Positive experience: Good access, although parking is inconvenient to keep in mind. Almost 2 km of beach with very fine sand. Quite busy without crowds. Pets are allowed after 8:00 PM.
Positive experience: Spectacular beach, but very crowded, a lot of difficulties to park, the restrooms at the entrance of the beach are in a bad state... the beach is huge and it feels great.
Fantastic experience: Berria beach is magnificent, with good access and good lifeguard service. It is very large and you never feel overwhelmed by the number of visitors. It has showers. From a landscape perspective, it is very beautiful, with Mount Buciero on one side and Brusco on the other. By crossing the Brusco, you can reach Trengandín beach, which belongs to Noja, in just over 40 minutes on foot. Even being in Cantabria, the water is not cold, allowing for long swims among the waves.
Fantastic experience: Simply spectacular, a marvel full of marine life and highly recommended. Good access, Red Cross station, and areas to eat.
Negative experience: ACCESSIBILITY for people with reduced mobility: We had informed ourselves on several websites which claimed that this is an accessible beach, so we decided to visit it with our daughter who uses a wheelchair. Supposedly there are walkways... which we found buried in the sand. This is a very wide beach and even if you want to position yourself at the back of the beach, you have to cross a good corridor (the walkway) full of sand. We could see that there is an attempt at accessibility, since they reserved two parking spaces for reduced mobility and next to it a wooden platform like those we have seen on other beaches, but this time the platform is so far away that from it you can't even see the beach or the sea. So there are no real accessibility measures.

Fantastic experience: lovely big sandy beach with dramatic headland - and a prison at the other end! great for dogs, very quiet (Early April).
Positive experience: Very nice beach, difficult to park in season, has freshwater showers, during the season they do not allow dogs, but.....
Positive experience: Good access, although parking is inconvenient to keep in mind. Almost 2 km of beach with very fine sand. Quite busy without crowds. Pets are allowed after 8:00 PM.
Fantastic experience: One of the best in the area, ideal for surfing, you can find a few bars and a hotel with a restaurant, it's closed in winter. Be careful, there are areas with strong undertow. Surrounded by mountains and marshes, a gem.
Fantastic experience: Quiet beach, very clean and not too crowded. Public parking next to the beach and cheap (€5 all day). Perfect for going with kids or spending the day relaxing. Beach bar nearby with food, drinks, music, and a great atmosphere. Perfect location.
Fantastic experience: An ideal beach, the only thing to note is the lack of showers; I only saw one, and from that shower to the promenade it is all sand with no wooden planks, so it doesn’t make much sense. Buses heading to Noja and Santoña pass through the same promenade, and there are some beach bars. A fairly residential area, quite a beautiful beach.
Fantastic experience: Beach located in Santoña. Our visit coincided with a volleyball tournament that is held every year in Cantabria and it was fantastic. You can park for free on the street near the beach and there is also a paid parking lot (€3 per day). There are showers and foot showers at the exit. There is also a beach bar to have some drinks and you can order food. The beach has fine sand, some waves for surfers (there is a surf school) and you can also enjoy it even if you're not a surfer. A beach worth repeating.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a beach where you won't get bored, you're in the best one. Just make sure to always respect the flag that the lifeguards have up. This beach is not for doing silly things; it can even be dangerous if you don't take precautions. You can walk for kilometers and swim in a Cantabrian sea full of strength and waves, ideal for surfing.
Fantastic experience: Fine sand that doesn't burn, beach with very little slope for children, with lifeguards... highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, very wide and deep, so lots of space. Would recommend . There is a prison right behind the beach!
Fantastic experience: So many of the northern beaches of Spain are gorgeous, but this is just the most beautiful. Very beach just west of Santoña
Positive experience: Very nice beach, difficult to park in season, has freshwater showers, during the season they do not allow dogs, but.....
Fantastic experience: Good beach, it barely covers and you can walk quite far in. Although there was a red flag, staying at the shore with the water up to your knees was peaceful.

Fantastic experience: Perfect, at this time of year you can see walruses and everything.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, perfect for visiting in winter and walking alone. Really recommended
Fantastic experience: I can't describe it. A man's homeland is where he spent his childhood.
Fantastic experience: spectacular!!
Negative experience: Bad service at the table
Fantastic experience: Spectacular! Super impressive and in a beautiful setting
Positive experience: Good beach for walking and enjoying the day
Fantastic experience: good beach especially from October when we can bring the dog
Fantastic experience: A spectacular beach
Fantastic experience: An impressive beach ideal for sports or walking, as it is very long! Highly recommended to go see the sunrise, which coincides with low tide, and it is a spectacle to see the beach bathed by waves with the reflection of the rising sun! If you are lucky enough to have sunny days, enjoy it, because it is very pleasant and comfortable.... Families with children are also enjoying it a lot, both for swimming and for playing!
