Positive experience: Very spacious sandy beach. Nice access to the sea. Unfortunately, there are no showers and toilets nearby.
Fantastic experience: A beautiful, large well-maintained section of beach. Due to its size, it feels deserted. There is no shade here, but there is always wind :-) To the delight of the beachgoers, there are also no beach vendors here because of the size; they would wear themselves out. If you plan a beach day, take everything: umbrella, sunscreen, plenty of drinks; the way to the road is long.
Fantastic experience: Fine sandy beach with sunbed and umbrella service, toilets, spacious and very easy to access as it is located in the city.

Positive experience: A great beach!!! I was pleasantly surprised, it is a wide and long beach for nice walks, super quiet, the water with a very pleasant temperature in mid-October. There are nearby bars and also the option to rent sun loungers.
Fantastic experience: Volcanic sand, dark, not crowded, it's hard to keep the umbrella with the wind, the water is logically cooler than the Mediterranean, the temperature is similar to the Cantabrian Sea or the south of the peninsula.
Fantastic experience: Enorme playa, nada masificada, con fácil aparcamiento. Arena oscura en el principio y dorada y fina en la parte del agua. Agua cristalina y no tan fría como en otras zonas. Es ventosa, como casi todas en las islas. Tiene los típicos semicírculo de piedra volcánica. Ideal para los que no quieren agobios y darse un buen baño.

Fantastic experience: Super clean beach, not overcrowded, a very nice bathing bay. Great promenade with excellent restaurants, tapas bar, and supermarket.
Negative experience: The water is not clean and there is no serenity. Being in Lanzarote, there are better options. The only good thing is that there are many shops and restaurants nearby, as well as sunbed and umbrella service (€10.5 for 2 people).

Positive experience: Fantástica playa de arena fina. Apta para el baño y con socorristas. Hay alquiler de hamacas y parasoles.
Negative experience: Es una playa muy abierta arena limpia pero con mucho aire y la entrada para bañistas en el agua no es muy buena pues hay muchas corrientes en servicios pocas hamacas y falta de socorristas no la recomiendo mucho las hay bastante mejores en Puerto del carmen

Fantastic experience: Wonderful, huge beach with a great surf! You get lost and can turn off wonderfully there!

Fantastic experience: Traumhaft schöner Strand zum Abhängen baden und schnorcheln
Fantastic experience: Immer wieder toll. Vor allem mit Kinder. Ruhig aber alles vorhanden was benötigt wird. Sauberer Strand und das Meer einfach toll. Zum schnorcheln gut geeignet auf der linken Seite zum Flughafen.

Fantastic experience: Un coin de paradis! La plage de sable noir est vaste et propre. Il y a de petits murets en pierre de lave sèche en forme d'arc de cercle pour se protéger du léger vent et procuré un peu d'intimité. Après avoir passé les premières vagues, vous aurez une mer transparente. Il est possible de faire du snorking pour profiter de la diversité des bancs de poissons. Le soir, vous aurez peut-être la chance de tomber sur des répétitions de cours de danse ou de yogas :) La promenade est éclairée le soir pour les balades au clair de lune.
Fantastic experience: Oktober 2022, windige und ruhige Tage, sonnige und bedeckte. Durchschnittlich 29°C (+/- 6°C). Flacher, sauberer und dunkler Sandstrand mit wenigen, aber sichtbaren Felsen. Taucherbrille für die Fische im glasklaren Wasser mitnehmen. 2 Liegen mit Schirm: 10,50 €/Tag, Ebbe/Flut: ca. 3m Höhenunterschied
Fantastic experience: Lunghissima spiaggia sabbiosa di sabbia dorata vicina a diversi servizi, bar, supermarket, parcheggio libero ed inoltre una parte è attrezzata con ombrelloni a noleggio (10,50€ due sdraio e ombrellone) si trova non molto lontano dall'areoporto ma gli aerei si sentono molto poco. Non ha lo stesso fascino selvaggio di playa papagayo e le altre vicine ma di sicuro ha tutte le comodità che la non si trovano.

