La Salvé Beach in Laredo

Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach with a huge rock in the background, surrounded by the sea, crystal clear waters and fine white sand, with access for vehicles and paths for walking.

Fantastic experience: In October, the famous Raid de Laredo takes place, featuring a large number of horses, especially Arab and Anglo-Arab breeds. Very well organized and highly recommended. Note, it takes place with the maximum coefficient of autumn tides.

Positive experience: Wide and spacious beach. It never gets crowded, but if you go by car you may have a lot of trouble parking. The showers are very good and the beach is clean, although the water from the Cantabrian Sea is not for those who are sensitive to cold.

Positive experience: It has been a lovely experience to have visited this beach, the coast is quite large, ideal for walking along its shore, the beach is shallow for many meters from the shore, the waves are gentle and the water is not clear, there are areas with a lot of seaweed but considering it is very spacious there is still plenty of room for enjoyment, highly recommended for the whole family. I will definitely come back!

The bad thing is the allergy that has developed towards taking dogs; instead of addressing the bad behavior of the owners, they just impose bans... Aside from the coexistence and the understanding that a dog, when educated, is better company than many rude humans, and a little g...os, well, quite g...os. Another thing to control is the behavior of cyclists on the promenade, where younger ages usually coincide... Their traffic and circulation awareness is radically wrong, high speed, erratic, dangerous for elderly people, and let's not mention that their response to calls for attention is completely contrary to consideration... Just with the violations of bicycle riding, they could keep the town hall busy for a year...

Positive experience: Someone should remind the owner of this dog that the schedule for bringing dogs to the beach is from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Negative experience: Great beach except that it is very windy and because of the disrespectful dog owners who do not follow the rules. During swimming season, it is a dog-friendly beach from 8:30 PM to 9 AM. But during the day, you see quite a few people with unleashed dogs and sometimes out of control, especially as you get closer to the point.

Positive experience: Beach located in Laredo, it starts near the fishermen's neighborhood and ends at the Salvé sandbar, facing the bay of Santoña. It is a very frequented beach in the summer and has a length of almost 5 km, perfect for taking a walk either along the beach itself or on the cobblestone promenade that surrounds it.

Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beaches in the entire CANTABRIC. In addition, it is very spacious, so you can enjoy it calmly and stroll along the shore at your leisure. The bathing here is a true pleasure and without the dangers of other beaches. The only dangerous part is the tip, better known as 'EL PUNTAL DE LAREDO'. There, the currents could give you a scare.

Positive experience: The beach is shell-shaped and has a length of over 4 km, of which we visited part. The rear limit of the beach (its high area) is characterized by having one of the largest dune fields in Cantabria. The beach has the necessary services and facilities. When we visited, the occupancy level was high, and we took the opportunity to have a swim.

Positive experience: Laredo! Our 'pejina' villa :-). An afternoon with my great special girl..... Beautiful afternoon visiting this seaside village. We were able to stroll along the entire promenade, visit the Convent of San Francisco (we coincided with the evening prayer with a community of Trinitarian nuns that live there). Then we took a walk through the Old Town of Laredo, seeing from the outside the transit house of King Charles V, from the 15th century, and as a grand finale, we took a huge walk along the beach of 'La Salvé'. The day was great, sunny, and the best part of all, the company I enjoyed it with ........ :-)) A big hug.... and always visiting this village that never disappoints.

Positive experience: It is a spacious, clean, and beautiful beach. We went during a low tourism period, so it was quieter, but in summer, the attendance will surely increase. There are changing cabins, but they are paid.

Positive experience: We took a stroll in the afternoon watching the catch-and-release fishing championship, it rained towards the end of the afternoon, it was nice because there was no wind, the worst part was the seaweed and that it was hard to walk on the sand, but it was very interesting to watch the championship.

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach. Quite curious and rare because there is an urban part near the port and another much wilder and preserved. All this with a promenade that runs along the whole length. At the end (the point), a small ferry makes round trips to Santoña. Perfect for changing atmosphere and taking a boat trip. Very reasonable prices, by the way.

Positive experience: We rode our bikes there. This apparently isn't common, as there are no bike racks available. We had to tie the bikes to some lamp post. Additionally, there are no toilets at this beach. Everyone seems to go to the bathroom in the sea. And if you forgot to bring your drink, tough luck, there is no beach bar either.

Fantastic experience: Very nice sandy beach. Dogs are not allowed. According to the locals, you can bring your dog to the beach after 8 PM.

I have known many, many beaches in my life; there are smaller, prettier ones, etc., but none combine so many good things... like the Salvé beach of Laredo!!!... Infinite Cantabria! Fantastic beach.

Fantastic experience: One of the longest beaches in Cantabria, from June to September 30 with lifeguards. Beach volleyball area, swings area, shower area, dunes. Without a doubt, one of the best beaches in Cantabria. Dogs are allowed on a leash from September, during the summer season from 8 PM to 8 AM. A beautiful promenade borders the beach.

Fantastic experience: Impressive sand beach in both directions wide and large. Breathtaking Atlantic sky, I really recommend to lay on your towel and contemplate how the North wind drags the giantic clouds. In the other side of the bay you can see Santoña emerging shyly between the waters.