Positive experience: Beautiful beach, suitable for both bathers and beginner surfers.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach, mixed with the mountains!! Large enough not to be on top of each other.
Fantastic experience: Tremendous sunset on extensive silver with the best temperature and the best atmosphere, one could not ask for more.
Positive experience: Very nice beach, difficult to park in season, has freshwater showers, during the season they do not allow dogs, but.....
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach in the morning, very calm in the afternoon, big waves. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. If you want to surf, it works perfectly with southeast wind and high tide.
Positive experience: Good access, although parking is inconvenient to keep in mind. Almost 2 km of beach with very fine sand. Quite busy without crowds. Pets are allowed after 8:00 PM.
Fantastic experience: Awesome! Excellent beach!
Fantastic experience: I love it, especially the passionate surf school at the Berria campsite.
Fantastic experience: My favorite beach this summer for everything. Also, everyone keeps to themselves, nobody bothers anyone, that's why the atmosphere at the beach is very pleasant.
Fantastic experience: Good beach, it barely covers and you can walk quite far in. Although there was a red flag, staying at the shore with the water up to your knees was peaceful.

Fantastic experience: Super clean and not overcrowded
Fantastic experience: Anonadada con la paz que me transmitió este espacio ,limpio, accesible.
Negative experience: Imposible llegar.

Fantastic experience: Relax moment
Positive experience: Somebody knows if it is possible to stay there with dogs?
Fantastic experience: One of the best in the area, ideal for surfing, you can find a few bars and a hotel with a restaurant, it's closed in winter. Be careful, there are areas with strong undertow. Surrounded by mountains and marshes, a gem.
Fantastic experience: Very well-kept and beautiful beach.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach, in a very beautiful environment and surrounded by charming towns. Maybe things change in the summer season, but it is also a quiet, safe beach with good wave conditions.
Positive experience: The beach is great, but you have to be careful with the weeds at the entrance, my dog stepped in for 10 seconds and got 2 ticks (and he's wearing a collar and parasite pill). It's happened to us more than once and on different weeks.
Fantastic experience: The best beach in Cantabria
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach. Big, clean, not overcrowded... Special for surfers...
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach location between two mountain ranges.
Fantastic experience: Very large and perfect for walking
Negative experience: You can no longer go during the day with dogs. Last summer, very hefty fines. Parking is a nightmare and the prices in hospitality have skyrocketed. This is no longer what it used to be.
Fantastic experience: Magnificent beach for walking, except for finding many cigarette butts and other unpleasant things along the way.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful immense beach. I went in winter and just seeing the dogs running happily is worth it.
Fantastic experience: The wonderful beach is located between two mountain ranges. The length of the beach is quite impressive, taking about 30 minutes to walk from one end to the other at a brisk pace. The beach is also popular among surfing enthusiasts. There are high waves in fairly calm weather. The city center is not far away.
Fantastic experience: Brutal, wild, relaxing, peaceful, ideal for walking from end to end.. Great for surfing
Fantastic experience: A quiet place in September
Fantastic experience: Beautiful pleasant chill out beach, very calm. Great for swimming.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach with few people, with nearby parking and safe. However, one must be careful with the surfers.
Positive experience: One of the places we visited while in Satoña was this semi-urban beach located on the isthmus that connects the peninsula formed by Monte Buciero with the municipality of Argoños. Its 1800 meters in length stretch between Monte Brusco to the west and the Buciero massif to the east. A quiet beach with fine sand, very clean, not very crowded, the water is quite cold and there is characteristic wind in the area. We parked nearby; there weren't many people, and there is also a paid parking lot.
Positive experience: Santoral, it doesn't have a beach and it's located in Dueño, ideal for surfers.
Fantastic experience: A wonderful beach with crystal clear water, the sand is very fine, super clean.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach and surroundings
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach, fine white sand, waves in its waters.
Fantastic experience: Flat and spacious beach to be with children.
Fantastic experience: It is the largest beach in Santoña. A good place to practice surfing in all its modalities. Sometimes it gets very windy, but there are also sheltered spots where you can sunbathe without being bothered. I like it because being in an environment with a lot of vegetation and trees and not many buildings around, it exudes tranquility. The sand is firm enough to walk or run without getting injured. There is a hotel right by the beach and several places to eat or have a drink. Surf schools and even above the beach on the hillside is the Dueso prison. I have never seen any problems. When they allow us, I go with the dogs and it feels great.
Positive experience: There are a lot of rocks at the height of the Aqualandia aparthotel. They should fix that area.
