San Juan Beach

Fantastic experience: Magnificent beach. Easily accessible by bus via several lines including 21-22, ticket price €1.45 (in January 2025). It is truly worth the detour during your stay. There are dining options along the beach at various prices, with snack bars and restaurants lining the waterfront.

Fantastic experience: To park, you need to arrive early. The beach is very clean, both the land and the water. I recommend it.

Positive experience: The beach itself is fine, although there are not enough parking spaces for the number of people it receives. There is an open space where a guy indicates you can park, a lot with a fallen fence. I don't know who is responsible for maintaining it, but entering that lot cost me a new tire for my car, all because apparently they removed an advertising fence and when cutting it, they left four pieces of the fence on the ground. If you pass by there, it cuts your tire in such a way that it cannot be repaired. I think that if parking is not allowed, they should close it because aside from cars, someone who trips there could end up in the hospital with a big cut.

Fantastic experience: For me, the best beach in Alicante, spacious for walking, good sand, establishments nearby and well connected. The only downside is that it's difficult to find a spot and parking is also complicated.

Fantastic experience: Beach with crystal clear waters, low crowding, good accessibility, options to rent umbrellas and sun loungers. It can be reached from the city of Alicante by the Tram on Line 3 to the Costa Blanca station. A couple of beach bars (some a bit expensive) but overall, a beach I would definitely return to.

Negative experience: Beautiful beach and one of the best and nicest areas of Alicante. With a wide gastronomic offer and a variety of shops. Its residential area is also very lovely. The beach is quite large and very well maintained. It has several facilities, such as public bathrooms, taps, playgrounds for children, beach volleyball nets, football goals, etc. The only negative thing (and for me super important, since it’s part of my family and I take it everywhere) is that they do not allow dogs, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 5. Such a pity.

Negative experience: - Playa destrozada paisajísticamente por la industria de la construcción. Es un ejemplo de todo lo que se puede hacer mal urbanísticamente. - Tiene serios problemas de olores por mal alcantarillado en varias zonas en las que es imposible bañarse. - En verano está hipermasificada. - De noviembre a marzo se permite el paseo con perros. Los dueños son muy incívicos y permiten que los perros meen y caguen en la playa, contribuyendo a su deterioro. - Nuevos chiringuitos y negocios invaden el espacio público de la arena gracias a la corrupción endémica de la zona, y la llenan de ruido y basura. - Pescadores de pesca submarina pescan en mitad del día con el enorme peligro que esto supone, y con la aniquilación de los pocos peces que restan en la zona.

Fantastic experience: Excelente playa para toda la familia, cercanía de restaurantes, heladerías, bares, tiendas. En fin muy agradable.

Positive experience: Buen sitio para veranear si quieres tranquilidad. Nada de aglomeraciones tipo Benidorm. Muchos residenciales por lo que está menos masificado que otros lugares turísticos. Cercanía a Alicante si lo que buscas es algo de marcha nocturna y además está muy bien conectado por tranvía o autobús de línea.

Fantastic experience: A very beautiful and pleasant place to visit. Whenever I can, I go for a bike ride along the beach. The only downside I see is that when you're on the bike lane, there are always people crossing without looking, and you have to stop all the time.

Positive experience: Very nice beach ️ good place to walk and enjoy the wonderful view. Lots of places to do daily training like running or just walk along the beach or socialize with friends or get know other people. Some others come here to play beach volleyball. There are lots of amenities along the beach to help people get relaxed and enjoy their time, such as places to sit, wash hands or feet, signs that help you find your way and also lifeguards.

Positive experience: Clean, flat and very very long. There are no seaweed beds, no rocks shallow water for 50 mts out and lifeguards every 500 mtrs.

Fantastic experience: Hay para alquilar tablas de surf y pádel surf. Cada pocos metros también hay para alquilar hamacas con sombrilla. La playa esta limpia y bien vigilada. Cada pocos metros hay camino de madera hasta el paseo con duchas d pies

Fantastic experience: Great beach. Lots of sand . The beach is broad, perfect for children and elderly because the water keeps shallow for quite a distance from the beach. The water quality is usually very good. There's restaurants close by, also supermarkets on short walking distance, tram and bus station. In summer finding a parking lot can get tricky. The beach is also great for fitness enthusiasts because the paseo marítimo is almost 10 km and there is a free on beach open air gym area. Beach volleyball clubs offer (great) teaching, training and tournaments all year. There's Yoga and Pilates classes, Stand Up Paddle board, surfing and kayaking. In total there's everything one can ask for to spend a great time.

Pełna infrastruktura sportowa (siatkówka plażowa, siłownię na powietrzu, kite, surfing, kolarstwo, soccer). Restauracje i knajpki jedna obok drugiej. Centralnie McDonald's. Z centrum można dojechać TRAM linia 3 Przystanek Costa Blanka.

Fantastic experience: Very Well maintained and Big beach, with shallow and clear water. Due to its size people can spread out and you don't feel its over crowded. Also, you don't have beach sellers every other minute. All fine sand, so little to no snorkeling opportunities (no rocks nor seaweed). Has lots of volleyball fileds & nets for free. Toilets, showers, changing cabins, shade zones, playgrounds and parking spaces along the way. Lots of restaurants on the beach or the streets parallel to it. One of if not the best beach of the country. If you are in the city and like to go to the beach, should definetly try it out.

Fantastic experience: O plaja superba, nisip curat si foarte fin, apa curata, plaja e plina de dotari folositoare, potrivita pentru copii, pentru familisti si nu numai, e potrivita si pentru cei tineri. In apropierea ei sunt diverse restaurante, magazine cu de toate, nu duci lipsa de nimic. Statia de autobus e aproape, sunt posibilitati diverse. Recomand cu toata increderea, merita vizitata!
