Fonda Beach
Information
Platja Fonda is a quaint and beautiful cove, well-known for its crystal-clear azure waters and a tranquil atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the unique charm of its pebble beach which offers a different experience compared to sandy shores.
However, some guests have noted a few drawbacks, such as the limited parking space that fills up quickly, especially during peak hours. The beach can also be rocky and steep to access, making it challenging for some individuals. Additionally, while the area is generally clean, there were occasional concerns regarding water clarity due to boat traffic.
Overall, Platja Fonda remains a must-visit destination, especially for those looking for a natural beach experience with great opportunities for snorkeling and relaxation.

Positive experience: Beaches with good views but difficult access, coarse sand and stones
Negative experience: Tagué beach, paid parking is way too small and always full by morning.
Fantastic experience: I loved this cove, with more width than others, and with beautiful sea colors, as you can see in the photos. There is a paid parking nearby, costing 3 euros, then you walk and go down some stairs. Wear shoes for the sea because it has pebbles.
Fantastic experience: A great way to the beach, beautiful
Fantastic experience: Beautiful cove with pebbles and cold water. A bit crowded after 11 AM. Parking is €3 per day, but you need to arrive before 10 AM to find a spot. Definitely worth a visit.

Negative experience: At the entrance, there is a sign indicating that dogs must be on a leash. 4 dogs and all off-leash. Little respect from the owners.

Fantastic experience: It is a beautiful beach, one of the last ones very natural, with beautiful azure waters (really clean, you can dive and see fishes easily). The beach itself is a little rocky and its hard to find a spot in the shade, so it can be very hot in the midday, you'll definitely need a parasol. There is nothing on the beach (no restaurant, no cafe, no point for rentals, no red cross, etc). It is located at 3.5 km from the centre of Begur (around 7 min by car) and it has a parking (3 euros / day) quite busy if you don't go early in the morning, but is coordinated by a parking keeper and you won't wait more than 10 min to find a place. You'll have some steps to walk to get to the beach, but the view is breathtaking. Apparently it was an old harbour, from which you can still see a wall which serves now as point of jumping for the youngest.

Positive experience: Very clean and clear water, beach with shade.
Negative experience: Tagué beach, paid parking is way too small and always full by morning.
Fantastic experience: Wild will always be the best beach on the Costa Brava for me. The turquoise waters are always so clean, it is truly worth it.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful cove with pebbles and cold water. A bit crowded after 11 AM. Parking is €3 per day, but you need to arrive before 10 AM to find a spot. Definitely worth a visit.
Negative experience: What a drop and climb! Yes, the water is clean, like on the entire Costa Brava, but it is a decaying place and at risk of landslides all over the cove. Very stony and with mosquitoes. There are many better ones.
