Cocedores Beach
Information
The Playa de los Cocedores is a stunning beach framed by rocky formations, known for its calm waters and beautiful natural pools. This family-friendly spot is particularly suitable for children, featuring shallow waters and a variety of activities like snorkeling.
Highlights:
- Beautiful Landscape: Spectacular surroundings with clear, calm waters.
- Catering Options: There are two chiringuitos nearby offering food and refreshments.
- Accessibility: Ample parking available, although it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends.
However, the beach can get quite crowded during peak season, leading to some concerns regarding cleanliness and noise levels. Some visitors noted that the water conditions vary, mentioning that it can be a bit dirty at times, with algae present.
While many praised the location, some recommended visiting during off-peak times for a more tranquil experience.

Negative experience: The first time I visited (over 20 years ago) it seemed like a paradise with a unique beach of crystal clear waters. A few days ago I went back and tears came to my eyes. A parking lot crowded with caravans that greatly mar the landscape and the entire area littered with cigarette butts, all kinds of trash, and human excrement with their toilet papers and wipes around, along with an unbearable smell. I don't understand how they do not control this type of settlement in natural areas that should be protected for their high ecological value. As always, humans destroy everything with the complacency of administrations that turn a blind eye. And so it is, wherever you look.
Fantastic experience: Sometimes it's better to say nothing... because the more posts, the more people... It's a wonderful beach, fine sand, clear waters, many fish... sheltered from the wind, ample parking...
Positive experience: Beautiful location, large carpark suitable for campervans, signs say no dogs, toilets only available when cafe bar is open.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach with easy access, spectacular scenery
Positive experience: On 16/08/2024, beautiful, 2 beaches, the one on the right has no waves and is very calm, the one on the left has a few waves, the water was a little dirty, a lot of seaweed-stones, I advise bringing water shoes and masks to snorkel because there are many little fish to see, the 2 parking lots available are mixed, cars and campervans, I recommend parking either at the entrance or in the upper parking lot which has more space and you can maneuver better, you can also spend the night in the upper parking lot.

Fantastic experience: Superb site suitable for vans and dogs
Positive experience: Beautiful location, large carpark suitable for campervans, signs say no dogs, toilets only available when cafe bar is open.
Negative experience: I was expecting a cleaner and quieter beach... I was recommended it and it is true that the water is calm all the time, but it is very dirty... it is full of children and dogs... what I don't understand is why they allow drinking alcohol in glass bottles and practically camping with tents, tables, and so on... Well, I do not recommend it if you want tranquility... there is parking, that's for sure... but the shouts and the bad manners of the people do not compensate for it.
Fantastic experience: I visited it in winter. There are many caravans, although I believe camping is not allowed. The landscape is enchanting, relaxing, and unique. Many hikers and families are walking with children and pets.
Paisaje precioso.

Positive experience: Very beautiful beach. There are many stones in the water, so water shoes are necessary. Next to it, there are some beach bars where you can get a drink. On the weekends, it gets quite crowded, making it difficult to park the car and find a spot on the beach.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with clear sand. Lots of parking.

Positive experience: Very beautiful beach. There are many stones in the water, so water shoes are necessary. Next to it, there are some beach bars where you can get a drink. On the weekends, it gets quite crowded, making it difficult to park the car and find a spot on the beach.
Fantastic experience: Cove that has shallow water, ideal for going with children, the parking is dirt and there is quite a lot of space but it also fills up quickly, there are no showers, but on the other hand, there are 2 beach bars a few meters away and elevated with views of the cove, the landscape is very beautiful if it is not overcrowded. We went on a Sunday in July... I have to compare it with another weekday to see if there are so many people.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic beach, it's a pity about the constant noise from the generators of both beach bars, otherwise very good !!!!
Fantastic experience: I have been twice in June. The truth is that the beach is calm with no waves and great for swimming. The beach bars are really nice!
Positive experience: Very nice but very crowded, with a beach bar.

Fantastic experience: Excelente cala, acceso a 2 calas contiguas.
Casi no cubre.

