Negative experience: Dogs are not allowed anywhere: neither the fire pits, nor the walkway that borders the beach, nor the area with tables, nor the beach... A large beach where animals could coexist by following the rules without any problem. If you go with a dog, this is not your beach. Spain is very backward on this issue.
Fantastic experience: Great beach. Oriented to the north. It has public services and showers. Access for disabled people and free parking area. The beach bar is one of the best around. I will return!

Fantastic experience: Entorno semiurbanizado, con plantaciones de eucaliptos y pinos en las cercanías. Amplia área de dunas, por la que discurre un riachuelo. El horizonte de Xilloi cuenta con una amplia vista hacia la desembocadura de la ría de O Vicedo que culmina en el Porto de Bares (Mañón). Existe una magnífica vista del puerto de Bares y del avance del Cabo Bares. Cuenta con un área recreativa y dispone de todo tipo de servicios, incluyendo aseos y duchas, socorristas, disponibilidad de realizar barbacoas... Por su belleza natural y sus arenas blancas se convierte en una playa digna de visitar.
Fantastic experience: Qué playa más chula. Totalmente recomendable. Se pueden encontrar rocas volcánicas en sus cercanías. Es de arena blanca y oleaje tranquilo. Tiene bandera azul. No hay socorristas, según parece... Es una de las diferentes playas que posee en concejo de Vicedo. Desde esta playa de ve el puerto de Bares. Cuenta con un área recreativa donde hacer barbacoa, además de aseos y de duchas.
Positive experience: Es una playa muy bonita pero no entiendo que con lo poco concurrida que está no se permita la entrada de perros debidamente vacunados, desparasitados y limpios
Positive experience: El lugar es una pasada de bonito, la montaña y los árboles de meten literalmente en el mar y el color del agua es.precioso. le doy solo un 3 porque no admiten perros y eso que está vacía la playa y porque han permitido construir algunos chalets en la parte derecha rompiendo todo el paisaje

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach near Vivero, in Galicia. Turquoise waters and not very crowded, at least in September. The access is not difficult via a local road in fair condition that connects to the main road. The sand is white and there are usually no tides since it is located in the estuary. One of the prettiest beaches in the area, it is worth going and taking a dip in some very clean waters.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach! Sandy easy entry, smooth waves. On 15 Sep everything closed, unfortunately also toilets. Beach shower still working.
Fantastic experience: Nice beach, with around 300m choose your right spot. The sand feels nice (thin). It has showers, parking, and a good restaurant just in front of the driveway. Will repeat this beach next time. Playa encantadora, con mucho espacio para elegir tu lugar adecuado. La arena se siente bien ya que no es gruesa. Tiene duchas, parking y un buen restaurante justo en frente. Recomendable 100%.

Negative experience: There is no lifeguard and in the summer there are many jellyfish. One stung my sister-in-law and she was screaming in pain. In such a crowded beach as this, I don't understand why they don't have lifeguards.

Positive experience: Promocionada la playa de Xilloi a principal recurso turístico de O Vicedo, tiene todos los servicios cuando el Concello contrata socorristas, decayendo la bandera azul de la UE los veranos sin vigilancia. Ocupa un área extensa, con fina arena blanca, dunas y arbolado, pero con deficiencias corrientes y estructurales que la crítica puede y debe manifiestar para su corrección: Así accesos caóticos, aseos deteriorados y un aparcamiento que resulta muy escaso en agosto, saturando de coches las calles del adyacente núcleo de población. En la arena, insectos no voladores y restos de plástico, madera y alguna lata, incluso cuando hubo marea baja a primera hora de la mañana, propicia para el mantenimiento. En el aire algunas moscas y avispas, con probable origen en un foco cercano de suciedad orgánica, que podría estar en alguna finca o en el riachuelo de negro fondo que, tras pasar junto a huertos y viviendas, desemboca al este de la playa. Pero lo más rechazable de Xilloi es la contaminación visual de casas junto a la playa, incluso con escalera particular, que violentan la percepción de esta atracción turística.

Negative experience: I had high expectations because of the reviews, but I was quite disappointed with this beach. Very crowded. The water was freezing and full of seaweed. It's pretty, but it's not worth it for just two nice pictures.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place where you can definitely relax wonderfully. We were there at the beginning of June, and the beach was completely empty. Unfortunately, even though the restrooms were on-site, they were closed, so if someone is going there off-season, they must be aware that they won't fully benefit from the facilities.
