Fantastic experience: We booked a holiday apartment right on the beach and are very satisfied. During the day and in the evenings, you can stroll nicely and eat in the relatively many restaurants at very fair prices. The beach is clean, a fine sandy beach. There are relatively few tourists in the area and many locals who are very friendly. We will vacation here again.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful city beach, parking nearby
Positive experience: This town is mostly is mostly populated by locals which makes it a great location if you want to feel more of the authentic Canary Islands. Bars and restaurants close to the beach, and there's a small port as well. Just outside town there's a small industrial park with a few warehouses and businesses. Sand is not as yellow/white as you may be used with other beaches on the island.
Positive experience: Nice town good clean beach plenty of cafeterias along the beach .the footpath is nice and wide for the stroll .must come away from the beach and explore the town with its murals on sides of building to fountains and squares.lovely

Fantastic experience: Huge public beach but very well equipped. Fine volcanic black sand, so bring your flip-flops or you'll burn your feet. Perfect public shower to end the day.

Fantastic experience: Black sand beach with typical services (lifeguard, bathrooms...). Very quiet, because it is in a non-tourist village with local people.
Negative experience: Playa con bandera azul que no cumple con los estándares para serlo. Las prohibiciones indicadas no se vigilan, permitiendo la entrada de perros, la arena está llena de colillas, no se limpia adecuadamente, pudiendo encontrar a diario plásticos varios, latas, etc. La actuación de los socorristas lamentable, alertados por varias personas sobre un posible peligro de un padre y una niña en una embarcación hinchable que se habían alejado fuera de la zona de baño y que la habían abandonado al no poder regresar, ponen en duda el aviso en principio y después bajan de la garita tranquilamente andando para dirigirse al agua, cuando quisieron llegar, el padre había llegado con la niña a la orilla afortunadamente.

Positive experience: Magnífica playa de arena marron-negra con mucha amplitud y larga, dispone de parque infantil en la propia playa, también esta dotada para todo tipo de deportes a realizar sobre la arena, tiene los servicios cerca, y un paseo marítimo muy atractivo, dispone de dos puestos de socorristas, y hay determinados espacios como plazas de aparcamiento. La marea es un poco fuerte así que hay que tener mucha precaución si se va con niños ya que es una playa abierta y de cierto oleaje.

Negative experience: Ayer bajé a la playa de Gran Tarajal por última vez. No vale la pena estarse cogiendo nervios cuando la idea es disfrutar un rato del sol y las olas del mar. Por abreviar, la playa está hecha un asco. Allá donde mires hay plásticos de todos los colores y tamaños, colillas a cientos, diría que a miles, latas, palos de chupachups, cáscaras de pipas y pistachos, cartones, periódicos volando, más plásticos. Y lo peor es la desidia total de la gente, la falta de civismo y educación. Ayer vi con mis propios ojos a un señor mayor tirando el cigarro encendido desde la avenida a la arena, ¡donde jugaban unos niños! Me fijé que ya no ondea la bandera azul y lo entiendo. Una verdadera pena. Gran Tarajal es un sitio con mucho potencial, pero mucho tiene que cambiar la situación para que vuelva a bajar a la playa.

Positive experience: Small beach, but not crowded. Very clean. No stones, just sand. We tried snorkeling, but there is nothing interesting in this water, it is too clean ;)

Positive experience: Estuvimos en Playa Negra. Justo coincidió con la celebración de la semana de la juventud, actos deportivos entre ellos, el partido de fútbol casadas contra solteras. Vaya tarde más divertida, en una playa con gente local y sin guiris. El ambientazo festivo y la cordialidad y trato acogedor de sus gentes! Fue una tarde maravillosa. Gracias!!!

Fantastic experience: Spiaggetta di sabbia fine di color grigio, diversa dalle classiche spiagge bianchissime caratteristiche dell'isola; tenuta molto bene, ci sono reti da calcio e da pallavolo e installazioni per bambini. L'oceano è quasi sempre calmo essendo racchiuso tra una collinetta ed il muro del Porto.