Positive experience: Beautiful clear water and very calm swimming conditions. With the rock formations around. Unique experience

Positive experience: The place is beautiful, the sunset an orange jewel... but the lack of control, the dirt of the caves, and the 500,000 caravans that violate the rules take away stars.
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beaches on the coast in my opinion. Victim of its beauty, there are many camper vans.

Positive experience: The beach itself is beautiful, postcard-like. But it was overcrowded with people and full of seaweed. The one right next to it (La Carolina) is good for learning to surf.
Fantastic experience: Quiet cove accessible, many fish, beach bars, what more could you ask for? It's a very sheltered cove, so the wind doesn't come in, excellent for going with children; practicing snorkeling or paddle surfing.
Siempre funciona
Fantastic experience: Un sitio espectacular.

Fantastic experience: La gente discute a quién pertenece.

Fantastic experience: An exceptional beach, perfect for snorkeling and going with children. The water is very clear, with a lot of biodiversity.
Fantastic experience: Quiet cove accessible, many fish, beach bars, what more could you ask for? It's a very sheltered cove, so the wind doesn't come in, excellent for going with children; practicing snorkeling or paddle surfing.
Fantastic experience: The downside of promoting beaches like this is that they get overcrowded.. the truth is that it has lost its magic with so much mass tourism.. just a few years ago, there weren't as many people and it was enjoyed much more. It is indeed ideal for children because there are no waves and you can go snorkeling (if that word exists), surface diving I mean, and see plenty of fish.
Positive experience: It's a beautiful beach, good for snorkeling and walking around. However, it can get really crowded.
Fantastic experience: We like this beach it's a very safe beach for little ones as if you stay in the bit that has rocks around it it does not get to deep or have any sudden drops (YOU still need to keep an eye on your children as any water can be dangerous. ) the other part of the beach does get deep water Their is a lot of fish swimming freely around you with is great to see good place to go snorkeling. It has a couple of restaurants by the beaches have not tried them. We do spend a lot of time at this beach being english we are use to colder weather and colder sea so even in December we will be on this beach and the kids will be paddling while all the locals will be in coats and winter gear. As i say we enjoy this beach a lot even with covid 19 about this is still a good place to be and it is nice to be able to share this beach with the local people.

Fantastic experience: A very beautiful beach or cove for swimming, diving, or spending the day, it has a pristine look but is overcrowded, at least in summer. Every time I've been in these areas, I always went to Playa de la Carolina, and I consider this cove to be more beautiful, but it is also hotter; it is more suited for small children and older people. I filmed the entire cove with my mini drone; in fact, the photos are from the video I made, and it is on YouTube, search 'droned playa de los cocederos' you'll love it!! There are shots from all angles. ...And of course, don't miss going because it will impress you.
Fantastic experience: Playa con parking gratuito y fácil acceso Aguas transparentes. Se puede hacer buceo. 2 chiringuitos

Fantastic experience: I love it. Very small, but with a lot of charm. And with a lot of grace because half belongs to Almería and the other half to Murcia ;)
Positive experience: Great
Fantastic experience: Superb site suitable for vans and dogs
Fantastic experience: Nice sunset 10 minutes from Aguilas, in winter it has a large community of caravans.
Fantastic experience: Great place to relax and enjoy. Not a huge area but not overcrowded out of season.
Fantastic experience: Great place for a few days of relaxation. Daily delivery of bread.
Fantastic experience: Sometimes it's better to say nothing... because the more posts, the more people... It's a wonderful beach, fine sand, clear waters, many fish... sheltered from the wind, ample parking...
Fantastic experience: An absolute dream, caves, nature reserve, beach, and many fish in the water.
Positive experience: Many jellyfish today!!!
Positive experience: Beautiful location, large carpark suitable for campervans, signs say no dogs, toilets only available when cafe bar is open.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach with easy access, spectacular scenery
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place, the entrance to the water is sandy and shallow for a long distance.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful little beach with transparent waters. One of the best I've visited in Almería.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular and very calm if you don't go in summer
Positive experience: On 16/08/2024, beautiful, 2 beaches, the one on the right has no waves and is very calm, the one on the left has a few waves, the water was a little dirty, a lot of seaweed-stones, I advise bringing water shoes and masks to snorkel because there are many little fish to see, the 2 parking lots available are mixed, cars and campervans, I recommend parking either at the entrance or in the upper parking lot which has more space and you can maneuver better, you can also spend the night in the upper parking lot.

