Fantastic experience: Hoy 19.junio 2025, fácil aparcamiento, playa muy grande y muy limpia arena dorada no quema, nada profunda apta para niñ@s, nada de piedraS, solo arena, duchas, socorrista, zona de juegos y campo de fútbol en playa, muchos bares y tiendas un mercadona a 7 minutos andando segunen que parte de la playa te instale.

Positive experience: One of the best beaches I've been to. There are hardly any people and the water is very clear. Ideal for sunbathing or sitting to watch the sea. The food is not bad at all since there is a wide variety of restaurants and bars, even a Chinese one next to an Italian. The promenade and the beach offer a general cultural immersion. I will return soon, although it's a pity that there is no space for pets on the beach, not even a little spot to be with them. They also don't allow pets on the promenade during the high season.

Fantastic experience: I understand that this beach belongs to where they end. I love the last little corner, there are no prohibition signs, there is just a small area of beach bordered by that piece of vegetation and the sparse rocks. A beautiful place to take a photo right where the promenade ends. Fine, clean, and very pleasant sand. Little depth and perfect temperature. Without a doubt, a very lovely spot to enjoy and take care of it.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful quiet place that is 'provincial' in the best sense. It feels a bit forgotten next to the neighboring towns of Conil and Zahora. Very nice promenade with cafes, bars, restaurants. A fantastic beach with crystal clear water is the crown jewel.
Positive experience: You can't go wrong with this beach, it has also a convenient pedestrian only road with plenty of restaurants to choose from, one star less because to find available parking there was always challenging.

Positive experience: Ideal urban beach for families, with good signage and lifeguards. One star short... For having removed the showers. They could keep them for off-season.

Positive experience: I visited Barbate 2 years ago, in the center there are supermarkets to choose from. Some like in Portugal, such as LIDL, ALDI, MINIPREÇO. For motorhomes, there are free and paid parking areas to sleep, places to clean and put water. Very nice beach, calm and clean. I just didn't like the walk after dinner. There were so many mosquitoes that we ran back to the motorhome. But I think it was just a momentary thing. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Playa impecable, enorme, con mucha accesibilidad para personas con diversidad funcional motórica o para niños/as. Maravillosa en cualquier época del año. Una pena que entre todos/as no la cuidemos como se merece y cada vez haya más basura, colillas etc...

Fantastic experience: Carmen beach is magnificent; clean and quiet 10/10 without a doubt and with the help of Our Lord we will repeat. Note to the margin; all my life going to Levante to endure heat and suffer crowded beaches and here much less heat and comfortable, impeccable beaches.

Fantastic experience: The best beach in the world if there's no easterly wind, the seaside promenade is divine for eating and drinks, and it's cheap.
Negative experience: The beach in summer smells like sewage... The treatment plant can't keep up with the population and dumps the sewage straight into the Barbate River. Due to the currents and winds, all of this reaches the beach, which becomes foul-smelling.
Positive experience: There are very few people compared to nearby beaches, very quiet but with a lot of seaweed.
