Positive experience: Very nice place, although the beach is small. In September when I was there, there were few people, so it is very pleasant and quiet.

Fantastic experience: A beach that stands out for its tranquility, calm and crystal clear water, you can stand a few 10 or 15 meters from the shore. Ideal for sports, games, and for children. In summer it gets a bit crowded and for such a small cove, I don't like that they fill it with services, as it breaks the natural beauty. Very nice for snorkeling around the rocks.

Negative experience: Cleanliness leaves something to be desired, a lot of people, few showers, people claiming half of the beach with tents, cigarette butts everywhere, unofficial vendors, dirty water in some places

Negative experience: Negligence, illegal constructions, very ugly. The beach bar produces a lot of smoke and takes up a large part of the beach.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful beach. The beach bar is quite decent and not very expensive. My wife, my daughters, and I ate for €76.

Negative experience: Very crowded beach full of people, who also have very little education because they urinate and defecate in the water. Not recommended if you want to spend a good day with family.

Fantastic experience: Hidden beach in Velilla, with palm trees, black sand, and crystal clear water. All this gives it a special touch. It's easy to park.

Positive experience: Easy access, although it is a blue zone there is parking and it is not expensive, showers, toilets, and clean water without a step, better for children as it does not cover far out.

Positive experience: It's a small but very cozy beach, there is nothing that prohibits dogs from entering, in fact, there are always people with their pets. I always take mine and I've never had any problem, although it is increasingly crowded.

Positive experience: A beautiful beach in itself. Two years ago, the showers were still on. Now in October 2023, the beach is already 'winterized' and somehow this was done really carelessly. The new bar could have been a bit nicer as well. Otherwise, it is great for families, the water doesn't get too steep and the sand is perfect for building castles, etc.

Positive experience: The only beach (cove) in Almuñécar that has (black) sand, and it doesn't have the famous step when entering that makes you lose your footing. Restaurant, bar, beach bar, and nearby hotel. It has showers. The surrounding area is already very urbanized. Pleasant.

Negative experience: The beach is very beautiful, but the water was dirty and the sand had cigarette butts and plastic waste☹️. When I left there, my legs were full of bites, they seem to be from fleas.

Fantastic experience: Impressive is an understatement! The water is of high quality and as clear as a pool. Due to its access, there aren't many people; there is a trail through the mountain for walking, running, or enjoying the views from above. It connects with other coves well via trails or rocks. A magnificent place for snorkeling.

Positive experience: nice small beach used by the locals. Friendly beach and nice not to have bars and music to make this a great family beach to relax by. Water was super clear and warm when we went, on a windy day the waves are great fun

Positive experience: Nice little bay with quite a few mature palm trees on a rocky shoreline. Mostly sandy, but the sand is dirty and grey with the odd stone. A small amount of parking on the roundabout just above the beach. Probably mostly used by the people owning or renting the numerous apartments surrounding the bay. One restaurant just at the entrance to the beach.

Positive experience: Absolutely stunning beach, dark soft sand, backdrop of tropical gardens, very tempting smells from the restaurant up the hill.. Good amount of parking, a lot of people but it didn't feel crowded. Water felt warm even if this was early in the season. Recommend heartily!

Negative experience: Very dirty. The sand is dusty and black and will ruin your towel so take an old one. The sea is also dirty, full of rubbish, large pieces of various types of plastic and microplastics too. I don't know where and what the culprit is. I don't recommend to swim in the sea. I spotted a used condom floating there too.

Positive experience: Sandy cozy beach, nice views to Almuñecar Bay. Good restaurant and hotel nearby.
