Information

Atlanterra Beach, located in Zahara de los Atunes, is a stunning coastal paradise known for its crystal-clear waters and golden sands. The beach is family-friendly, with various amenities that enhance the visitor experience, such as chiringuitos offering delicious seafood and options for renting beach equipment.

Visitors highlight several positive aspects:

  • Beautiful, clean water with minimal algae.
  • Spacious, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere ideal for families.
  • A great spot for sports and leisurely strolls, especially during sunrise and sunset.
  • Adequate parking facilities nearby, although arriving early is recommended due to limited spaces.
  • Accessible areas for setting up umbrellas and enjoying picnics.

However, some users mentioned a few drawbacks:

  • The sand can be more rocky than soft in some sections.
  • Strong winds can be a nuisance at times, affecting the beach experience.
  • Issues with pet presence and a lack of enforcement of regulations regarding animals on the beach.
  • Concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance in certain areas.

Overall, Atlanterra Beach offers a picturesque and enjoyable beach experience, perfect for those looking to unwind in a natural setting.

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach (I think the best in Zahara de los Atunes), with crystal clear waters, golden sands, the water temperature was pleasant and the family atmosphere is abundant in these parts. The waves and breeze were of low-medium intensity. Highly recommended beach for families with small children, you can bring your umbrella and your snacks for the day, there are places to throw away trash and nearby shops. The parking area is small, so it is recommended to come early. The walk from the parking lot to the beach is 3-5 minutes.

Negative experience: It is a beach where pets are not allowed; however, it is common to see dogs on the sand, some of them unleashed, large in size, and without a muzzle, causing altercations among bathers. There is a lack of supervision and education in the face of so many people who do not know the rules (or do not want to adhere to them).

Negative experience: Of all the paradise beaches in Cádiz, this one is not among the best. The sand is not particularly fine. And the water had a lot of seaweed, although I imagine this depends on the weather and the wind.

Positive experience: Today I went to this beach. Well, let me tell you that the wind was unbearable. The water had algae and was dangerous for my taste. I was sinking as I got in... What a scare! We walked very close to Bunker Beach and, well, this one is a different story. It was amazing.. I highly recommend the bunker with my eyes closed.

Suele haber aparcamiento cerca.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful wide beach on the Atlantic of Zahara. There are many villas here that have been built into the rocks. By the sea, there are still old bunkers that blend wonderfully into nature; the waves are beautiful and different with every walk. The view from up high over the whole place of Zahara is a must-see.
