Positive experience: The beach itself is not a highlight, but you can definitely take a little break and linger here. There are hardly any parking spaces, so you have to walk a bit.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful black beach that becomes quite small at high tide. You can park at the harbor. Unfortunately, there aren't very many parking spaces. We paid about €17 for 7 hours. Showers and toilets are also available. The sand gets very hot. I would definitely recommend bath shoes and a sun umbrella. Otherwise, a well-protected spot, with very little wind and a nice view of Los Gigantos.
Positive experience: Nice beach to enjoy with kids, as it is usually very quiet. It doesn't have much space, and the downside is that there is little parking unless you go to the parking lot, which is 1 minute away.
Positive experience: Ocean full of seaweed and paid parking at the port. The beach was not crowded when we arrived in the afternoon, but there was seaweed everywhere that made swimming difficult.
Positive experience: The beach was great. Accessible area and availability to rent kayaks, boat trips, and see dolphins. The water got a bit dirty by late afternoon.

Positive experience: The beach of Los Gigantes, where you can admire the imposing cliffs, is reached via a small road lined with souvenir shops. It has the usual low-pressure showers and is quite spacious, but only up to a certain point, then you cannot proceed due to the risk of landslides (there is still a path that leads to an exposed trail along the cliffs). Beautiful black volcanic sand and scenery, but we found the water too dirty (it is still a bay close to the port) and with slippery stones to enter. Worth a visit at least once.
Positive experience: Beautiful views of the giants, a very small beach with volcanic sand, some stones, with hours depending on the season, has lifeguard and showers, currently has an area closed due to landslides.

Fantastic experience: The scenic spot Los Gigantes, which you can photograph from Playa de los Guios (since the harbour wall is closed off) is always worth a visit. Not only because of the incredibly beautiful, natural volcanic cliffs, which tempt you to take wonderful photos, but also because of the great restaurants, bistros and bars, as well as the proximity to "Playa de la Arena", the blackest sandy beach on the island, which is difficult to walk on barefoot in high summer.

Positive experience: Black sand beach not very big, has showers at the exit, the problem is that if you go by car it is very difficult to park, if you go early you can find a spot in the port parking otherwise... paid parking of course.
Fantastic experience: Beach with fine black sand and a breathtaking view of the Los Gigantes cliffs! Despite the presence of stones in the sea, there are areas where there is also sand and the water does not become deep immediately, making it pleasant to stay in without swimming. Free parking is complicated to find, but there is paid parking at the port for €2/hour. Highly recommended!!
Positive experience: Good view, there is a shower and bathroom. In water, there are many big stones, it hurts when you swim. Also, there is a lot of waste in the water.
Negative experience: Not for us! The view of the beautiful and giant mountains that rise steeply from the sea on one side is disturbed by a very ugly harbor in front of the beach!! The black sand is peculiar, but the sea is rather dirty.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful little harbor place. The restaurants there are more expensive than in the surrounding area. Nice to stroll through and admire the high mountain Los Gigantos. Most beaches have pebbles. Swimming shoes for the kids are a must.
Fantastic experience: Small beach ... With showers and bathrooms. Along the road many small shops. Bar on the beach. At least once it's worth seeing, bathing with the 'giant' mountains is impressive.
Positive experience: Access to the beach is prohibited and you cannot see the beach from the Marina. Unfortunately, many people were going to the Marina to access the beach, but there is no access to it. The Marina has shops, restaurants, a market, and 2 diving centers, but parking is paid. I used both diving centers at the marina and the marine life impressed me. By boat, you can enjoy the view and the sea from the Cliffs, but definitely not by walking.
Fantastic experience: Lovely clean harbour, plenty of different waters ports to try, sensible prices. From here you can also get a boat trip for fishing sight seeing or to see the whales and dolphins. Along the harbour there are plenty of shops and restaurants/bars where u can sit and enjoy the sea views. I took my daughter there with some bread, she had a great time feeding the fish, some had lovely colours and patterns on them, we where even lucky enough to see a massive Ray swim past !

