Fantastic experience: Accessible, comfortable beach with all services. It has black sand. There is parking and a dining area.
Fantastic experience: Fine black sand beach with small pebbles, but very pleasant and comfortable. It has shower services, sun loungers, and I even saw a beach library mailbox, which has a small variety of books to read and then return to the same place. There is a very nice promenade to take a walk and enjoy the views. Nearby free parking.
Positive experience: This beach was really pretty. Flying a drone here is not possible because it is in a restricted flight zone. I run into this quite often. It seems as though all of the pretty beaches are very close to an airport or in the flight path. There are bathrooms available at this beach, and it is close to the ship port. Many rock formations and black volcanic sand.
Fantastic experience: Los Cancajos Beach is the beach that was closest to our hotel, the H10 Playa Taburiente, just below, which we accessed via a walk. It is a black sand beach of volcanic origin (like the island), with stones and rocks along the shore, where the water is clear and warm. There was also a Red Cross station and showers with foot-wash facilities for accessing the beach. Personally, it was one of the beaches I liked the most, and I highly recommend the Los Cancajos area, very close to the airport and the capital.
Fantastic experience: Fine black sand beach and small stones. Pleasant surroundings with easy access. It has shower services. There is a sunbed service on the beach. Comfortable, nice beach. Nearby free parking.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, spacious with a coastline and a walkway on the volcanic rock or soft black beach. Many small restaurants, you are just spoiled for choice. Parking nearby the beaches.
Positive experience: The best beach for children on the east side of the island. It is accessible, there are sunbed and umbrella services, showers, and a lifeguard. It has different coves and a small natural pool next to the kiosk 'El Pulpo', making it ideal for children. However, it is very neglected by the relevant authorities, as being one of the most attractive beaches on the island, they should clean it every day to remove the stones and flatten the shore, since when you enter the water, you sink into the sand, and there is a very steep height change. They should also put up a playground for the children and do more activities.
Fantastic experience: This is a lovely beach with good facilities - toilets, showers, lockers etc. The sand is black and coarse volcanic sand. My husband and I tried snorkelling here and saw some fish. There are lots of rock pools where you can see crabs, shellfish etc.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, with black sand.
Positive experience: Black sand beach, but with many stones and rocks, it is small but it feels good at this time of year.

Fantastic experience: The beach(es) of the place all have black sand and were artificially created years ago. This beach is separated multiple times by rocks in the sea. (So it consists of several parts) The rocks and the artificial breakwaters ensure that the sand is not 'pulled' into the sea. There is often strong wind, coming from the southwest. In some places it quickly gets deep, while in other spots it goes shallower into the water. Many lounging areas are available for bathers! The beach is also used a lot by locals.

Fantastic experience: Nice beach with good snorkelling on the right hand side (looking towards the sea) by the rocks. I saw red parrot fish, trumpet fish, puffer fish plus shoals of smaller fish. Stony, so beach shoes are needed if you are going in the water. There are restaurants and shops quite near including a dive shop.
Positive experience: For me, it was a great contrast to the rest of the island. There were many facilities, hotels, apartments, and also many people. I didn't even experience that in the capital. A kiosk right on the beach, where it was all crowded, so we walked back a bit to a restaurant and had paella there. Beautiful protected beach that doesn't get high waves. Some snorkelers were also there and even diving groups. And we had wonderful weather and a great view of Santa Cruz and the mountains. Simply beautiful!
Fantastic experience: There are 4 areas divided by rocks with different levels of exposure to the waves and sea conditions. There is a restaurant on the beach and others on the boardwalk.
Fantastic experience: Great beach, divided into three sections, all with showers, some with sun loungers (fee) no restrooms. The beach restaurant has very friendly service and super sangria.
Fantastic experience: Review number 100 i cannot believe so few reviews this beach is amazing, several nice restaurants nearby and access to a kids beach area and space for wheelchairs. Update as i had no idea there was swimming equipment and beach equipment for disabled. Great idea

Fantastic experience: Very nice beach and there are lifeguards
Fantastic experience: I didn't go swimming, but the beach is beautiful, the facilities are good and there is also a lifeguard present. Moreover, you can explore the whole area via a nice path.
Fantastic experience: I was surprised, the sand does not hurt, it is not necessary to wear flip-flops or water shoes. There is a lifeguard, some shade, and several swimming areas. At the shore, you can snorkel on the surface and it is full of fish.

Fantastic experience: Sehr schöner Strand. Meistens hat man sehr viel Platz. Bei Kindern ist vor allem die kleine Bucht unterhalb des Rettungsschwimmerpostens sehr beliebt.

Fantastic experience: Especially recommended in high waves. Here everyone can find a nice spot for themselves + it's wonderful for swimming + snorkeling. Also, there's delicious coffee + cake...
Fantastic experience: Great beach, not overcrowded. Fantastic for swimming and snorkeling. There is a changing room and showers. Free parking is nearby. Additionally, there is a lifeguard.
Fantastic experience: If you are a snorkeling enthusiast, you will enjoy it. Don't hesitate to swim close to the concrete blocks if there is not much current, there is little depth but abundant wildlife.

Positive experience: Small place with a beautiful beach, but there is nothing to do... and during the time we were there, it was cloudy all day... (first 2 weeks of June).
Fantastic experience: Unfortunately, we couldn't make the most of it. The weather wasn't on our side.

