Fantastic experience: Go early, otherwise there is no parking space and you only pay for 3 hours, and you have to renew the ticket, otherwise there are fines.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach in the city, certainly, but overcrowded in summer and surrounded by boats (a trend in Spain to swim behind the boats and therefore probably with a little more oil in the water than elsewhere). The area is stunning, parking is complicated.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful place right in the city center. Clean beach and sea for walking and going with dogs (in winter), and even going in until December. Always a pleasure to return.
Fantastic experience: The beach looks spectacular, with its enormous stretch and beautiful landscape. It offers a variety of water activities to enjoy, plus it is dog-friendly, and the sand is especially soft and pleasant to the touch.
Fantastic experience: A must-visit place for anyone coming to the capital of Guipuzkoa, known by many for being one of the most beautiful on the Atlantic coast. The bay with Santa Clara island, Mount Urgull with its funicular to the amusement park, Mount Igueldo with the statue of Jesus over the Castle of the Mota, the old part and the town hall, the port, Alberdi eder with its modern giant ferris wheel near the mythical carousel for the littlest and not-so-little ones in the family... consequently, one of the most beautiful places in many kilometers around. In winter, dogs are allowed, both on two and four legs, and in general, it is a clean beach. Unusual waves, and I am noticing right now that they have removed the gabarron, please bring it back!
Fantastic experience: La Concha beach is a true gem of San Sebastián. Additionally, it is an unmatched emblem, a meeting point for lovers of walks, great views, and splendid sunsets. A point to highlight is that pets are allowed, so you will enjoy a beach full of activity, pets, and guaranteed strolls. It is located in the urban center of San Sebastián and is part of La Concha bay. Both the beach and the bay owe their name to the similarity of their shape, seen from an aerial view resembling a shell. From the promenade, you can reach the Wind Comb, the town hall, the nautical club, Miramar Palace, and you find a sculpture in homage to Flemimg made by Chillida. It has a Ferris wheel and a carousel right in the park next to this beach. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Beach not to be missed, distinguished by sunshine, sea, dunes, and its strength is the light that spreads, not separate from the possibility of sheltering from the wind. N.B. There are also public restrooms with showers and a Bar-Restaurant in the area.
Fantastic experience: Perfect, very beautiful landscape between mountains and beach, it's really worth a visit with the statue of Jesus. We had an excellent time there, there are plenty of shops, restaurants, in short, you won't get bored, it's great.

The water is clean and not as cold as expected from the Atlantic Ocean. There are changing rooms free of charge under the board walk. Plenty of bars and restaurants.

Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful and emblematic beaches in the city. It is usually a calm beach, without much waves. In summer, with the heat, jellyfish often visit, and you have to be careful with them. During the summer season (from June to September), there are lifeguards, changing rooms (where you can leave your belongings or take a shower), showers, a water fountain, and toilets. However, dogs are not allowed. In this season, there are also sunshades (for rent), which means that the beach, depending on the tide, can be smaller. A quiet place to go with children.
Fantastic experience: As a beautiful beach. . La Concha beach... Concha is in spanish language, means is seashell as similarity of the shape. As famous beach, many people enjoy the beach, you can just seat on park bench with the beach view or taking a stroll or do sport. Alongside the fine golden sand with its lenght more than 1.300 metres makes perfect beach for barefoot walk. It is also well-equipped and offers all sorts of services such as toilet, locker & changing room, and lifeguards if summer.
Positive experience: Una parada obligatoria se estás por San Sebastián. La playa es muy bonita y limpia. Las vistas son espectaculares, el mar muy azul y la arena muy fina. Hay mucha seguridad, y esta a dos minutos del centro de la ciudad. Nos encantaría volver a la ciudad en verano !

Negative experience: The sea surprised me in a bad way with its waves of dark chocolate colour. The water is very dirty. It took me a while to clean my kid's hair from all the crap in the water. Oh and water smells disgusting. Very overrated place.

