fantastic experience: It is a beautiful, clean beach where you have to bring everything you need to be comfortable, including your food since they don't sell anything there.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular. Limited parking next to the road. You descend for about 5 minutes down a slope. There is a beach bar. If you want to use the bathroom, you pay €1 or consume something there. There are trash bins. You can rent kayaks. Beautiful spot.
Fantastic experience: One of the prettiest coves, in my opinion, in Andalucía. You don't have to walk miles, there's nearby parking, the water is great for snorkeling, and the beach bar has very good prices. It's basic but ideal for a sandwich or rice (hospitality 10). If I were you, I wouldn't think twice ☺️
Positive experience: I don't give it 5 stars because it has lost the charm of being a virgin beach. It is still a mini paradise to spend a wonderful day, but there is increasingly more overcrowding, and that makes both parking and tranquility difficult.
Fantastic experience: Super small cove
Fantastic experience: I love it
Positive experience: Beautiful view from a dirty parking lot.
Fantastic experience: Very nice quiet beach
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach with crystal clear water, very close to Granada, an ideal place to have a good time.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach, clean water, it's made of stones, not sand, tends to be very crowded, there is a small free parking, you have to walk down from the road.
Fantastic experience: The beach is a wonder, I recommend wearing beach shoes. You have to walk about 10 minutes from where you leave the car, but it's manageable. There is a beach bar and a kayak rental company. The water is freezing, if you like snorkeling, wear a wetsuit.
Fantastic experience: You have to go super early because it's a small cove, but it's wonderful with blue waters
Fantastic experience: Beautiful, water crystal clear, a bit tricky steep road from the parking lot. Definitely worth visiting.
Fantastic experience: Natural
Fantastic experience: It's no longer a virgin beach. It has lost its charm. A lot of people, children, and the guy with the saw fixing a container.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful. But if you have sensitive feet, wear sea shoes or similar for walking and for getting into the sea. You have to walk down about 300 meters.
Fantastic experience: Very quiet beach with sand. To park, you have to leave the car up about 300 meters from the beach. Ideal for spending a relaxing day with very nice views.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place
Positive experience: Beautiful little pebble beach, very quiet. Parking is on the opposite side of the road, you go down a dirt path, pass through a tunnel under the road, and come out on the beach. About a 5-minute walk.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely beautiful. Quiet and secluded enough that I was never with more than 20 other people, most of the time only one or two more. I saw dolphins swimming off the shore a bit, and was able to relax and read my book quietly by the beautiful seaside.
Negative experience: An area that could be a paradise but is filled with graffiti on the surrounding walls and the environment is very poorly maintained.
Positive experience: Spectacular cove, the access is on foot but it is worth it.
Fantastic experience: Called on a pleasant day in February. No facilities as such, but a beautiful stony cove with lovely clear water. Well worth a visit.
Fantastic experience: ❤️
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. As often happens in Spain, the rules are not always respected. There is a ban on animals. If you bring them... at least keep them on a leash.
Positive experience: Beautiful place ...
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful place, I couldn't swim, I was there in November. I think it won't be accessible during the season. The parking is very small.
Positive experience: An isolated beach away from large constructions that allows you to recharge.
Positive experience: In my opinion, one of the best beaches in the area. The only problems are the parking, which is limited due to the area it's in, and that there's only one beach bar, which I would say doesn't serve food.
Fantastic experience: Fairy-tale beach..
Positive experience: Spectacular beach, to access it you have to go down behind the road and pass through a tunnel that leads to the beach. The beach is made of pebbles, not sand. The water is crystal clear and snorkeling is great because there are no waves and there are rocks where you can see fish and you might even find some octopus. The beach bar was not there when we went, I don't know if it was because of the time of year or because they have removed it permanently. There is nothing to drink right there.
Fantastic experience: Incredible rocky cove for its marine life and comfort. If you like tranquility, it's better off-season; in summer there are a lot of people. Little parking space.
Fantastic experience: Beach paradise
