Calahonda Beach

Fantastic experience: A very beautiful, clean beach with easy access. There are different parking options and you can eat wonderfully in any bar in the area. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: It is a vast beach of sand and pebbles, clean and well-kept overall, with easy and clear access from the sidewalk or promenade to the beach, free parking available throughout the area, it has children's areas and various beach bars. The particularity of these beaches in Granada is the step that usually exists in the water, where you can go from having water up to your knees to practically your shoulders after a step. The facilities are good (showers, bins, and restrooms) but are scarce, and there are shaded areas for people with reduced mobility along the beach. Unfortunately, as of September 1st, many of those services such as bins, restrooms, lifeguards, etc. are mostly closed or removed.

Fantastic experience: Very nice pebble beach with clean water. The area has full infrastructure and a beach bar. Unfortunately, we were a bit too close and it smelled of fried fish.. The parking lot was occupied by a funfair, so we had to look for a spot further down the street.

Fantastic experience: Crystal clear water, a lot of depth just a few meters from the shore. Plenty of parking and generally a quiet beach for vacationers.

Positive experience: Playa de piedras, incluso dentro del agua, con un gran escalón difícil de subir cuando quieres salir porque se hunden los pies. Enseguida cubre.

Positive experience: Muy buena playa para pasar la tarde. Tiene socorrista, duchas habilitadas pero no tiene baños públicos. A no ser que estés en Torre Doblada. A veces puedes tener la mala suerte d encontrarte medusas, pero en general su agua es muy temperada y refrescante. En resumen, playa limpia, que no acepta perros ni acampar, pero con buenos estacionamientos a la orilla de playa.

Negative experience: Mal cuidada, muchos perros defecando, no se respeta el mínimo de prohibiciones.

Positive experience: De fácil acceso, el agua super clara y bonita, pero muy muy fría para ser 22/07/25 y muchas piedras, muy llena para ser un martes y muchos bichos que picaban y no dejaban estar a gusto tomando el sol, porque al agua muy gente se metió de lo fría, es bonita pero no para volver

Fantastic experience: It's the beach we usually go to in summer since I live in Granada, that is, for 12 years. I'm not too convinced because it doesn't have sand, you can't walk much in the water because there's a very high step, and lately, there are too many jellyfish, but I like the place and it's nice to be there.

Fantastic experience: Stone beach. Crystal clear water. There is a tremendous step, 2 steps and it covers you.. There is an open area next to the beach where you can park your car.

Fantastic experience: A mainly shingle beach but nice all the same. Quite blustery when we visited and the sea was quite rough! There's a beach bar and amenities.

Positive experience: It's a family beach, with some beach bars. The beach is made of small pebbles but the water looks like a clean and calm swimming pool, it's ideal for swimming. However, the water was a bit chilly.

Positive experience: Beautiful beach, the water temperature is great. Be careful with the lifeguards; one of them is looking in the opposite direction from where the water is. It seems that what happens on Facebook and TikTok is more important than the swimmers. I seriously doubt this lifeguard could save anyone.

Positive experience: Buena playa adaptada para personas con movilidad reducida, fácil acceso y puesto de socorristas que ayuda y facilita el baño con muletas y sillas específicas de baño. Horario para baños con silla anfibia de 12 a 14h y de 17 a 20h.

Fantastic experience: The crystal-clear water, definitely one of the best beaches

Fantastic experience: Calahonda beach has a little corner full of magic, its small pier, a beautiful place I like to go when I can. In summer, that little corner gets crowded with tourists and vacationers, but there are other times of the year when it can be visited, for example, September or the spring months and early summer. I recommend it to disconnect and relax, and to take a good swim in the sea. Its waters are clean.

Fantastic experience: Playa a 12 kilómetros de Motril muy amplia de grava, muy cómoda de acceso y con un pequeño parking que además cuenta con entradas con duchas, alquiler de hamacas y un chiringuito muy amplio y de carácter familiar. Si te gustan los deportes acuáticos cuenta con alquiler de motos acuáticas y planchas de padelsurf. Al final de la playa hay una zona de barquitos y un par de bares bastante agradables. Playa recomendable de aguas frescas y cristalinas.

Fantastic experience: Playa de chinos y piedras, necesario escarpines. Unas cuantas medusas pero nada del otro mundo se ven desde arriba. Agua cristalina y muy fresquita perfecta para bucear y hacer snorkel. Hay un chiringuito al lado y sitios para aparcar. Creo que también hay baños públicos al lado del puesto de socorrismo. Una playa muy bonita

Positive experience: The hotel 'El Ancla' is located in Calahonda (Granada). It is a nearly family-run hotel, which does not contradict that it is comfortable. It has three stars. It is not a very large hotel. It has some rooms with sea views and a large terrace. It is cheap compared to others of its category. You can practice diving on its beach, there are several shops for this and instructors who teach you. The beach is less than 100 meters away, and it consists of pebbles. The hotel has several dining rooms and its menu is quite good and not expensive. Additionally, it has a bar where if you have three beers, you get to eat with the abundant tapas. A highly recommended hotel.

Fantastic experience: Agua cristalina, cuenta con todos los servicios, incluyendo escuela de buceo y todas las banderas que se pueden otorgar, un auténtico lujo. Personalmente se la recomiendo a todo el mundo