Fantastic experience: Everyone knows it's a must-walk, no matter the weather. I loved watching people surf the huge waves at sunset.
Fantastic experience: No surfers on La Concha beach but a few families swimming at Christmas. A beautiful walk always with superb winter light.
Fantastic experience: There are good waves for surfing, and different areas you can go to based on your level. The average height of the waves can vary between 0.7 and 1.7 meters, sometimes reaching up to two and a half meters. However, it tends to be quite crowded in the summer, both the sand and the water, although you can still enjoy it.
Fantastic experience: Wow what a beautiful beach.. just stunning, wonderful flat sand for hundreds of meters. Clear stunning water. So much going on, including walking, surfing and sailing. Fantastic experience: Playa de arena fina y aguas cristalinas, ubicada en un entorno incomparable, lo que la hace ideal para practicar deportes acuáticos y cuenta con un bonito paseo donde deleitarse contemplando preciosos atardeceres y las diversas embarcaciones del puerto, así como llegar hasta el peine de los vientos, famosa escultura de Eduardo Chillida. Además, está muy cerca del casco viejo lleno de restaurantes con unas barras de pinchos exquisitos y a lo grande. Sin duda, una ciudad con mucho encanto.

Positive experience: De Beach of La Concha in oktober is een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die van rust en sereniteit houdt. In tegenstelling tot de drukke zomermaanden, is deze maand een geweldige tijd om van het strand te genieten zonder de drukte van de zomerse massa's. Het water kan misschien een beetje koud zijn, maar het uitzicht op de oceaan is spectaculair en je kunt genieten van de rustige sfeer op het strand. De zachte herfstzon geeft je ook de kans om te ontspannen en te genieten van de schoonheid van de omgeving zonder te worden blootgesteld aan de brandende hitte van de zomer. Een wandeling langs de prachtige promenade van La Concha is een must-do activiteit, waar je kunt genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan en de schilderachtige omgeving. Het strand ligt ook op korte loopafstand van het centrum van San Sebastian, waar je kunt genieten van de lokale cultuur, kunst en culinaire hoogstandjes. Als je van watersporten houdt, is oktober ook een geweldige tijd om te gaan surfen of kajakken. De golven kunnen wat groter zijn dan in de zomer, wat zorgt voor een geweldige surfervaring. Fantastic experience: Famosa y enorme playa con una cantidad enorme de arena blanca y fina donde pasear todo el año. También la gente pasea a los perros. Ideal para piraguismo, kayak... Tiene un enorme bar, restaurante en medio de la playa, muy bueno. Todo muy limpio. La gente muy amable. El muelle, está al lado y tiene varios restaurantes muy buenos.

Fantastic experience: We made our way through the city all while the cannibal blighters tried to apprehend us. We reached the edge of the city, and found the hornwork surrounding it. We couldn't get to the hole we'd originally blown through, and we couldn't find a proper exit for the life of us. We were about ready to dive into the water when we met a lad a floor above us. He used one of our supply hoists to lower us to the ground from the top of the hornwork. Poor fool was torn to shreds before you could blink your own eyes. Another fellow went up to lower it all the way down. He didn't make it either. A jolly boat picked up what little remained of us. We were brought to the HMS Undaunted, the captain welcomed us onboard. Before we were even a mile or two out of the fort, one of our guys fell to the plague. The fellow ripped into the captain. We rowed back to the shore.

Now, a bit of the 'bad', it's a small beach and a very busy place, so if you like tranquility, this is not your beach.

Negative experience: Good afternoon, I give one star to the town hall for the neglect of the palm trees on La Concha beach and the lack of ping pong tables near the beach. I also disagree with the location of the swing on the beach, as I burnt my feet trying to take a picture. It's a shame that the swing is not closer to the water, as the views would be more beautiful and it would show in the pictures that the swing is in Oropesa del Mar, which is not recognizable from its current location.

Fantastic experience: We were here on April 1, 2024. A beautiful promenade area. There are a lot of people. A wide beach - which is a huge plus in season. Very few cafes were open, we couldn't have lunch. But as a place for a walk, it's not bad. Beautiful views.

Positive experience: Info camperisti (07/07/24): This is the spectacular free beach of San Sebastian. Crowded until sunset as it shrinks with high tide, you need to position yourself correctly if you don't want to stay there. A place to settle. To its left is the monument to the winds and the starting point of the funicular, while to its right is the old part of the town with its local establishments.