Fantastic experience: It is an immense beach, with very fine sand, and it almost disappears when the tide comes in. Very famous among those who practice surfing.
Fantastic experience: Quiet beach, very clean and not too crowded. Public parking next to the beach and cheap (€5 all day). Perfect for going with kids or spending the day relaxing. Beach bar nearby with food, drinks, music, and a great atmosphere. Perfect location.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful!!!
Fantastic experience: A great place to surf! Go early or you won't find parking.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach! The place is worth a visit, the majestic prison right next to it gives a really special atmosphere to the place.
Fantastic experience: Almost wild beach yet very accessible! I specify that I went there in September. Surf and sun on the agenda.
Fantastic experience: Immense beach. Ideal with children.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with stunning scenery in the cliff area when the waves crash against the rocks. Pleasant relaxation area when there aren't many people to take a quiet walk admiring the beautiful landscape that this nice and famous beach of the also very visited city of Santoña offers, famous for its extraordinary anchovies from the Cantabrian Sea.
Fantastic experience: Great beach, not very crowded and it is very spacious, ideal for walking along its shore
Fantastic experience: It's big, almost all entrances have places to get a drink, there are showers.
Positive experience: It's perfect for ensuring that the noise from towns or cities doesn't bother you, the only downside is that as a result there are few places to go to the bathroom.
Negative experience: What that beach used to be years ago is now disgusting; there are no bins, it's dirty, and let's not talk about the animals during bathing hours.
Fantastic experience: A beach surprise!!! Beautiful and very quiet. I will come back!!!! Just be careful because the tide rises quickly. Bring only the essentials to go down... because you will see later to go back up!!
Positive experience: I have walked at night since they do not allow animals during the day. From the hotel, it looked calm and quite spacious.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach. With low tide, you exercise to get to the water, so you have to walk to arrive. No crowding of people. Several entry points and beach services. On the right side, there is a picnic area with barbecues. We loved it.
Fantastic experience: Fine sand that doesn't burn, beach with very little slope for children, with lifeguards... highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. 2 km of beach with clean water and green area.
Positive experience: Great beach, very spacious near Santoña. I don't think there are many showers.
Fantastic experience: Amazing. A great discovery. On one side rocks where the sea leaves a small natural pool and on the other end a cave where you can enter at low tide.
Fantastic experience: Beach located in Santoña. Our visit coincided with a volleyball tournament that is held every year in Cantabria and it was fantastic. You can park for free on the street near the beach and there is also a paid parking lot (€3 per day). There are showers and foot showers at the exit. A beach worth repeating.
Fantastic experience: Nice quiet beach to chill. Not crowded at all..favourite sand and beach in the region
Fantastic experience: Even more than the beach itself, which is awesome, I liked a lot all the way to come here, passing the bridges over the marshland. The beach is very wild and it was my first time surfing here. High quality waves altough its quite overcrowed...even in low season. We were like 60 people for 2 peaks.
Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic beach and one of the best i have ever seen. It is my favorite stop in Spain. The cliffs and caves during low tide are Magic. Free parking. Beautiful sand and colour of water. But the caves on the right side are unreal. Go during low tide.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, it's about 1.8km long, perfect for nice walk.
Fantastic experience: We stayed here in an apartement right at the beach for a bit more than a week in April. It's a very nice, very clean beach. Wide and long. Fantastic views left and right. It's the Spain's North, so it's cooler and windier than in the more popular South. But for us the North is more interesting, it has lots of charm and so many different landscapes. Great food as well and lots of beautiful villages. Some days it was pretty windy and the sand blew in our faces, on other days perfectly calm and even warm for April. A great beach to walk on (too cold for us to swim in springtime). Morning and/or afternoons. Even though dogs are officially banned, in the off-season almost everybody had their dog with. Good for us, so our Bulldog was able to have some fun on the beach as well. Even though lots of dogs, the beach was spotless clean. Everybody picks up after their pets and pretty much nobody leaves any trash behind. Please do so as well when visiting. There are plenty of (free) parking lots along the beach. And in Spring, especially in times of Covid-19, there were always lots of empty spaces to park. Even on warm sunny days the numbers of visitors were very low. A lovely, quiet beach. That will change in summertime, judging by other photos. It also seems to be a great spot for surfing and windsurfing. A surf school is even located on the eastern end of the beach (as well as a prison: they must have great views from their cells). A really fantastic beach. Loved it. It was a joy to walk here daily and/or just enjoy the views of it. Also a very safe spot, never felt strange even in the middle of the night. So, if you visit Santona, head for this lovely beach...or try to stay a few nights even.
Positive experience: Best beach to tan and swim. And lots of rock pool to catch fish and crabs for the little ones.