Positive experience: Beach closed for safety reasons. Landslides can be dangerous.
Fantastic experience: Playa de los Guios is an impressive beach that is known for its beauty and unique surroundings. The beach is small but offers a breathtaking view of the high cliffs of Los Gigantes, which rise straight out of the sea. The water is clean and clear, making it ideal for snorkeling and admiring the underwater life, including various types of fish. After a few days, you feel at home, thanks in part to the friendly lifeguard who often comes to chat. The stunning natural environment and the clean water make Playa de los Guios a special place for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts.
Negative experience: A beach that has become half of what it was 10 years ago, it has lost its charm and closes at 6 PM due to safety work (after it has been anthropized to an unbelievable extent).
Negative experience: We went on a Monday, the place is very beautiful but the person in charge of security couldn't have been worse and ruined the day for everyone who was there. The beach closes at 6 PM, and that person was threatening everyone on the beach literally since 5 PM that we would be locked in if we didn’t hurry up, literally threatening in a very bad manner. Even at 5:57 PM when there were only 2 parents taking the sand off our kids' feet at the showers to leave, he started threatening that he was going to close the beach if we didn’t leave right away. Horrible that this person is hired, it shows that he hates his job. What a real shame.
Fantastic experience: Landmark location, small gray sand beach, which although small for safety reasons for bathers and visitors, is worth seeing and enjoying. Clean and clear waters, by the way, the dark sand gets quite hot in the sun, so it's advisable to always wear footwear to avoid burning your feet.

Fantastic experience: I found it really nice and clean. Very small but still not too crowded.
Fantastic experience: It's a beautiful beach. At noon there's plenty of people but mainly tanning. The water is always empty.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful but small beach, I recommend it for renting kayaks or paddle boards and getting close to the giants, it also has the port nearby where you can rent boats or jet skis.
Fantastic experience: This is a quieter resort but still has plenty of nice restaurants and bars so nightlife is good and a small beach of black sand for when you fancy a swim. It's well placed for access to Teide volcano and the walks up and around it plus trips to see whales and dolphins. There is also a nice walking path you can access to walk along to the nearby towns along the coast, well worth the effort. There is also a nice marina area with plenty of shops bars and restaurants pleasant for an afternoon drink or a night time meal. Close by there is even a beach suitable for surfers and there is plenty of hiking cycling and fishing options for leisure activities. Pretty much something for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with a view of the cliffs. The beach, although small, is spacious enough (we were there on a Sunday). A really nice place for snorkeling, the fish are very close to the beach and you can enjoy them with simple goggles. The small bar next to the beach is of good quality with reasonable prices.

Positive experience: Small beach with views of the Giant's Cliffs. Highly recommended to go with water shoes because there are many rocks. The water was quite dirty, we were wearing snorkeling masks and it looked pretty bad... But I recommend going even just to spend some time!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful little beach with breathtaking views, perfect for relaxing, and if you want, you can go snorkeling. Equipped with two bars, it's perfect for a quiet and relaxing day. The only downside is the distance from the bus.
Positive experience: Great for snorkeling and swimming in the Atlantic. You can also jump into the sea from the cliffs (not allowed). But be careful!!! Very slippery from the waterline down to about 50 cm deep. Even with swim shoes, there is no chance of a solid footing. The current to the open sea is also strong. Overall, a recommendation.

Fantastic experience: The beach is not large, but beautiful. Those who bring their goggles can observe perch and lionfish. The beach is regularly closed when the authorities believe that there is a dangerous weather condition. This should definitely be noted.

Fantastic experience: A beautiful but small beach, I recommend it for renting kayaks or paddle boards and getting close to the giants, it also has the port nearby where you can rent boats or jet skis.
Positive experience: Although the beach's location is great for admiring the cliffs of the Giants, it is overcrowded because it is quite small, especially now that half of the beach has been closed for some time due to landslides from the construction of a viewpoint. It is an exceptional spot to go kayaking towards the Giants.
Fantastic experience: Great beach to visit when in Tenerife. Beach can get a bit crowded but it is still ok. It is possible to rent kayak or SUP, what we did and it was great
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with a magnificent view to the Los Gigantes cliffs. We visited in December and there were some bigger waves, no one was swimming but there were few people walking in the water. There is a lifeguard. Definitely good place to see the cliffs from the bottom. There is very nice ice cream place coming up to the beach. You can also rent a kayak next to the beach and watch cliffs from the water.
Guios Beach: Reviews
Negative experience: It was closed, we could not get to the beach, it had police tape blocking it
Fantastic experience: Very cool views.

Fantastic experience: Great beach right by Los Gigantes. The volcanic sand is nice and it's great for lounging.
Fantastic experience: I found it really nice and clean. Very small but still not too crowded.
Positive experience: Ocean full of seaweed and paid parking at the port. The beach was not crowded when we arrived in the afternoon, but there was seaweed everywhere that made swimming difficult.

Negative experience: I think it's one of the ugliest beaches. I don't know if I happened to go on the wrong day, but the sea was dirty, the beach too, and there was a nauseating smell of fish, typical of ports.
Fantastic experience: Beach with fine black sand and a breathtaking view of the Los Gigantes cliffs! Fantastic experience: Wonderful and spectacular view of the giants...
Negative experience: Not for us! The view of the beautiful and giant mountains that rise steeply from the sea on one side is disturbed by a very ugly harbor in front of the beach!! The black sand is peculiar, but the sea is rather dirty.