Well, I do not recommend it if you want tranquility... there is parking, that's for sure... but the shouts and the bad manners of the people do not compensate for it.
Positive experience: The beach is nice although very crowded. The water is too warm, it barely refreshes. It's good to see, but I wouldn't return during high season.
Fantastic experience: It's a very calm and family-friendly beach. 100% recommended.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place and dream beaches
Positive experience: Very beautiful beach. There are many stones in the water, so water shoes are necessary. Next to it, there are some beach bars where you can get a drink. On the weekends, it gets quite crowded, making it difficult to park the car and find a spot on the beach.
Fantastic experience: Super beach, but you need to know that there's a way to get here. The end of the road is on sand and we drove a camper with bikes on the rack without covers. The bikes got extremely dirty, but it was worth it. Right by the beach, there are 2 restaurants.
Positive experience: Not very spacious, better than Carolina next door, more wild.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach, clean, easy to access with large parking.
Fantastic experience: Excellent, highly recommended
Fantastic experience: A good place for children With many people
Negative experience: I was very disappointed! The beach is quite dirty!
Positive experience: A small cove ideal for children, it gradually becomes shallow. It's advisable to arrive early.
Fantastic experience: An exceptional beach, perfect for snorkeling and going with children. The water is very clear, with a lot of biodiversity.
Fantastic experience: For me, the best beach in the entire province of Almería. There may be others more beautiful, but when it comes to the relationship, accessibility, beauty, etc., there is none that comes close.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic beach, it's a pity about the constant noise from the generators of both beach bars, otherwise very good !!!!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with clear sand. Lots of parking.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful landscape. The beach was crowded.
Positive experience: A very interesting area to spend some time at the beach.
Fantastic experience: I have been twice in June. The truth is that the beach is calm with no waves and great for swimming. The beach bars are really nice!
Fantastic experience: Just magnificent
Fantastic experience: If you are in the area, it is worth visiting this small cove that is very beautiful.
Positive experience: Very nice but very crowded, with a beach bar.
Fantastic experience: Let's take care of this precious environment
Fantastic experience: My family loves that beach, in August it's hard to find a spot, but May, June, and mid-July... Highly recommended
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful beach with calm waters, very family-friendly, children are not in danger, since the beach is shallow!! From the beach bar, there are good views of the sea...
Fantastic experience: I simply love it.
Positive experience: Perfect place for a getaway between Murcia and Andalusia
Fantastic experience: A different and interesting beach. If you're in Almería, it's a must-visit.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful cove. With parking, beach bars, and a family atmosphere. The sea at this little beach is calm and not deep, so it's perfect for going with children. Its history has left a mark on the rocks, creating a unique image.
Positive experience: The beach is fantastic, stunning views and crystal clear waters. However, quite a bit of litter everywhere, even in the water.
Fantastic experience: Very peaceful cove to spend the day. The natural caves are a spectacle. It has a beach bar.
Fantastic experience: Dreamlike here, very beautiful area
Fantastic experience: Beautiful little corner. The campers are not mistaken.
Positive experience: We have never seen so many free-standing people as in this place. One can endure it well here. However, it is very crowded.
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, especially in winter
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach, the downside is that there were so many campervans and a lot of trash.
Fantastic experience: The beach is beautiful but there are too many campervans and a lot of people, few parking spaces because of the campervans. Small children only on bicycles all over the parking lot. The feeling I had was like a hippie commune. It's a shame because the beach is stunning.
Positive experience: Spectacular cove, with rock formations.
Fantastic experience: A magnificent beach. Moreover, it has beach bars that are great for lunch.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach but for a sunny day, we went and there was a breeze and cold weather that wouldn't stop, we had to leave.
