Pals Beach
Information
Platja de Pals is a beautiful and extensive beach known for its clean and clear waters. Visitors have described it as a paradisiacal location with a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for families. The beach is well-maintained with daily cleaning and facilities such as showers, recycling bins, and beach bars offering a variety of refreshments.
One of the highlights is its accessibility, with ample parking available (albeit at a cost) and easy walking paths. The beach is suitable for swimming, although some users have noted that the sand can be coarse and may contain small stones, which could be uncomfortable for young children.
While the beach can get busy during peak times, many appreciate the space that allows for social distancing. Additionally, there are designated nudist areas in the vicinity. However, some users have pointed out the lack of public restrooms as a drawback.
In summary, Platja de Pals offers a stunning coastal experience with plenty of natural beauty and recreational opportunities, making it a recommended destination for those visiting the region.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful super long sandy beach. You can always find a nice spot here, and if you move away from the pavilions, there is always enough space around you. At many places it's nudist.
Fantastic experience: Platja Llarga or Platja Gran de Pals is bordered to the north by Platja del Grau and to the south by Platja del Racó (Begur), other beaches that can be accessed on foot. It is a beach with a large expanse of sand both lengthwise and widthwise to the sea, easy access with an affordable daily rate blue zone parking. The entire blue zone area is for parking, not for camping; there is a designated camping area at the roundabout between Golf and Torre Mora streets. Currently, this beach is very well maintained, with daily cleaning, a lifeguard, indicative flag of permission, incident, or prohibition to swim, with a wooden boardwalk, coarse sand, and it is deep just a few meters into the sea. There are showers, recycling containers, various beach bars with terraces open from mid-morning until midnight, and in summer several rental companies for materials or facilities for water and nautical fun for children, youth, and adults are set up. It is not a designated nudist beach, but the area closest to Platja del Grau (where the Radio Liberty antennas used to be) has always been known for its permissiveness. Dogs are not allowed during the “tourist” period from Easter to the end of October under municipal regulation with economic sanctions.
Fantastic experience: Super spacious, it has a beach bar and plenty of areas to park in the blue zone.
Positive experience: Playa súper tranquila y familiar.

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach, large and clean. Coarse sand, clear water ideal for swimming.
Positive experience: Beautiful sandy beach
Positive experience: Beautiful beach. However, it's not real sand but more of a beach filled with a lot of pebbles. Those pebbles can hurt your feet a lot, so water shoes are definitely recommended. If you're with children, don't even try to build sandcastles because that's not possible with this type of sand. Also, the sand slopes quite steeply down to the sea, so you can be chest-deep in the water after just 3 meters. This can be quite dangerous for small children who can't swim yet, as it also brings high waves.
