Karraspio

Fantastic experience: A place and a beach that transmits peace, relaxation, and joy even in winter. For me, it is a place for meditation, for thinking, for reflecting, for smiling, a beautiful place that is difficult to describe what the sea conveys. I like to go with my camper van in winter and be close to this site. This year I will return again, to see those waves that we like so much, and enjoy those winter days even though many do not like them. In summer, there is not much parking but still tends to be very crowded since many people come from around. Oh, and remember, it's Mendexa, not Lekeitio.

Negative experience: Virtually impossible to park near the beach/village, we drove on.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful and spacious beach, with a spectacular environment. Perfect for walking because it is absolutely flat. At low tide, you can walk to a nearby island. The sunset is magical. We went in the afternoon and although there were people, it was not crowded. Great atmosphere. The parking at the beach is blue zone and there weren't many spots either, I imagine it will be impossible in the morning. We took advantage of parking there to leave the car and visit Lekeitio, which is a 15-minute walk away.

Positive experience: The beach is fantastic. The only drawback is if you go by car, you must arrive very early because now that it is high season, it gets very crowded and parking is a chaos; we waited half an hour to see if we could find a spot, and nothing. We had to go look for more parking in the surroundings, all full and relatively far away.

Fantastic experience: Zeer leuk strand waar je op basis van de getijden naar het eiland kan wandelen. Het strand is zalig met enkel zand en geen gesteente. De parking waar hier zoveel over wordt gesproken is gemakkelijk je hebt 3 parkings 2 kort tegen een rondpunt en gratis. Parking 1 is betalend waarvan de eerste 3 uur gratis.

Positive experience: Very sunny, beautiful island. Good view of the sea to the north. Very hot sand and the sea has a playful shape of ebb and flow. When it's low tide, a path to the island appears. Good waves! You could surf wonderfully here. There are showers and it is very accessible. Few parking spaces, ended up parking the car a bit up the hill. Fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Excellent beach, quite large, well protected, clean, white sand. Parking available - at least now in the shoulder season.

Fantastic experience: Très belle plage, facile d accès idéal pour les enfants. Sable fin et très beau paysage

Positive experience: Una playa espectacular, con chiringuitos restaurantes e incluso un hotel, tiene un cómodo aparcamiento pegado a la playa. Pero lo que realmente hace espectacular a esa playa es la isla que tiene enfrente, que queda accesible caminando cuando baja la marea. La zona de aparcamiento es regulado del 1 de junio al 30 de septiembre, fuera de estas fechas el aparcamiento es gratuito. Está permitido aparcar vehículos de hasta dos metros de altura. Forma parte del conocido Caribe del País Vasco sin duda el color de las aguas y la playa merecen una obligada visita.

Fantastic experience: Its a calm beautiful beach in Lekeito. Quite non-touristic and good local restaurants around. Nice place to relax.

Fantastic experience: La playa de Karraspio pertenece al municipio de Mendexa, aunque está casi en Lekeitio y de hecho empalma con la playa de Isuntza situada en el casco urbano de esta localidad. En la playa hay muchos surfistas, y gente practicando voleibol o paseando por la playa. Es bonito el recorrido que va desde Lekeitio a Karraspio que puede realizarse andando mientras disfrutamos de la panorámica, el puerto y las casas de Lekeitio. Desde la playa puedes contemplar la isla de San Nicolás, a la que se puede acceder caminando a través del malecón situado entre ambas playas, siempre que haya marea baja. Hay aparcamiento a pie de playa y cuenta con servicio de socorristas

Fantastic experience: Preciosa playa, también tiene la Isla de San Nicolás que con la marea baja se puede acceder por un paseo el cual cuando sube la marea está cubierto por el agua, merece la pena acercarse a ella puesto que ofrece unas preciosas vistas tanto hacia el mar como al pueblo de Lekeitio

Positive experience: Bella spiaggia libera ma sorvegliata con docce e bagno.Con la bassa marea si forma una passatoia che permette di camminare fino all'isola di fronte. La sera abbiamo avvistato dei delfini ma anche delle caravelle portoghesi , quindi tutti fuori dall'acqua.

Fantastic experience: Amazing beach with a surf school and a very good taverna :)

Positive experience: La playa es una preciosidad, sobre todo en marea baja. Lo que no es de rec8bo, es el estado absolutamente lamentable de los servicios públicos, sucios no, indecentes, la mayoría de las veces no hay papel higiénico, faltan pulsadores de los inodoros, no hay jabón, en el de hombres tampoco puede haberlo porque el dispensador lleva roto más de un año, ni existe un dispensador de papel para secarse las manos, la empresa que tiene encomendado su mantenimiento está a lo suyo, que es su negocio de alquiler y clases de surf, pero el ayuntamiento está advertido pues más de una vez se ha llamado para quejarse y no hacen nada por poner remedio, eso debería haber alguna entidad superior que revisará esas cosas pues no es aceptable, una pésima imagen para el turismo

Fantastic experience: La belle plage de Karraspio appartient à la municipalité de Mendexa, bien qu'elle se trouve pratiquement à Lekeitio. La zone de sable offre au visiteur la possibilité de pratiquer de nombreuses activités sportives telles que le surf, le volley-ball et la voile. Karraspio convient à l'initiation au surf. Il a besoin d'une grosse houle pour se briser. Il a différentes vagues qui varient en fonction de la marée. L'île de San Nicolás est juste en face et la série passe par son côté est, où parfois une gauche de qualité apparaît. Aussi, à côté de la route qui nous mène de Lekeitio à Karraspio, il y a une promenade, à partir de laquelle nous contemplerons les belles vues que nous offre la côte de Biscaye.
