Fantastic experience: Federica (Colette) is French and 95 years old, she is a true ambassador of our beach, she has been coming for many years and says she feels at home, with the care and dedication given to her, especially Alejandro and Mariela, who she has missed a lot this year, she says it gives her security and a lot of peace. I always enjoy the environment and harmony here, the location, the friendly and attentive staff, as well as the service they offer, which is excellent! Congratulations!!!❤️

Negative experience: 9 bucks for a beach chair and another 9 for the umbrella. In Andalusia, the umbrella comes with the chairs, not separately! Long live Andalusia!!!!! And for anyone who says, 'Well, go to Andalusia!' I reply that yes, that is where the best place is!!!

Negative experience: Let's see... I already knew the dog beach of Pinedo and it's nice. But it's hot and I went to 'Mar y sombra' that is at the dog beach. 3€ for a can of beer seems excessive to me... but well... it's August and you have to make it profitable...

Fantastic experience: The price is very good considering that you can stay almost all day with the sunbed and umbrella. I also tried the strawberry slushie, it costs €4 and it's delicious.

Negative experience: If I could give a zero, I would. Surely this opinion is worthless, but it makes me feel more at ease. The manners of the staff leave much to be desired; they are probably not happy with the work they've been given and think that treating people badly makes them feel better. The cleanliness of the sun loungers is terrible, and when someone plays music really loudly that annoys everyone, depending on who they are, they don't even say anything to them. Yesterday, I witnessed an elderly couple being asked to leave the area under the umbrellas at 6:30 PM, and two minutes later, a couple sat down with a rather rude attitude and played Arab music at an extremely high volume, and they didn't even look at them. Pathetic, with staff like that they should inspect their behavior, correct them, and educate them.

Negative experience: Disgusting beach, the sea is even worse. We went to Lido Mar and Somera in front of the restaurant. It's useless to say that we didn't even have time for a swim (we were there half a day) and they stole a single backpack from us. The service and staff just shrugged, saying that these things happen and didn't help us with the search. Not recommended is putting it mildly... if you have to go to the beach, put a video on YouTube while you are in the bathtub.

Negative experience: Rude staff, at times very impolite. Both the employees and the owners. I strongly advise against it. You should be ashamed of how you treat people who, by the way, pay for services. Change jobs!

Fantastic experience: A superb beach, with a small shop to buy drinks, juice, etc. Maty and Ana gave us sunbeds close to the sea with an umbrella. Service rated 10!!!!

Negative experience: I don't think I'm the only one who thinks this, but charging 9 euros for the umbrella and around 8 euros for the sunbed seems excessive to me... I went there because there are no beach bars in Patacona. In total, about 18 euros... luckily I didn't pay them, but what you do seems very wrong.

Negative experience: Very dirty beach, they don't care about cleaning and giving a good impression and image. The staff was very rude and informal, they are not available to help you. Honestly, it was a terrible day, a horrible and awful experience.

Fantastic experience: Today I went to spend the day at the beach with my friends and I rented a hammock. The guy who helped me is named Ignacio, a blonde guy with blue eyes, very attentive. We were delighted with him. I wish there were more people like him working in public service.

Negative experience: Very dirty beach, they never rake the sand. There are cigarette butts, drink caps, straws, etc. The locals start picking up the loungers and their mattresses at 5:30 PM when closing time is at 7 PM, making it uncomfortable for the customers. I went to the sea and when I came back I couldn't find my loungers, they had been piled up for storage. It's a lack of respect. But since the customer must suffer in this only concessionaire that has the entire beach, there is no option.

Fantastic experience: I leave happy and satisfied from my vacation in Valencia thanks to Manuel from beach bar 3, who provided me with spectacular service during the days I was here. Very attentive and respectful. Thank you, Manuel!!!

Fantastic experience: Today my husband and I were at spot 9 and we rented some loungers. A attentive and very kind blonde guy named Ignacio helped us. We will return.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday afternoon I was at the beach with my wife. My wife is a sick person. We got a hammock. Ignacio (the guy from the hammock rental) was very attentive to us. We will return very soon.

