Fantastic experience: It's a spacious beach, where there will always be room even if there are many people... There usually aren't any waves... The downside... Lots of seagulls, especially at the end of the afternoon...

Fantastic experience: Perfect for families with little ones, no waves and the slope is gentle. Additionally, unlike in France, there is water to rinse off! Even incredible for me, a homeless person, there are very nice and clean showers under the lifeguard station, contribution €1 and lockers for rent €3 to store non-essential belongings. They've got it all figured out!

There are showers in the sand, but outside the wooden walkway. The beach has showers and public restrooms, an excellent service from the Red Cross, children’s attractions, and paid parking. You can get there by public bus.

Fantastic experience: A beach of about 700m with a large parking lot, the last beach of the Cantabrian Sea and probably one of the beaches with the calmest waters. Highly recommended for swimming or for beginners in open water swimming. Be careful, it gets dark quickly as it is on the slopes of Jaizkibel, the views towards Iparralde are incredible!

Negative experience: A girl didn't let us into the parking lot because she says my van exceeds 5 meters when I've always entered and no one has said anything to me since it occupies a spot. It's not such a big van, moreover, it's for travelers, not a camper. On top of that, it's paid, and they don't let you in. If you have camper vans, forget about getting in. Other than that, it was great.

Positive experience: Beautiful beach with fine sand. I have been told that the water is cold even in winter and that it gets too crowded. But it's lovely.

Fantastic experience: This is a beautiful, clean beach. On Halloween 2023 the weather here is gorgeous, and the beach is nearly empty. This beach is very different from its French neighbor in Hendaye. It is very gentle making it a perfect beach for young kids and older folks. It's great for swimming. The beach is large enough to hold crowds during the summer; note that there are several highrise apartment buildings right across the street.
