Positive experience: The direct access to the sea is good, no stones or rocks in the water. The beach could be better maintained. Tourists often behave like pigs!!!! There are also areas for improvement. S. Los Cristianos.
Negative experience: A very nice place to walk, sunbathe, etc., as long as you don’t have any mishaps, like being robbed, something apparently very common, you see it when you go to report it and they tell you at the police station that it's better not to since there is a queue of several hours. The local police are worse, as they don’t even answer the phone, and when they do after the umpteenth call, it's to transfer you to lost and found, which no one knows when they are available, because they don’t answer the phone. They must be very busy, although I don’t know where, because you don’t see them on the beaches. Maybe that's why there are so many pickpockets (that’s what they said).
Fantastic experience: This is definitely the place to be if you rent something in the area. The beach is large, there are many free showers, and there are plenty of sunbeds available. We paid €12 for two sunbeds and one umbrella. However, it was difficult to find parking; in the end, we parked 30 minutes walking from the beach. Swimming here is delightful. What we found strange was that there was no toilet paper in the restrooms. This may be due to clogs, but it is not ideal for women, so it's handy to bring some yourself. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby where you can buy anything you need. We were next to a large, covered wooden terrace, which is a nice place for people with disabilities to stay in the afternoon. Huge compliments for this, all praise for the lifeguards who help these people so well.
Positive experience: Variety of shops, bars, restaurants,... During busy periods, it is not always easy to find parking in the area. Worth a visit!
Negative experience: There's nothing here. A crowded resort with great difficulty in finding a parking space. If you want to spend any amount of money, this is the place for you. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: I loved it, a beach for surfing, the water is a beautiful blue color. Also, since it's stony, the little sand there is is black and volcanic, so it doesn't stick to the skin. The only thing I didn't like is the rocks in the sea with the waves.
Negative experience: The beach is mainly made of stones and rocks, a nice sandy beach is a few hundred meters further north. Here, there are only surfers in the water learning on not very high waves.
Fantastic experience: The best way to experience the black volcanic beach sand of Tenerife from one of these beaches. Great beaching, beautiful sun, amazing waves. A definite must if you decide to visit.

Fantastic experience: Free sandy beach with lounge chairs available, bar, restrooms and showers, great for spending a day at the beach.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach with fine sand. Very busy but it's easy to find a spot.
Negative experience: Beach that does not correspond at all to the photos. Very disappointed. The white sand simply covers the ground. Lots of pebbles. Swimming is limited.
Positive experience: We didn't like this beach, it was all stones except for one area that was very crowded.

Fantastic experience: Place visited in the evening to reach a restaurant. Place served by many commercial activities such as bars, restaurants, and disco pubs. Many hotels are easily accessible for those arriving by plane at Tenerife South, which is about 10 km away.
Positive experience: The beach does not match some descriptions. Nice area to walk but impossible to stay on the beach as there is no sandy area, only stones. There are several bars, restaurants, and hotels in the area and parking spaces for the car.
Fantastic experience: A beach to enjoy the sun and swim, many shops and restaurants, and a nightlife area, cheap drinks and cocktails, and free entry discopubs.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place, sandy and pebble beach (2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella €9), lifeguard station, showers and toilets, bar and restaurants as well as a mini market. Beautiful seafront promenade.
Fantastic experience: Playa de las Americas is one of the most famous beach in Tenerife , was not so crowded while I stayed there in the middle of September. Dark sand , Funny Lifeguards , Relaxed People makes all the experience good and beautiful. Advised for sure ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: The perfect destination for surfing, whether beginner or expert, the beach offers 3 distinct spots depending on your level.
Negative experience: Beware of local surfers, warning to the town hall and the police. The local surfers are verbally and physically violent with nice tourist surfers. Our 16-year-old son had a surfboard intentionally thrown in his face to make him leave the spot. Great, locals, the waves are yours and tourists won't come back.... Remind me, what does this island live on? Keep your waves.
Fantastic experience: Ideal spot for surfing
Positive experience: A good place if you want to surf, but not for swimming.
