Comarruga Beach

Information

Comarruga Beach is a beautiful and spacious location, perfect for families and children. The sandy beach is clean and offers a charming river that flows through it, providing a unique experience. Visitors appreciate the natural surroundings and the presence of a thermal water area, which adds to its appeal. You'll find a wide promenade lined with restaurants and cafes, along with ample parking that is free to use.

Highlights:

  • Large and clean sandy beach
  • Ideal for children with shallow waters
  • Thermal water area
  • Variety of restaurants and shops nearby
  • Free parking

However, some users have reported issues regarding cleanliness and over-crowding during peak times. Some areas need better maintenance, and there have been complaints about the presence of litter and the behavior of certain beachgoers.

Considerations:

  • Can become crowded in peak season
  • Maintenance and cleanliness could be improved
  • Need for more trash bins

Positive experience: In winter quite calm, BUT on the promenade many cars and motorcycles travel almost at 100km/h even though the speed limit is 40 km/h. There is no police presence, no radars, and the speed bumps are worn out, they do not help to slow down drivers. Especially on weekends, the promenade turns into a very dangerous racetrack. Be careful with children, elderly people, and dogs. There is a stretch that is a natural park and DOG ACCESS IS NOT ALLOWED for good reasons. If you're going to break the rules, at least leash your furry friend and pick up their waste, as the shore looks like a dog toilet. And I have a dog. The beach is sandy, long, with an empty lifeguard chair out of season and next to the harbor. Many bars and restaurants on the front line and beautiful buildings from the Belle Epoque. A small stream of cold thermal water with fish that, if you stay still for a while, will come to eat the dead skin from your feet. The bottom is full of trash, the town hall should clean it and possibly put cameras. Above all, there are cigarette butts (as usual smokers don't respect anything) but also plenty of plastics and cans. Next to it, there is a playground and machines for exercising, a great idea. Overall, a good place but very improvable. Let's see if the town hall of El Vendrell gets its act together.

Fantastic experience: It is truly a spectacular place, there is a path by the river surrounded by fish, very clean and well-kept. The most wonderful thing is seeing how the sea and the river come together, feeling the change in water temperature, wow, spectacular. I love Comarruga. Its people, the warmth of the adults encouraging you to cross the river, and the food is fabulous. I recommend it, the kids playing with the fish. I love it.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, and the thermal river, which is very cold, gives it a special charm, it reaches the beach and there is a shallow part suitable for babies. It’s a shame I can't show this area, as my child is playing there. I recommend it to you, there's a white area to park throughout the town.

Negative experience: It's a pity. It is beautiful, but every day it is more neglected. Dogs on the sand, bicycles in pedestrian areas, dog poop everywhere, dirty streets, a haven for street vendors. Giving up the blue flag has served to justify the authorities' neglect. As I said, it's a pity...

Positive experience: It's quite okay, at first I liked it, but in mid-July it was very crowded. Unfortunately, there were too many southern people who were getting drunk on whisky and consuming green substances while children were playing next to them. Moreover, they played a song at full volume that went something like: La dum la dum la da, la dum la dum la da… Romania. Other than that, the experience at the beach was fine.

Fantastic experience: We love this beach, there is no blue zone fee and it has fine sand. It has the riuet area that makes it different from the rest, and a promenade with many shops for walking. There is also lifeguard service and sunbeds and awnings. We love it!

I love it.

Fantastic experience: We love this beach. It's the best in the area. We have visited several and we only want to return to this one. Clean and crystal clear waters. Space to lie on the sand without having anyone on top of you. Refreshing water, considering what's available in the area. It's worth it.

Positive experience: Very interesting beach because it has a natural pool that acts like a delta or river where kids can play and adults as well.

Fantastic experience: This was a great beach, if you keep walking less and less people as everyone is a bit lady they all stay near the train station keep walking alongside the beach you'll find great places to enjoy the beach