Fantastic experience: For the second consecutive year, we return to beach bar number 2 where Gabi and Romina attend to us with excellent service, a friendly approach, and great care in pampering the customer, with the coldest beers in the area. Kindness and joy in the service at all times. We will return without a doubt. Thank you guys from the cool shirt group.

Negative experience: I would give it zero stars but unfortunately, it doesn’t allow me. Honestly, it’s the worst place in Valencia, I wouldn’t recommend it even to dogs. The beach is dirty, the umbrella is of poor quality, and the staff is the missing ingredient to turn your day into a nightmare. I asked the guys working there for help because I lost my documents, and instead of helping me, they yelled at me and even threatened to hit me and my boyfriend for 'bothering' them. Honestly, the worst management for the chiringo n.2, I recommend that the bosses pay attention to the people they hire.

Negative experience: Well, it's very bad to take advantage of the already started season. Raising the price of sun loungers from €8 to €9... It has been noticeable that the beach bars of Patacona are not set up. You Mar and Sombra raise it to £9 in a few days. Without having WC services and no drinking water either. The people who work there are very friendly. But you, Mar and Sombra company...00000

Fantastic experience: The location is amazing, beautiful beach with enough sunbeds and umbrellas. Lucas (in charge of the sunbeds and umbrellas) has been a great guy during our visits, always welcoming and helpful! And there is a small stand to get a good selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), ice creams, and snacks. Perfect location for a nice day at the beach!

Negative experience: First day of vacation and they ruined it for me. We went to the beach at 8 in the morning and I placed my towel 7 meters in front of their beach bar. The patrol was passing between my towel and this stand, and everything was fine until 10 in the morning when they opened and started throwing me out. They began to set up their extending sunbeds all around, saying it’s private space. They placed them right on top of my towel and then dragged them up. In a very rude way, they kicked me out of the beach. What a shameful service and attitude towards tourists who then have to buy their services out of obligation because they have occupied the public beaches. I have a question - do they have the right to extend this space where they propose their service or do they charge extra for these sunbeds? And if so, shouldn’t they put up signs or seal 'their private space'? I want to remind that in Spain all beaches are public!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful service. The prices are clearly posted, so it's not like the beaches in some places where they size you up to see how much you'll pay. The chairs are padded and very comfortable, the umbrella did a great job at providing shade. The bar and chair workers were very friendly. My only criticism is that person coming around offering massages. She just walks up to you, stands over top of you, and says 'mensaje/massage' (in both English and Spanish), and then walks off. She'll then come back every hour or so and do it again. It's a bit bothersome.

Negative experience: I don't give it a zero because I can't. We arrived at 11:00 at booth 9 and the employees were not relieved at any time of the day until it closed at 20:00 in the evening. They had no break time, they ate inside the beach bar, and we also saw them take care of their personal needs there since there are no bathrooms nearby. The sunbeds and the umbrella were 9 euros each, which seems like an outrage to me since we spoke with other customers who told us that last year everything was 7 euros. They just want to make money and provide a terrible service. I do not recommend it and I don't understand how it is possible to work under such poor working conditions.

Negative experience: Robbery in the rental of sun loungers and umbrellas at Malvarrosa, Valencia. Last year, 2023, €7 per unit; on June 21, 2024, €8; and as they thought it was too little, on June 22, 2024, €9, almost 30% more than last year.

Fantastic experience: This was the third year in Valencia, and every year we stay at Mar y Sombra. This year we stayed for two weeks at number 6, and the Argentine guy Lucas helped us very well. He is a very nice guy who speaks many languages. If you go to Valencia, you need to go to the sands and to number 6; it is a very fun place.

Fantastic experience: What a team! Romi at the bar and Assif on the chairs are superstars. Everyone on the team at Chiringuito No. 2 on Malvarosa Beach has been fantastic. Honest drinks, high quality equipment and beautiful smiles to make your Valencia beach day a joy.