Positive experience: Wide beach that’s quite windy but very quiet if you like that. Two beds and a parasol is €10,50 with cash only but you get that for the whole day until 5pm. The water is beautiful but a bit rocky and not completely clear with some seaweed and etc but that can’t be helped. Probably some nicer beaches on the island but it was nice to just lie in the sun on a quiet beach.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic beach with plenty of space between each other when on the sun beds. €5.25 per sun bed which I didn't think was bad. We have been everyday and it doesn't get overly busy either. Due to the winds they have protective barriers to prevent the sand flying everywhere.

Positive experience: Nice beach but be careful on windy days: the sand flies away and the beach becomes a little less pleasant. There are a few small stone shelters to protect yourself from the wind, but they are quickly occupied. Paid sun loungers.

Positive experience: My previous review was taken down…but be careful you don’t get ripped off by the sun bed attendant on this beach. He overcharged us and marked the bed rather than give us a ticket…we found out when another attendant charged us the correct amount and supplied a ticket. We were overcharged for our first 3 days here. The beach itself is lovely.

Negative experience: I paid €22 for staying in two sun beds with my husband. We asked and they close at 5:30pm every day. The Spanish guy who owned the place kicked us off 1 hour before they were supposed to close. The guy told us: 'I don’t care you feel scummed, go to review us anytime.' We don’t understand how this place is still open.

Negative experience: Today, March 30, 2024, I felt discriminated against, mistreated, and out of place. I am in Spain, my country, and the person who was working at 4:00 PM at the sunbeds on Playa del Pocillo kicked us out, even though they were supposed to close at 5:00 PM. While that may be understandable given the weather circumstances, it does not justify saying 'you Spanish people should be'. It's shameful that a person with such little education is working in a public-facing role representing the Cabildo of Lanzarote. With all the love we have for this island. I am leaving this review because the worker himself asked me to do it, challenging me since there was no other means of complaint. CABILD, react! We love you Lanzarote.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. Not many toilets though. The beach is clean and well looked after. Sunbeds are for hire ten euro with umbrella for the day or even half the day. Lots of shops and places to eat. Marcos bar is well worth a visit. Good live singers. Great sculptures by the known artist Cesar Manrique. Los Pocillos is quieter than Puerto de Carmen which we preferred.
Fantastic experience: We stayed at Playa de los Pocillos for a week! We arrived on New Year's Eve and the hotel was perfect, the food was great and always so much to choose from. The rooms were really nice and the beds were very comfy, we stayed in room 114 and it was situated perfectly, I really couldn't find fault even if I wanted to. Open the gate and cross the road and we were on the beach, and a couple of minutes' walk from there and we were on the strip (I love to shop so it was great). We made some great memories and I'd like to thank each and every one of the staff for making our stay so memorable. Would we come back? Yes, yes, yes. We have stayed in a few RIU hotels now and wherever life takes us next, if there's a RIU hotel we will definitely book it. Ashley & Billy from London.

Fantastic experience: Excellent beach in the central area of Puerto del Carmen. Good access to the beach and easy to get into the sea. However, there is an area (northern part of the beach) where there are some considerable-sized concrete blocks "hidden" under the water, and very close to the sand. Be very careful with them... Two sunbeds + one umbrella cost €10.50. There are many bars and restaurants nearby. I recommend it.
Fantastic experience: Nice, albeit windy beach, one should definitely bring something for sun protection, preferably something stable, as almost nothing holds up due to the wind. The wide beach provides no shade either. Water is super pleasant, all in all a very beautiful, quiet, and large beach. Parking is right in front, shops and restaurants are nearby, a trip there is worth it.

Positive experience: Lovely beach and some decent local shops with bargains to be had. Bars and restaurants are also quite plentiful and diverse. Plenty of nice hotels to choose from in this location, many all inclusive. One of my favourite things is it is only a ten minute transfer from the airport. It is also walkable range from Playa Honda and some other beautiful beaches.

Positive experience: Great beach it's very clean and they take good care ot it. If u wanna lay down they cost 8 euros per person. But normally you don't need them just take a big blanket. That's enough. It's very windy so the sand will get everywhere just prepair a bit. Like bring a bottle of water to clean your feet afterwards ☺️