Negative experience: Stretch of beach for surfers or aspiring ones (they train there). The beach is not sandy and without the right footwear, it is difficult to approach the water. It is possible to rent sunbeds and an umbrella (€9), but if you want to enjoy beach life, the location is completely not recommended.

Fantastic experience: Tourist location situated in the Arona area in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain, with a beach and a famous promenade known for its beautiful accommodations, nightlife spots, nightclubs, attractions, entertainment, restaurants, and shops that characterize this beach as one of the most popular and frequented by tourists from all over the world.
Positive experience: The most famous and commercial beach in Tenerife, a perfect place to start beginner surfing. Many surf schools in the area and along the beach are various bars and restaurants. I give it 4 stars because, for my taste, it is too chaotic and commercial, and in the evening there is a lot of activity.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place for those looking for sea, fun, relaxation, excursions, and much more.

Fantastic experience: Nice beach ⛱️
Fantastic experience: The perfect destination for surfing, whether beginner or expert, the beach offers 3 distinct spots depending on your level.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, I really recommend!
Negative experience: A very nice place to walk, sunbathe, etc., as long as you don’t have any mishaps, like being robbed, something apparently very common, you see it when you go to report it and they tell you at the police station that it's better not to since there is a queue of several hours. Positive experience: Beach ok, been to a lot better.
Negative experience: Too many people and the beach is not exceptional at all, and the place is not clean.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, nice to spend the day there, sun loungers at a good price
Fantastic experience: This is definitely the place to be if you rent something in the area. The beach is large, there are many free showers, and there are plenty of sunbeds available. Positive experience: As described, it seems like going to a paradise, but when we arrived, we found only an anonymous beach that was not very well maintained. The island certainly offers much more charming beaches. It's more suitable for young people looking for nightlife rather than for families.
Positive experience: Very beautiful and friendly beach, restaurant, bar, shop but the sea is dangerous due to the big waves.
Fantastic experience: Free sandy beach with lounge chairs available, bar, restrooms and showers, great for spending a day at the beach.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. Perfect weather.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach with fine sand. Very busy but it's easy to find a spot.
Negative experience: Beach that does not correspond at all to the photos. Very disappointed. The white sand simply covers the ground. Lots of pebbles. Swimming is limited.

Remind me, what does this island live on? Keep your waves.
Positive experience: We didn't like this beach, it was all stones except for one area that was very crowded.
Positive experience: We walked around there and it was fine, a tourist beach.
Fantastic experience: Third year running going there, loads to do, fantastic food and plenty to drink
Negative experience: Beach without sand, only rocks and dirt, I don't understand its fame. To make matters worse, the entire area is a tourist trap, very dirty and full of drunken tourists.
Fantastic experience: It is one of my favorite beaches, I do not recommend it on Sundays because it is crowded.
Fantastic experience: A very nice beach!
Fantastic experience: Ideal spot for surfing
Positive experience: Not really impressed by this beach, much better beaches about 5-10 min walk to the Troya beach or Adeje.
Positive experience: Wonderful water that begins to recede around 6 PM due to the tide. Very beautiful pebble beach, as soon as you leave this area you don't find sand but rather soil. Attached to many small places where you can have a cocktail or eat. You can see the sunset on the island in front.
Fantastic experience: Always very crowded, good services and a good presence of lifeguards, I recommend it.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach not overcrowded
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful.. equipped beach and honest prices for umbrellas and sunbeds.. definitely not like in Italy.
Fantastic experience: one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen!
Positive experience: A good place if you want to surf, but not for swimming.
Fantastic experience: For me, the best beach....super atmosphere, proximity to bars and cafes.....I have visited this beach the most often....
Positive experience: Spacious beach, swimming shoes would be good
Fantastic experience: Paradise
Fantastic experience: There are too many tourists; there are quieter beaches.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful and clean
Fantastic experience: Beautiful clean tourist spot with an active nightlife in summer. Furthermore, the sunsets over the sea towards La Gomera are really great.
Negative experience: Honda Beach which you definitely don't want to visit. Many reviews show beaches in the area, not specifically this beach. ♂️♂️ But as a plus, cheaper loungers than on the surrounding beaches.
Avoid.