A really nice place for snorkeling, the fish are very close to the beach and you can enjoy them with simple goggles. The small bar next to the beach is of good quality with reasonable prices.
Fantastic experience: I've never been to such an interesting place either. After the harbor, there's a beach surrounded by huge cliffs. You absolutely have to see it because it's worth coming here.
Fantastic experience: Nice beach with better views
Positive experience: Small beach with black sand, very beautiful and with clean and calm waters. It's important to use a lot of sunscreen because the sun burns a lot as it is very sheltered and the sand is really hot making the use of flip flops necessary. It's not easy to park in the town although there is a parking lot nearby.
Positive experience: Very beautiful beach but small. Black sand that burns a lot (+60º) but the sea temperature is very pleasant. I read in reviews that it's very dirty, but I don't see it that way; the water is clean and crystal clear. Very useful are the slip-on shoes type booties because there are rocks and it's slippery. I came on a holiday and there are many people, but even so we found a spot and it's not very noisy.
Positive experience: Unfortunately, a huge amount of (micro)plastic in the water
Fantastic experience: A beautiful but small beach, I recommend it for renting kayaks or paddle boards and getting close to the giants, it also has the port nearby where you can rent boats or jet skis.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular place, beach next to the giants
Positive experience: Decent beach, with small rocks when entering the water. And the view of the cliffs is not bad.
Fantastic experience: A very nice beach to take photos, but it's small for relaxing, half of it is blocked due to a rockfall.
Fantastic experience: Super place, but the locals' care for this beach is non-existent. Not much space, practically zero umbrellas and sunbeds.
Positive experience: it's very beautiful but the beach is crowded and not very clean, plus it's a big hassle to park..good luck
Positive experience: Nature is indescribable. The black sand will stick to your feet and is very hot. It is recommended to wear water sandals on this beach. The water is dirty, there are strong waves, and there are stones in the water, so you can get hurt as the currents carry you towards the shore. Not suitable for swimming, more for relaxing.
Fantastic experience: A well-maintained beach with a magnificent view of the cliffs of Los Gigantes. The beach has black sand, and the entry into the water is rocky, so I recommend buying water shoes before going to this beach. The water at the shore is clear, but there are some seaweeds.
Positive experience: Beautiful view, the beach is not overcrowded, however the water is not very clean and there are a lot of waves.. pebbles when entering the water.
Positive experience: Very beautiful beach on the side of a cliff. Nice black sand but there are rocks and pebbles that make swimming difficult.
Positive experience: A nice beach, I didn't like only that there are large stones at the entrance to the water, after that it's fine.
Fantastic experience: Superb beach, quite calm waves compared to the nearby beaches, which is nice. A few difficulties finding parking spots nearby, expect a bit of walking (15 minutes max).
Positive experience: Beautiful beach! Don't forget your flip-flops because the sand is burning hot! Nice views of the Giants ;)
Fantastic experience: Beautiful little harbor place. The restaurants there are more expensive than in the surrounding area. Nice to stroll through and admire the high mountain Los Gigantos. Most beaches have pebbles. Swimming shoes for the kids are a must.