Negative experience: Run away, the staff has no education, they speak to you in a rude manner. Reading the other reviews that gave one star, I can see that I am not the only one who has been spoken to in a rude way. I don't understand how that person continues to work for that company as they are not fit to serve customers, or else they should be given some customer service training and taught what respect and courtesy mean. And watch out for the prices, they show you individual prices, sunshade 9 euros, sunbed 9 euros, but they force you to pay a minimum of 27 euros, requiring you to hire 2 sunbeds and 1 sunshade, which is not indicated anywhere... I do not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: We went to Kiosk 2 where Romi provided excellent service, the beers were always cold and the cocktails were delicious, we will definitely return!!!

Negative experience: Incredible how rude the two who work here with the umbrellas are. A Moroccan man was insulting me; I can't even say the words he used here. Why don't they publish my review? You pay, and they come to take your sunbeds away at 6:00 PM. They have the sunbed hours until 7:00 PM, and they cross you out with a pen. They speak to you badly in a violent and aggressive manner to make you leave. Never in my life has anyone talked to me like that in any place. I will file a complaint with the Valencia community against this company. I'll leave you a couple of photos as proof.

Negative experience: Ideally this service is great. Prices are displayed and decent quality beach chairs. The big problem is service. Every single server I spoke to was rude or unwilling to do the bare minimum. For example I ordered a bottle of wine, the server said he couldn’t let me take the bottle to my spot at the beach. So I asked if I could keep coming back to refill my glass. He got really upset and kept pushing me to buy multiple glasses of wine instead of the bottle (that I paid for). So why even sell bottles if that is such an imposition to the servers??? By the way today there is like 20% occupancy. So I assume it’s not because he was extremely busy.

Fantastic experience: They are a great human team, both the management and the colleagues. I am very sad to have had to leave working there due to my own decision. I take a piece of them with me. If you go there, they will surely take care of you with pleasure and do a titanic job. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Highlight the attitude and treatment of Simón and the manager, as we had a problem (a towel was stolen from us) and they treated us wonderfully. The area with the sunbeds and umbrellas was very good, comfortable, and quiet.

Negative experience: Very poor service. :(( They literally ripped us off. For one hour use of 2 sun beds and shade 21 euros, no matter how long you are staying. That’s not how you treat your customers. Never come back!

Negative experience: May y Tierra is a company that manages the chiringuitos and umbrellas at the Valencia beaches. This company is making money charging for shades at the Malvarosa beach, so it charges for the umbrella (kiosk), seats and bed, however the maintenance of the beach around its operational area is just terrible, there you can find hundreds (not exaggerating) of cigarette butts left by tourists after they spent the day at the beach. The guy(s) administering the umbrellas are only interested to charge, nothing else, too lazy to clean the area afterwards, it is a shame, there is no presence of management to oversee and audit their job. The beach is contaminated with cigarette butts. Shame Mar y Tierra, it should not happen at any beach, not in Valencia. I hope the Generalitat takes some action against this situation

Positive experience: Only if you like crowded beaches.

Negative experience: Poor customer service, rude stuff at Hut no 14. Sunbeds tired, dirty and in poor technical condition. Whilst we were at nearby restaurant for lunch drizzly rain started. Staff collected sunbeds, threw towels on the wet beach (instead of collecting/storing them temporarily) and left them for us to collect. Not impressed.

Negative experience: SIMPLY SHAME !!!! At the lido nr. 16, my family and I rented an umbrella and two deck chairs for € 18. My son is lying in the sun and fell asleep and badly woke him up the service clerk who demanded 6 € for the umbrella, after the shadow of the neighboring umbrella had partially covered him ... maybe he doesn't know that the earth revolves around the sun and the shadows move. I threw € 10 in his hand and told him that his behavior was scandalous, he turned his back and walked away.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I went to the beaches Malvarosa and El Saler in Valencia this summer enjoying services provided by Mar y Sombra. We were particularly impressed with a guy named Alfonso on El Saler beach with whom we exchanged some very pleasant communication while waiting for our food and beverage. It was like we knew each other for years. Thank you Alfonso for a perfect beach bar services !!!

Fantastic experience: what a fantastic service from Ali. he was a very sweet, thoughtful man. all beach beds were full, but after 5 minutes he was able to offer us 4 beach beds. awesome!! Try it !!