Fantastic experience: A set of beaches in the area with the same name, perfect for all days.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach and there are lifeguards
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful, you can enjoy with family and friends, it is located in Breña Baja.
Fantastic experience: I will remember those views and how well we ate at that beach... what a shame that the good things don't last long!!
Positive experience: This beach was really pretty. Flying a drone here is not possible because it is in a restricted flight zone. I run into this quite often. It seems as though all of the pretty beaches are very close to an airport or in the flight path. There are bathrooms available at this beach, and it is close to the ship port. Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach!!
Negative experience: There is no designated area for pets. A common issue on the beaches of La Palma.

Negative experience: Normal beach with black sand.
Fantastic experience: I didn't go swimming, but the beach is beautiful, the facilities are good and there is also a lifeguard present. Moreover, you can explore the whole area via a nice path.
Fantastic experience: Black fine sand between basalt rocks. Protected and little visited, worth it. Sufficient parking available. A few small shops in the area, gastronomy. Wheelchair accessible access. Showers etc. also available.
Fantastic experience: The Cravallos, or as we used to say, the Carachos, has become quieter.
Fantastic experience: Small sandy beach that is very pleasant and safe with clear water. Not many people at the beginning of January.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly beach. It's great for families with children. The accessible pathway is really touching.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful and quiet.
Fantastic experience: Calm relaxed holiday destination. Quiet black beach.

Fantastic experience: Great beach, not overcrowded. Fantastic for swimming and snorkeling. There is a changing room and showers. Free parking is nearby. Additionally, there is a lifeguard.
Fantastic experience: I really loved this place. A pleasant surprise. We only went for a little while to see it, but I'm sure it must be really nice. However, you can tell it's a tourist area since there are many tourist apartments and hotels. I don't know how it will be in summer.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful, spacious with a coastline and a walkway on the volcanic rock or soft black beach. Many small restaurants, you are just spoiled for choice. Parking nearby the beaches.
Positive experience: I don't like this black sand, but the place is very nice
Positive experience: Well maintained. Black sand. Close to the island's capital and the airport.
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful, clean and calm beach
Positive experience: Lovely place but it seems to be the mass tourism pick of the islands. So it looks busy even in a dead season.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. The bar is also highly recommended. Parking is available, although not many spaces. Showers are available, and I personally recommend entering the water with water shoes.
Fantastic experience: I really liked it
Positive experience: Beautiful beach with lots of rocks.
Positive experience: calm, clean and beautiful views
Fantastic experience: Beach with many sports to practice
Fantastic experience: Nice beach, one of the best on the island
Positive experience: I liked it a lot. Black and fine sand. Many crabs and fish. In the middle, there's a small beach with no tide for the kids that is very nice and beautiful. You should go in the morning because later that small beach merges with the large one. The sand comes off very easily with water or even when it dries.
Fantastic experience: If you are a snorkeling enthusiast, you will enjoy it. Don't hesitate to swim close to the concrete blocks if there is not much current, there is little depth but abundant wildlife.
Fantastic experience: Black sand beach, with showers and if you are lucky and they are free you can have a beach umbrella. The water is just as clear as in other islands but the feeling is different because the water is black. But I liked it a lot.
Fantastic experience: A paradise place that is not flooded by tourists.
Fantastic experience: Ideal beach to disconnect and enjoy the tranquility
Fantastic experience: The beach of my childhood, somewhat renovated with its improvements and worseness, but it is still wonderful.
Fantastic experience: I was surprised, the sand does not hurt, it is not necessary to wear flip-flops or water shoes. There is a lifeguard, some shade, and several swimming areas. At the shore, you can snorkel on the surface and it is full of fish.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach near my hotel. The water is super cold. The shower water came out much better and not so cold. There is always a yellow or red flag due to the strong waves.
Fantastic experience: Nice beach, calm waters, and lots of fish. Close to the airport. Ideal for taking a swim before catching your flight back. There are showers, so you can rinse off the salt.
Fantastic experience: This is a lovely beach with good facilities - toilets, showers, lockers etc. The sand is black and coarse volcanic sand. My husband and I tried snorkelling here and saw some fish. There are lots of rock pools where you can see crabs, shellfish etc.
Fantastic experience: Awesome beschikbaar, famille friendly and not to busy
Fantastic experience: Nice beach that you could reach with a 30 min walk from st Cruz
Fantastic experience: Review number 100 i cannot believe so few reviews this beach is amazing, several nice restaurants nearby and access to a kids beach area and space for wheelchairs. Update as i had no idea there was swimming equipment and beach equipment for disabled. Great idea
Fantastic experience: Beautiful black dance beach, location is great, a 5 min drive from the capital, and due to this, the beach was very quiet without the typical hop-off-hop-on cruise travelers.
Fantastic experience: The best beach in the island. No question. Remote yet accesible, the beach is divided in small bays so you can go to one mostly only for you. Rocks and sand, clean water and you have the pizza in the island just ahead as you leave. Can you ask for more?
Fantastic experience: Great beach, can’t believe it’s sandwiched between the main city and the airport. It’s really a series of small bays each with a different view, interesting rock formations and a nice combination of sunshine and shade. Although it’s on the east of the island the sun doesn’t leave the beach until at least 6pm. Great facilities including showers and restaurants/ice cream nearby, but doesn’t feel too touristy at all. Recommend a visit!
Fantastic experience: Lovely quiet beach. Go to nearby El Pulpo for great potatoes and garlic prawns