Beautiful black volcanic sand and scenery, but we found the water too dirty (it is still a bay close to the port) and with slippery stones to enter. Worth a visit at least once.
Fantastic experience: Small beach with black sand. It is quiet and you have the cliffs in the background. Very good
Positive experience: Small beach with views of the Giant's Cliffs. Highly recommended to go with water shoes because there are many rocks. The water was quite dirty, we were wearing snorkeling masks and it looked pretty bad... But I recommend going even just to spend some time!
Fantastic experience: Good place to shop and eat... The beach is very clean and calm.
Positive experience: I expected more. Having the giants next to you is amazing, but I prefer to see the image of the giants from Punta de Teno. Small beach. It's very far, so if you don't like being in the car too much, it's not worth going that far. Obviously, if you want to be a hiker and see the island seriously, you have to go.
Positive experience: Small beach with a quality certificate. I visited it on a summer Friday and it was a bit crowded but very clean and ideal for relaxing, sunbathing, and enjoying the sea. Sand beach.
Fantastic experience: We had a great time! We were earlier at Playa de la Arena, but it was impossible to swim, so we went to Playa de Guios, which was spectacular. Both my kids and I were able to swim with complete peace of mind.
Positive experience: Scenically a beautiful place. However, I find it very unfortunate and incomprehensible that the beach is only open until 6 PM.
Positive experience: Small beach in the Giants. You really look good on the high rocks that the Giants are known for.
Negative experience: A beach that has become half of what it was 10 years ago, it has lost its charm and closes at 6 PM due to safety work (after it has been anthropized to an unbelievable extent).
Fantastic experience: Beautiful little beach with breathtaking views, perfect for relaxing, and if you want, you can go snorkeling. Equipped with two bars, it's perfect for a quiet and relaxing day. The only downside is the distance from the bus.
Fantastic experience: Los Gigantes - are among the highest cliffs in Europe, reaching up to 800m. Accordingly, the view of these rock formations is overwhelming. Simply breathtaking and a highlight of our Tenerife tour.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with black volcanic sand. Majestic cliffs. There are bars and souvenir shops nearby. We found free parking. We will come back here again when we are in Tenerife!
Positive experience: Beautiful, the water is warm ✨ When entering the water, there are large stones, and then sand ❤️ There are lifeguards. You can also rent a sunbed for €4 and an umbrella for €4, or lie on your own towels. At the bottom, there is a cafe where you can eat, and there is also parking at the very bottom, but we didn't know about it, so we walked 1.5 km to the beach. Black beautiful sand, soft water.
Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean beach with a lifeguard. Right on the cliffs of Los Gigantes. Great view, great water. Mostly very quiet and few children.
Positive experience: A small beach with black, volcanic sand. Walk 2 meters or so into the ocean and you encounter lots of small boulders which are uncomfortable to walk on.
Positive experience: A beach without more. Small with a bar right next to it and with a restricted area due to the danger of landslides. If it weren't for the Giant's Cliffs, it wouldn't be worth the trip.
Negative experience: It is very small and with quite a few waves. It is not a beach to go with kids. The beautiful part is the Giant's cliffs, not the beach. There are better ones.
Fantastic experience: Black sand beach, there are stones when entering the water, you need to wear water shoes. Very beautiful and with views of the Giant's Cliff.
Positive experience: It is a place to enjoy the view, although it is not very accessible by car, and the beach itself is somewhat small and, in my opinion, it is too close to the cliffs where there could be some landslides. Nice to see, not very recommended for swimming.
Fantastic experience: Beach at the Giants of Tenerife, one of the most famous on the Canary Island, spectacular, small but relaxing, and a great place to watch the sunset.
Positive experience: It is a beach with limited access until 6:00 PM. It is very crowded and very small. It is essential to go with water shoes as there are many stones to enter the sea. The parking in the area is paid. My experience was not very pleasant because of how crowded it was.
Negative experience: For swimming, there are much nicer beaches nearby, such as Playa Jaquita. From there, you also have a view of the Giants, albeit from further away. However, Jaquita is very nice and well-laid-out and offers several small coves. You also don't lie directly at the harbor, as with this beach here, and there are no opening hours. All in all, Playa de los Guíos is only worth a visit to be close to the Giants. Unfortunately, the associated town is a terrible example of the construction sins of the Spanish tourism industry and is not very inviting.
Negative experience: Uphill, rats, dirt, stench. It's worth coming just to be disappointed. Closed from 6 PM.
Positive experience: A nice place to relax, an unusual beach with black sand and stones. It was a bit difficult to get out of the water.
Fantastic experience: The beach is great. The sand is of course scorching, but as they say, it's healing. The waves are just right. The kids have a blast there. There are stones in the water, but only a bit to the side, where the big stones are, there is a passage where there are no stones.
Positive experience: The place is not bad, the beach consists of black sand. You come out like a miner after a shift. Plus, there's a motorboat exit from the cove 200 meters away. In the cove itself, there are oil stains on the water, as it should be. It's a place for enthusiasts. You can see it, but I didn't swim.
Fantastic experience: Small but in beautiful scenery
Fantastic experience: The beach is very beautiful in the very iconic Cliffs in the southern part of the island of Tenerife
Negative experience: The beach is very small and I found it closed; I honestly expected something more impressive.
Positive experience: The bathroom is somewhat difficult as entering the water is full of rocks. Additionally, part of the beach is closed.
