Prior Spring River Beach
Information
The Fuente Prior River Beach is a charming natural space located along the Arlanzón River, perfect for enjoying nature. Users praise its proximity to the city and the peaceful environment, ideal for walking, jogging, or relaxing. Nearby amenities include restrooms, showers, first aid stations, and picnic areas with tables. However, many note that the beach is not well-maintained, with comments about dirty water, overgrown reeds, and undesirable conditions for swimming. Despite these issues, it is a beautiful spot for families to enjoy quality time and for those who appreciate birdwatching, especially with the variety of ducks in the area. Visitors recommend it for strolls and outdoor activities, though caution is advised regarding swimming.

Negative experience: Looking at the reviews, I expected to find something more habitable. As a duck pond, it's very nice, even beautiful, but I believe it is not suitable for swimming; the sandy area was covered in duck droppings and feathers, the water reaches up to the knees, and most of the water is occupied by reeds. Not much shade. That said, it's an exceptional place for birds, but not for humans.
Fantastic experience: I adore Burgos in general and this area in particular. Very beautiful, it has a restaurant, restrooms, children's areas, and paths to get lost. You can go on foot or by car.

Negative experience: Looks nice but no dogs allowed

Positive experience: Fuente del Prior river beach, on the Arlanzón River, in the Fuentes Blancas park. An artificial sandy river beach that originated in the 1980s. Lifeguard service during the summer season, showers, first aid kit, reading point... A beautiful place to sunbathe, but be careful with swimming because the water quality is not good, although at least the air is breezy.
Negative experience: There is no room for the ducks in the grass, nothing is taken care of, and don't swim because you'll drown. If a child falls, you won't get them out of there. My dog fell, and I had to get into the water up to my navel to rescue him, and then the mud below looks like quicksand. Just wait and hope nothing happens. The town hall is filled with lazy people. Then they cut down all the trees and remove tables, parks for children are outdated, in short, I don't know who gets my taxes. It should be reported or let's see if a good flood comes and puts it in the main square.
Positive experience: The beach has seen better days... there is sand, but the shore is full of reeds and mud, so you can only dip your feet, the surroundings are beautiful, all nature, the attraction is the ducks at the dam, the area is great for taking a walk, playing something on the lawns, or having a meal because there are picnic tables.
