Fantastic experience: Even on cloudy days it's very appealing. Family-friendly beach with a nice atmosphere, sandy and easily accessible. There are many restaurants nearby with a great vibe.
Fantastic experience: Quiet beach with one of the best sunsets you'll ever see. Currently, you can stay overnight with a camper despite the signage, although always be cautious.
Fantastic experience: This is the most fashionable beautiful sandy beach of the four in Valle Gran Rey! Some high waves up to 1m high. Very good to walk in the water to the Vueltas harbor. Black warm sand that can also get washed away during winter storms. Then you can see huge rolling rumbling stones!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful sunsets at one of the few sandy beaches. Free parking nearby.
Positive experience: Nice black sand beach. Easy swimming and shops nearby. Given the few beaches on the island, this one is not bad. The municipality is less appealing, too touristy.

Positive experience: Such a shame there is no shower on a city beach! Had they placed at least the one to wash off the sand from your feet - it would be better, but of course this beach deserves several shower towers as in other Canarian beaches and a toilet. Other than that - a beautiful sandy beach, safe for kids, with lots of restaurants nearby.
Fantastic experience: Black and fine sand beach, family atmosphere alongside tourists. Very pleasant with shops and nearby restaurants.
Positive experience: It's a shame that the road so close to the sand reduces its width, and during high tide, it significantly decreases the sandy area. There is some current in the area next to the promenade.

Negative experience: Be really careful when swimming. People have drowned here. No lifeguards on duty in winter and dangerous rip currents. It starts as close as the first bigger rock (an estimated 80m off shore). Don't be fooled by the cafes and bars around. 4 people had to get rescued today by other beach-goers with surfboards and one of them died. It looks like a nice beach in the Mediterranean but it isn't. No adequate warning signs.
Fantastic experience: Espectacular playa de arena negra, con vista muy cercana a la montaña justo detrás. De vez en cuando venia un bloque de olas un poco más grandes que hacían las delicias y risas de todos. Sobre todo playa muy tranquila para familias, ya que es playa de baño asistido, y en todo momento los socorristas están súper atentos a todo lo que sucede, vimos varias actuaciones por su parte, y sólo queda felicitarlos. Incluso ayudaron a alguna persona mayor a bañarse un rato llevándola de la mano.

Positive experience: Such a shame there is no shower on a city beach! Had they placed at least the one to wash off the sand from your feet - it would be better, but of course this beach deserves several shower towers as in other Canarian beaches and a toilet. Other than that - a beautiful sandy beach, safe for kids, with lots of restaurants nearby.
Positive experience: The beach is very spacious and there is a lot of local life. What I didn't like is that the water was somewhat dirty and there were many cigarette butts and small pieces of plastic on the sand. It is not the beach's problem but rather the irresponsible people that are abundant everywhere.

Negative experience: When we were there, there were high waves and very dangerous currents that should not be underestimated! For swimming, the calm Playa de Vueltas is more suitable.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place to stroll... whether on foot, by car, or by bike... very close to the port... lovely streets with friendly and calm people. If you're going to La Gomera, don't miss visiting it.