Fantastic experience: We really liked the small-town vibe of this city and the beach itself, that we have been here twice already. Wide, large beach. There is no crowd. In late January/early February, it happened that we were alone.

Fantastic experience: Very nice beach with a small promenade and above all a lot of space. I rate it 5 stars here because there are still some nice ones in Fuerte, but the overall not overcrowded place makes it special. Swimming, delicious ice cream, many Italian pizzerias along the ample promenade. If you approach via Puerto, you can also take a look at it. Don't get confused, go around the one-way street through the town completely. Just drive through, at the very end is the harbor, next to it is the beach within walking distance. Have fun!

Fantastic experience: I recommend it! It's black sand! It's beautiful and you enjoy good prices in the local shops, like the places to eat and the little store to buy groceries. I love Fuerteventura; it's my second home!

Fantastic experience: A pleasant walk, with lively leisure spots. Very well lit. You find many monuments at street level, representing ancient traditions, such as the tomato plant, customs and children's games. The marine information through a skeleton of an aquatic being, with strange formations and 2 teeth. Or the dimension of this little-known one, the Ziphius. A place as warm and peaceful as its inhabitants. This is Fuerteventura.

Fantastic experience: Great urban beach with black sand and crystal clear waters. It has a promenade with several restaurants and bars, although I like it because it's not the typical super touristy place like Morro Jable. Here you see many locals on the beach, on the promenade, in the streets, and in the shops. There are no resorts or large hotels, and for me, that's a plus. In summary, it's a nice place to enjoy a quiet day at the beach, although as a town it doesn't have anything special, except for a large fishing port.

Positive experience: A lovely little town with an excellent beach, some nice cafes and an old port. We visited on a weekday during October half term and the town was extremely quiet. We ate at a small cafe on the square ran by 2 young ladies that sold great reasonably priced food with great service. They couldn't speak any English and we couldn't speak Spanish but that wasn't an issue. Excellent service.

Fantastic experience: Gran tarajal is one of the six municipalities that make up Fuerteventura, unlike many other parts of the island it is not a major tourist destination, this means it is quieter and more relaxed, but always has a number of tourists to keep the town busy and profitable, it has beautiful beaches of mixed black and white sands. We found great restaurants and bars, shops etc but also the peace to just relax. The apartment we rented for our stay was just perfect,all in Gran Tarajal is a must visit if you want to know this island and its culture better. ( I will add reviews so shops restaurants separately.
Positive experience: I love this beach, lovely black sand cleaned every day. Good spot for children and you can swim in the sea. There are a variety of restaurants on the front watch out for the added extras on the bill, in one a stale roll cost me a euro which I wasn't impressed with so won't be going there again.

Positive experience: Big black sandy beach. With a long promenade to go for walks. Lots of locals, a few restaurants and bars on the promenade, friendly and not at all commercial. If you are after a peaceful holiday, this is the place for you. You can catch the sun rise, if you are up early enough. A lot of walls have cool murales, some are unfortunately fading. There's a clown festival in October, called Tran Tran, which brings in a lot tourists.
Fantastic experience: This is a very nice black sand beach, it is a safe, quiet, peaceful place to relax. Surrounded by friendly local people and have very smile.
Fantastic experience: Free parking all round the small town, all close to the beach, toilets are in the playhouse / theatre / police station.. and a beach shower outside on the promanade. Clean, nice cafes and remember its a working port town, locals use all facillities not many tourists ...(good point..lol) a real Spanish feeling of a small coastal town, worth a visit.

Positive experience: Close to the town and plenty of locals come here but the water was pretty muddy when we visited. The nice dark sand is worth a barefoot walk though! Would primarily recommend to families with small children who will be happy with splashing on the shore.
Fantastic experience: Pretty little town. Very clean.not commercialised. Front line restaurants and cafes facing the sea, inexpensive. No high line hotels.a small port with yachts and small fishing boats. Plenty of seating areas. Quite a few small but up-market shops that were inexpensive. Very peaceful.
