Praia Area Longa is a beautiful and authentic beach located in northern Spain, perfect for those seeking tranquility and stunning views. Here, you can enjoy a large sandy area, especially during low tide when the waters are calm and crystal clear. The beach is surrounded by a picturesque pine forest, making it a lovely spot for long walks. Visitors appreciate that it is not overcrowded, providing a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle.
However, there are several challenges to be aware of. The access to the beach has been affected by storms, with unfinished stairs making the descent difficult, especially for children or those with reduced mobility. Additionally, there are issues with debris and algae on the sand, which detracts from the overall beauty of the location. Positive experience: Tiene duchas, parking, mucha piedra redonda, sin arena, lugar tranquilo!
Positive experience: There is a very small area for dogs, separated by a puddle of stagnant water. The access to it is a small steep slope, while a few meters further into the center of the beach, there are stairs and a sign that says not to enter with your pet. We will have to settle for being allowed to pass through there and having a hose to wash off the sand.
Positive experience: Beautiful authentic beach with very few people. It's better to go at low tide to enjoy the sand more. It's a bit 'wild' for those who like peace and quiet. However, be careful as the access is difficult because the end of the stairs is missing. So you have to climb a bit. Parking is next to it.
Positive experience: The access to the beach has been destroyed by a storm. The descent to the sea is very difficult, impossible for children or people with reduced mobility. From what we've been told, there is no intention to spend more on the beach and it will be left as it is. However, the city council should dedicate a few hours a year to removing the trash that the sea brings. This time we have done it as tourists, but it's not the plan. At least clean up.

Negative experience: Podría ser una playa espectacular, con más de un km de arenal, rodeada por un bosque de pinos con un sendero de lado a lado, agua muy limpia, un entorno fantástico,... PERO los accesos están muy mal, en la arena hay muchas ramas, algas secas y basura (plásticos, restos de redes, ...). Está como abandonada, como si no se le hiciese ningún "mantenimiento". Supongo q por eso siempre hay muy poca gente. Además, un vecino ha invadido descaradamente la playa "ampliando" su parcela con una montaña de piedra y hormigón de varios metros de alto sobre la arena. Y para terminar, mucha gente se salta a la torera la prohibición de acceder con perros al arenal en verano entre las 10 y las 21. Y cuidado con advertirselo, porque algunos se encaran y te dan la chapa hasta aburrir, rollo cuñado sabelotodo :(

Negative experience: Podría ser una playa espectacular, con más de un km de arenal, rodeada por un bosque de pinos con un sendero de lado a lado, agua muy limpia, un entorno fantástico,... PERO los accesos están muy mal, en la arena hay muchas ramas, algas secas y basura (plásticos, restos de redes, ...). Está como abandonada, como si no se le hiciese ningún "mantenimiento". Supongo q por eso siempre hay muy poca gente. Además, un vecino ha invadido descaradamente la playa "ampliando" su parcela con una montaña de piedra y hormigón de varios metros de alto sobre la arena. Y para terminar, mucha gente se salta a la torera la prohibición de acceder con perros al arenal en verano entre las 10 y las 21. Y cuidado con advertirselo, porque algunos se encaran y te dan la chapa hasta aburrir, rollo cuñado sabelotodo :(
Fantastic experience: Si vas con marea baja podrás disfrutar de una playa de arena blanca increíble. Aguas muy cristalinas. Si vas con marea alta seguramente solo veas piedras. La escalera para bajar no es completa hasta la arena, sino que toca pasar por las piedras, pero nada de otro mundo sino tienes algún problema motorico.

Fantastic experience: I had a little swim by myself, there was no one at 12:00 in the morning. This beach is very beautiful, next to the Beach of the Cathedrals. I recommend it.

Fantastic experience: This beach is spectacular. It is very large and has a lot, but a lot of space to walk. There is a spectacular rock in the middle that you can circumnavigate at low tide. I recommend going to see it. It has the necessary services.
