Granada Beach
Information
Playa de Granada is a large, spacious beach known for its family-friendly atmosphere and numerous services nearby. Users appreciate the clean water quality and variety of chiringuitos offering local specialties. Many visitors find the beach less crowded compared to other areas, providing a tranquil environment for relaxation. However, some have pointed out the pebbly terrain as a downside, suggesting it may not be ideal for everyone; proper footwear is recommended. Additionally, while parking facilities are available, they can be far from the beach, and the infrastructure could use enhancements to improve accessibility. Overall, it remains a recommended spot for enjoying a day at the beach.

Positive experience: Wide, calm beach with easy access. Wooden walkways, showers, and restaurants at your disposal.
Positive experience: The beaches of Motril are big if they are... but beautiful..... not much gray sand, stones, however there are huge parking lots.
Romano

Fantastic experience: Beach that was not overcrowded, the day I was there the sea was rough and we played with the waves that drag you to the shore and then another one flips you over, very fun in the end they already put up the red flag.

Positive experience: Stretched beach promenade. Ideal for long walks and running rounds. The pebble beach is deserted. Those seeking a lot of peace will feel comfortable here. Nice waves. Several bars and restaurants are located right by the sea.
Positive experience: There are prettier beaches, but I like the openness here. In November, you are almost alone here and can hear the sea rustling. Very good for swimming at 19 degrees and nice beach bars.

Positive experience: I don’t like the rocks. But they have very good beach bars.

Fantastic experience: Very good for walking, even in the winter season, brightness, cleanliness, and tranquility.
Positive experience: Large beach of small pebbles. Facilities for wildlife and flora reserves. Many huts and play areas on the beach. Major downside, dirty.
Negative experience: The dirtiest beach I have seen in Europe. There is not a square meter without cigarette butts and plastic garbage.
Fantastic experience: It's a fairly large beach, with small pebbles, which helps keep the water much cleaner. Good atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: The beaches this year are cleaner than ever, with no seaweed, jellyfish, or plastic, and the water is clear and calm. This year, the beaches of Granada get a 10.

Fantastic experience: A 10 beach
Fantastic experience: You have to come, everything is spectacular, thank you.
Negative experience: Not a nice beach
Positive experience: The beaches of Motril are big if they are... but beautiful..... not much gray sand, stones, however there are huge parking lots.
Fantastic experience: very nice beach
Fantastic experience: Beautiful seafront and wonderful beach with many kiosks to eat local specialties.
Fantastic experience: What to say... you sit on the beach and stay there watching the sea and all your negative thoughts drift away...
Fantastic experience: Pebble beach, long, spacious, and with services nearby. We liked it very much
Positive experience: Pero chulo y chiringuitos tops,
Negative experience: I absolutely dislike it. I got there after a very long night trip, so maybe a tiredness adds something do my dismay. Early in the morning it was a mess. I can not imagine more filthy place. It looked like shanty town's sewage. To be honest i saw only 200-300 m of it vis a vi Camping Playa de Poniente... but it was enough for me. Sand was dirty, with pieces of shattered glass and cigarettes' ends. A sand was not a sand but closer to clay, grey and completely what most people like. When I think of it this place looked like after micro hurricane with a lot of debris. There had to be a big party. I do not know what else could create such a mess. Weather - misty air, so everything sticks to you and you feel dirty 1 hour after shower. Even though the mountains are very close the area is flat, soppy and makes unhealthy impression. I chose this part of Spain's coast because I had read this is undeveloped part. I was not prepared for that kind of mess.
