Cañas Beach
Information
Playa de las Cañas is a beautiful and peaceful beach located in the Elviria area of Marbella, approximately 8 km from the city center. This beach is appreciated for its tranquil atmosphere and clean waters, making it a nice spot to enjoy the sun and relax. Visitors often highlight the ease of access with wooden pathways leading through the dunes, allowing for minimal environmental impact.
However, there are also some downsides. The beach has a narrow entrance filled with rocks, which can make it unsuitable for children and uncomfortable for swimming unless you wear special shoes. Additionally, some guests have reported issues with litter and maintaining the cleanliness of the surroundings, as well as occasional disturbances from local wildlife, such as a group of wild boars. The beach is also known for having limited amenities, with outdated sunbeds and few food options nearby.
Overall, Playa de las Cañas offers a unique blend of natural beauty and serene atmosphere, though visitors should be aware of its limitations.

Fantastic experience: Wild beach, great place for naturists, lots of dunes where you can spread out with a towel. It's best to go by bus because the parking is very tight. Watch out for the wild boars that roam in the bushes.
Positive experience: The beach is nice, there are umbrellas by the bar (€8.5/day), but the shower is not working. The entry into the water is full of stones and shallow, so we were scraped to the blood in no time. However, just move a few meters to the left where there is sand and stones at a greater depth. The positive is that there are few people and free parking is okay.
Positive experience: Beautiful place with parking by the beach
Fantastic experience: Una playa pequeña y familiar.

Fantastic experience: I take my dog there to swim very early in the morning when there are no other people around, good sandy beach

Positive experience: Buena playa, agradable.

Fantastic experience: Wild beach, great place for naturists, lots of dunes where you can spread out with a towel. It's best to go by bus because the parking is very tight. Watch out for the wild boars that roam in the bushes.
Negative experience: Apparently, it's a nice beach, as there aren't many people (considering we visited Marbella during peak season). It's a beach with quite uncomfortable rocks to get into the sea; if you don't have water shoes, it's a bit complicated. Moreover, you have to go quite far for it to cover a little. All of this is irrelevant compared to the scare we had at this beach with a GROUP OF WILD BOARS (about 7) that came to our towel, broke our shoes, cigarettes, and other things we had on the towel. They rushed down quickly, and when we realized it, they were right over us. Especially because of the scare, I think it's something very important that people visiting this beach should know, because it can be really dangerous.
Positive experience: The beach is pretty narrow, there isn't much space and there are a lot of rocks at the entrance to the sea, so it's not really suitable for kids.
Positive experience: The beach is nice, there are umbrellas by the bar (€8.5/day), but the shower is not working. The entry into the water is full of stones and shallow, so we were scraped to the blood in no time. However, just move a few meters to the left where there is sand and stones at a greater depth. Fantastic experience: Simply beautiful beach
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful hiking trail, many kilometers right by the beach over a great boardwalk.