Positive experience: The beach is closed and under construction. It has hours from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening and access is limited due to the works. The only thing worth it are the stunning views it has, but I was expecting a lot more.
Positive experience: The beach is completely different from what we are used to seeing, black sand with huge cliffs acting as walls and with opening and closing times; I think it is because it is quite dangerous to leave it open and unsupervised.
Positive experience: The place is cool, but at 6:00 PM they kicked us out of the beach! That had never happened to me before... it was under construction and there were fences that took away a bit of the charm of the place. To drive there, you have to pay for a nearby parking lot at the port.
Positive experience: We arrived at this small beach by chance as the nearby natural pools were closed for swimming due to rough seas. It was a nice surprise, a beach with glittery black sand and a cove against a cliff. Part of the beach is closed due to the risk of collapses, which doesn't allow for more space between bathers. The annoying strip of stones (4.5 meters) that lies between the shore and the completely sandy bottom, but if you have water shoes you can enjoy a nice swim. The area has public showers, souvenir shops, and places to eat, but parking is limited.
Positive experience: Small black sand beach, pretty thanks to the cliffs that surround it, but there is little room to settle, especially in high season. Moreover, the entire right side of the beach was prohibited to access (reason?). Possibility to swim, and to rent sunbeds for a fee. A few bars and ice cream shops around. Accessible with a stroller.
Negative experience: Small, overcrowded beach. They close at 5 and you can't access with pets or in arms. The only good thing is the lifeguard, a lovely person.
Negative experience: Lifeguards do not allow entering the beach with flip flops (black sand, very hot!). The beach is very small. In general - not worth going there. However, I highly recommend visiting the area to take a quick look (the view is lovely) and then just keep going.
Positive experience: Beautiful and small beach surrounded by cliffs. The problem is that, in addition to its small size, half of it is closed. The sea is quite dirty in this area, full of seaweed and dirt.
Positive experience: Beautiful views of the giants, a very small beach with volcanic sand, some stones, with hours depending on the season, has lifeguard and showers, currently has an area closed due to landslides.
Positive experience: The beach is underwhelming, half of it is closed due to a collapsing cliff. The cliffs are impressive, but definitely better viewed from Punta de Teno. Unfortunately, every meter here is built up with hotels.
Fantastic experience: Very small beach. Half of the beach was blocked due to construction work. But the waves... this beach is worth visiting for those who like good waves. But the view is amazing!
Fantastic experience: Top place. Especially good for sunsets and photo shoot.
Positive experience: Small beach with hours. We arrived in the afternoon and it was already closed. But it has a magnificent view.
Negative experience: Beach closed at 5 PM not marked by anyone.. beautiful but what a rip-off
Fantastic experience: Small beach ... With showers and bathrooms. Along the road many small shops. Bar on the beach. At least once it's worth seeing, bathing with the 'giant' mountains is impressive.
Fantastic experience: A beautiful place. Beach with black sand, guarded until 5:30 PM, free of charge. On the beach, there are large restrooms, showers, and a bar. It’s worth spending time here, to swim. From this place, you can reach the promenade with restaurants about 1.5 km away on foot, with beautiful views and more beaches along the way, such as La Arena.
Positive experience: Nice black sand beach in a cove surrounded by cliffs. Half of the beach was closed off due to the risk of falling rocks, and it's only open from 9am-5pm. Public toilets available.
Fantastic experience: Small family beach, with a very small 'café', definitely inviting for swimming, with the sunset of Los Gigantes.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful small beach with black sand, overlooking the amazing cliffs of Los Gigantes. There are showers at the entrance to the beach. Wonderful color of the water in the cove. The only downside is the constant lack of parking spaces in the area, paid parking at the port. On windy days, there are considerable waves. When swimming, one must be careful of the stones in the water and follow the lifeguard's recommendations.
Fantastic experience: Beach with black volcanic sand and fantastic views of the Los Gigantes cliffs. A small part of the beach is available, and during our visit in December 2023, it was possible to swim here. Next to it, a small picturesque marina. A picturesque place if you hit nice weather, great photo opportunity. Entrance is free. On the way to the beach, you can shop at the local stores. Parking can vary depending on the season. We had to go around a few times before we found a free spot on the narrow street.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful beach my people, with black sand but it is at risk due to landslides, be careful, the views of the cliffs are amazing.
Fantastic experience: Nice but small, be careful at water, there are a lot of rocks
Positive experience: Although the beach's location is great for admiring the cliffs of the Giants, it is overcrowded because it is quite small, especially now that half of the beach has been closed for some time due to landslides from the construction of a viewpoint. It is an exceptional spot to go kayaking towards the Giants.
Positive experience: We approached this place with the intention of visiting the Los Gigantes cliff (there were 8 of us). The beach is partly protected by the fishing port of Los Gigantes and by the cliffs themselves; the most impressive thing about this beach is the fantastic view of the majestic cliffs. The beach has fine, dark sand, with some rocky areas, especially in the furthest part from the access. It has lifeguard service and a surveillance point. The beach, measuring 160 meters long and 20 meters wide, offers a rental service for umbrellas and sunbeds, and is prepared for access for people with reduced mobility, having reserved parking spaces.