Negative experience: Currently (end of June) it's a tragedy. There's little sand, just stones and it's dirty. It's not even worth coming. Nearby there are much better beaches with sand and a gentle entry into the sea.
Fantastic experience: Place visited in the evening to reach a restaurant. Place served by many commercial activities such as bars, restaurants, and disco pubs. Many hotels are easily accessible for those arriving by plane at Tenerife South, which is about 10 km away.
Negative experience: This beach does not exist... only rocks and stones, no lifeguard as it is very dangerous
Negative experience: The beach is nothing like in the photos from Google or blogs on the internet. It's disappointing. I recommend going to other beaches in the area like Playa de las Vistas.
Fantastic experience: Good place to surf!!
Fantastic experience: Excellent beach and surroundings
Fantastic experience: Very busy commercialised area but we still loved it. Plenty of places to eat and drink very either cheaply or more expensive, take your choice
Positive experience: The beach does not match some descriptions. Nice area to walk but impossible to stay on the beach as there is no sandy area, only stones. There are several bars, restaurants, and hotels in the area and parking spaces for the car.
Negative experience: IMMENSE HOTEL ZONE in the south of Tenerife. Make sure to book a good hotel with nice pools because the beach, which was artificial, is all eroded by the sea and they have added pebbles to a large part of the beach so that it does not affect the promenade. In short, nothing to do with the pictures shown on the internet.
Negative experience: Or we made a mistake regarding the beach or the expectations were very high! We arrived, discomfort in finding a parking space, once there ... we turned back. It’s a beach for groups of kids and not for families.
Positive experience: Beautiful more for the nightlife than for the beach itself. Practically impossible to swim unless with a surfboard due to the rocky entrance to the sea. Possibility to rent umbrellas and sunbeds for a few euros. Great for having a drink or even dining with options for all tastes. There are also equipped beaches, very nice view. A bit complicated to find parking, you have to look slightly outside to find it and not drive around aimlessly for hours. I prefer Los Cristianos when choosing a beach itself.
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful beach! I recommend it.
Negative experience: I do not recommend it. No umbrellas, expensive sun loungers and restaurants. The beach itself is more for surfers.
Fantastic experience: Clean, toilets and foot showers, sun loungers with or without umbrellas, fine sand and everything to eat and drink nearby, very good beach
Fantastic experience: It's an incredibly beautiful beach.
Fantastic experience: Superb, something out of a dream
Positive experience: Always lively and pleasant. One feels safe there.
Fantastic experience: The best place on earth! Tour organization on the island of Tenerife. @serge_gid_tenerife
Fantastic experience: The beach of Las Américas is great. The promenade is very busy and offers a variety of entertainment options. There is a lot of activity on the boardwalk, and the beach itself is well attended. There are numerous options for food and drinks, and the gastronomy is diverse and of good quality. Although a large part of the vacationers come from the UK, there is something for everyone.
Positive experience: A busy but cozy place between Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos. Predominantly English-oriented with the corresponding 'features'. We had a great stay and met many nice people. The weather, excursions, amusement parks, numerous walks, and the sea are characteristic of Tenerife (read: the Canary Islands), which attracts 5 million tourists annually. You have to love it; we are fans of Tenerife.
Fantastic experience: Night life,,,if you want to party like in Ibiza or more, come here
Fantastic experience: A beach to enjoy the sun and swim, many shops and restaurants, and a nightlife area, cheap drinks and cocktails, and free entry discopubs.
Negative experience: Very disappointed, the beach does not look like the photos at all. Furthermore, it is a stony beach with a small stretch of sand.
Fantastic experience: A must-stop in Tenerife. A different beach with a lot of surfers present.
Fantastic experience: Great for vacations!! Bars, restaurants, beach, karaoke... Whatever you're interested in... I love Tenerife!
Negative experience: Is this a beach? For someone from the north, it's a dump: there's not even any sand. Ideal for tourists. The yellow in the photo is dirt, not sand ♂️
Fantastic experience: Wonderful place, sandy and pebble beach (2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella €9), lifeguard station, showers and toilets, bar and restaurants as well as a mini market. Beautiful seafront promenade.