Fantastic experience: Nice beach sheltered from the wind. It has a beach bar that is very good, the only downside is that there are no restrooms and you have to use the portable cabins provided by the town hall.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach, crystal clear waters and usually calm, ideal for going with children. In summer it is crowded; if you don't go early, it is impossible to park. The rest of the year it is usually quieter, although the parking lot is always full of caravans.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with fine sand. It doesn't cover much and is nice for going with children. An emblematic place, where in the past they used to cook esparto. On weekends it is usually very crowded. There are two beach bars to eat: Los Cocederos and Las Cuatro Calas.
Fantastic experience: We love to spend time.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful. A lovely cove, with a beach bar, and few waves.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful the beach
Fantastic experience: I love it
Fantastic experience: Sunrise experience January 2024
Fantastic experience: We were here last year. Always nice.
Fantastic experience: It's really cool because half of it is Murcia, and the other half is Andalucia (。♥‿♥。). Besides that, there are many rock formations that are worth seeing, and I also warn that there are a lot of tiny crabs!
Fantastic experience: I visited it in winter. There are many caravans, although I believe camping is not allowed. The landscape is enchanting, relaxing, and unique. Many hikers and families are walking with children and pets.
Fantastic experience: Cocedores beach is also called Cala Cerrada. It is located in Pulpí, very close to Águilas, and belongs to a protected natural space known as 'the four coves'. It is worth making a stop here, not only for the beach but also for the entire landscape around it.
Fantastic experience: Too steep and dusty with the camper van
Fantastic experience: just one word MAGIC....
Fantastic experience: Superb and family-friendly beautiful beach and easy for swimming
Fantastic experience: Really beautiful beach with safe, shallow water.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful small cove. Perfect with children, large parking and easy access
Fantastic experience: Pebble beach, the water is very clean and the views are spectacular.
Fantastic experience: Simply beautiful. Fine sand, clear water, beautiful landscapes.
Negative experience: Very crowded, you can't put a foot in the sand, plus people throw a lot of garbage and you can find everything lying around, EVERYTHING.
Fantastic experience: My favourite beach front. Beautiful little cover with 3 chiringitos. Food average but filling and reasonably priced. Sage place to swim with little fish that nibble your toes. It's an absolute delight
Fantastic experience: One of the charming coastal natural spots. The sunrise is an explosion of color that I recommend!
Positive experience: The cove is ideal with ample parking and easy access. The water is crystal clear and warm. Clean. If I had to point out something negative, it would be the lack of basic services like restrooms and at least foot showers. The cave area smelled like urine and there was indeed trash.
Fantastic experience: Very nice, ideal for those who do climbing and clear, warm water
Positive experience: The beach is beautiful and the waters are wonderful… there are not enough showers and better facilities like proper restrooms. There is too much trash… we need more civility!!!
Fantastic experience: August 2023. Beautiful beach in a natural cove that creates fantastic pools. The beach is not equipped with showers but it is enchanting and worth a visit. There is also a beach bar to eat fish or other things. A must-see!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach and bay, the last stop in the Almeria region, then comes Murcia. The beach is known for its rock formations.
Fantastic experience: Outside of August, it's a wonder. In August, it's the opposite.
Fantastic experience: Beach with little wave action due to its location, clear waters and nice scenery
Fantastic experience: Spectacular 150-meter beach, fine sand and beautiful surroundings. The beach bars are ideal for eating, averaging 20 to 25 euros per person. Recommended excursion.
Positive experience: Beach with no issues for parking, clean, with calm waters and ideal for diving.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful, calm and clean waters. It has two beach bars; I was at the one with the seafood and the quality-price ratio is good. Large parking next to it.
Positive experience: It's a beautiful beach, good for snorkeling and walking around. However, it can get really crowded.
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful beach or cove for swimming, diving, or spending the day, it has a pristine look but is overcrowded, at least in summer. Fantastic experience: Simply spectacular! One of my favorite spots, not especially as a beach but as a landscape. The yellowish color of its walls and the contrast with the blue of the sea is impressive! The beach itself has all kinds of services and even a beach bar!!