Negative experience: By FAR the worst beach on the island, rocky, hard gravel-like sand (not soft sand) there are 100s more to choose from. Go and experience those.
Negative experience: This place may have been trendier years ago, now they only sell drugs there and you only encounter intoxicated people. Not for me.
Positive experience: Pleasant to walk along the promenade. Many shops and places to relax.
Fantastic experience: Really nice and big beach
Fantastic experience: Nice beach, soft sand. Beware of the tides - you need to take into account that around 3 PM the water level rises. Generally, a nice all-day relaxation. There is a small bar on-site, so in case of problems, you can buy something to eat/drink.
Fantastic experience: During the day you can hear a talented guitarist on the beach, and at night the clubs are in full swing. The music is very pleasant; it makes you want to dance and brightens up the evening. The beach is very clean. I'm from Poland, so what positively surprised me is that no one, absolutely no one, puts up windbreaks, few people play music, everyone enjoys their free time without bothering anyone, and there are really quite a few people on the beach. This calm vibe affects everyone.
Positive experience: Beautiful, but cold. Not the best beach we've been to... perfect for surfers on boards :)
Positive experience: A good beach with black sand, lots of space and a nice entry into the water. However, it turns out that the changing rooms close at 6 PM.
Fantastic experience: Ideal place for holidays and strolling
Negative experience: In pictures it looks sandy but at low tide there are big rocks between the beach and the sea so we left
Fantastic experience: Most beautiful beach on the island. There are few, but this one is gorgeous with plenty of shops around.
Positive experience: It's not the same as in the pictures on the internet, you have to walk through a rocky puddle if you want to reach the sea to swim, and there are times when you're relaxing and people show up for surf classes, but overall it's a very peaceful place and you can see a very beautiful sunset.
Negative experience: If you are in the area, I would recommend other beaches. It is quite rocky. The sunset looks nice. Super touristy atmosphere.
Negative experience: The first photo does not match what it is. It is a beach with a giant rock stretching along the entire shore and full of very large stones. It is unique but not the typical place to lie down and swim, recommended water shoes for walking around here.
Fantastic experience: Good beach for surfing. With many shops around. Plenty of parking in the area but everything is always occupied...
Positive experience: For surfing it's very cool! Otherwise, the surroundings are tourist traps with exaggerated prices!
Positive experience: Among the most frequented beaches, among the most touristy, the island offers much more if you have the opportunity to move around.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful weather, affordable prices, 3 sunbeds and an umbrella for 18.00. Plenty of space in front for free beach.
Positive experience: I am in love with Tenerife and also with its pool park, Siam. It's well organized and well done. The only thing I don't like is the poor sea lions at the entrance that always swim in a clockwise direction in a really small pool. I can't stand seeing them, and if you look closely, you can see that they are exhausted from being locked up and going around in circles.
Positive experience: The view is spectacular, with the big blue ocean on one side and the majestic mountains on the other side, but the beach itself is not the most tourist swim friendly, as the ground is rocky and the waves are big. Looks like a good spot if you're into surfing though. There are beach lounge chairs for rent. Nice for picnics. Bring sandals if you're going into the water.
Positive experience: Once upon a time, years ago it was a wonderful, sandy beach. But no more sand there any more - probably due to the big waves. So this beach is not swimming-friendly any more. Some surfers, some bars, a nice promenade along the beach, but it's not like it was ..
Fantastic experience: Great place with almost always sun when the weather is bad somewhere else on Tenerife
Negative experience: We were told wonderful things about this walk and this place, but to be honest, we didn't really enjoy it much.
Positive experience: Highly touristy place. Nothing natural or quiet.
Fantastic experience: Good place for sunset
Positive experience: Nice family beach, even with the port which interrupts the view a bit.
Fantastic experience: Sunny black sand beach. Surfers waiting for the waves. Long promenade.
Fantastic experience: Great place with a long promenade. Good waves for surfing. Cafes with live music.
Positive experience: Tourist traps all along the beach. Go into the center to shop in the real stores.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach... super lively in the evening and not far from the shopping street... ideal place for nightlife
Fantastic experience: Great tourist destination, there is plenty to do and the beach is close to small supermarkets like mushrooms after rain, amazing nightlife.
