Fantastic experience: Real surfers beach. Good waves. Lots of parking places (not free). Lots of bars, mostly with live music and food. Shopping and surfboard rental.
Fantastic experience: Along with Bolonia, the best beach from my point of view on the Cádiz coast. If the Levante wind is not blowing, it can offer an unforgettable day due to the color of its water and its lack of urbanization. There are numerous paid parking lots in the same private plots. Likewise, there are several beach bars and establishments on the other side of the road where you can eat, have a drink, or enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
Negative experience: Impossible to park in summer, water full of algae and dirty.
Positive experience: Wonderful place .... but..... the cleanliness.... the fact that dogs can access the whole beach seems very unhygienic to me.... I found feces in places where we usually set up.... access should be limited or areas of the beach designated for dogs.... also.... many cigarette butts .... smokers should be more aware.... the same should be done with campaigns ... and one last thing.... showers to wash off the sand.... in the end, these are basic things.... blue flag beaches take care of these things

Fantastic experience: One of the most well-known beaches in Cádiz, belonging to Vejer de la Frontera (although it is quite far from the village itself, you have to go by car). From Conil we have walked there a few times, the hike is manageable. White and fine sand, with a lot of light and fresh water, like a good Atlantic beach; the sunsets are the best thing about this beach, with some beautiful scenes. In the area, there are loads of bars and restaurants to grab a drink or to eat; especially in summer, of course, when there are many more people around.
Fantastic experience: Very good beach to go with a dog, with some rocks that have crabs, fine sand, and plenty of vegetation. Many places to eat and the water is very clean.
Positive experience: Very large, good sand,
Fantastic experience: Wonderful sunset. Big beach, fine sand. Beautiful.

Positive experience: Beach with very little incline, which makes the tide advance many meters; the sunset at low tide must look amazing. There is a lot of wildlife in the area, especially in the afternoon. There is a clothing market and restaurants, it just lacks showers and public restrooms.
Negative experience: Overrated, there are a thousand better beaches in Cádiz than this one. A lot of surf culture, and beach bars wherever you look, extremely crowded. The grass is burned and the wood is worn out, so it has little attractiveness. If you have the opportunity and you are driving, take a few more minutes and go to other beaches or coves.

Me encantó
Fantastic experience: The beach is beautiful but the maintenance of the wooden walkways and infrastructure is terrible. We had an accident and we haven't been able to report it, lack of time and the scare. It's a shame that such a lovely beach is in those conditions. Zero access for disabled people and I didn't see a lifeguard in 4 days.
Fantastic experience: Playa amplia, grande y espaciosa, arenas blancas y aguas cristalinas.

Fantastic experience: Real surfers beach. Good waves. Lots of parking places (not free). Lots of bars, mostly with live music and food. Shopping and surfboard rental.
Positive experience: Beautiful wide beach and many surfers. Also adjacent are many good, partly expensive and trendy restaurants.
Fantastic experience: Surfer's hotspot
Negative experience: Overrated, there are a thousand better beaches in Cádiz than this one. A lot of surf culture, and beach bars wherever you look, extremely crowded. The grass is burned and the wood is worn out, so it has little attractiveness. If you have the opportunity and you are driving, take a few more minutes and go to other beaches or coves.
Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in the area... surfing here is amazing!! It's great

Fantastic experience: Real surfers beach. Good waves. Lots of parking places (not free). Lots of bars, mostly with live music and food. Shopping and surfboard rental.
Fantastic experience: Exceptional beach like all those in the province of Cádiz. The best and most beautiful beaches in the world.

Fantastic experience: Love 'el Palmar', beach life at its best
Fantastic experience: BRUTAL
Fantastic experience: Great

Fantastic experience: Despite all the people going to this beach, it is so big that you don't feel crowded. I positioned myself under the lighthouse and we had a great time. The bar area is very well equipped for all environments. Although everything is a bit expensive. The best sunsets in El Palmar.
Fantastic experience: In mid-season, it is paradise.
Fantastic experience: I enjoyed the beach, the company, and the food
Positive experience: El Palmar has a special charm that cannot be described in a review. Its sand, its waters, and everything that comes together in this coastal area. Extremely well-known and very crowded. A multitude of services associated with what is expected from an excellent beach.
Fantastic experience: Very well, you can bring dogs
Fantastic experience: Without a doubt one of the best sunsets.
Fantastic experience: Many people
Fantastic experience: Fantastic beach with fine sand and crystal clear waters!
Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in the area... surfing here is amazing!! It's great
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach, super big and perfect for going with the family.
Positive experience: Spectacular kilometer-long beach for walking, swimming, and watching the sunset. A must-visit.
Fantastic experience: The beaches of Cádiz are beautiful. Clean, wide. And those sunsets.
Positive experience: Very good beach, they keep it as a virgin beach, some places to eat outside the beach, there are no showers or foot rinsing areas.
Fantastic experience: True, healthy, and natural paradise, you will come back.
Fantastic experience: Good beach to spend some time, there is a lot of youthful and middle-aged atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: I am in love with this beach and its atmosphere. I appreciate that there are no buildings. I will return someday when I’m back in the area.
Me encantó
Fantastic experience: Los mejores atardeceres.
Positive experience: Super for surfing, walking, chilling. Spectacular sunsets. The dunes are a nature reserve and you should only walk down to the beach via the wooden bridges and paths, but too many people do not adhere to this and there are no controls. Big plus: Surf schools are also open in winter. Bars, restaurants, and shops along the promenade are open as well. Finding a parking spot can be difficult on weekends, sometimes too busy, but there are paid parking lots for €3-4 per day. Overall, the beach unfortunately seems to be becoming more touristy, the original atmosphere is gradually being lost.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beaches
Fantastic experience: Very peaceful. I recommend El Dorado beach bar.
Fantastic experience: Magnificent, with that charm of the beaches of Cádiz and the clear water
Fantastic experience: I think it is a very calm, spacious, and idyllic beach.
Fantastic experience: I love this beach, although it gets crowded.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach, full of beach bars. I love it.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful place. If you go, please respect the environment and do not litter, please✌️
Fantastic experience: The best beach in Spain, with a healthy atmosphere and food where you can enjoy the beach and sun.
Negative experience: I love the Palmar beach, but I give a low rating because of the poor management by the town hall and the trash; there are no bins or trash cans, and there's no service, so the garbage ends up piled up anywhere and the wind causes it to be thrown around (also, we humans should be cleaner and the cigarette butts...). I give a zero to the town hall and their service and garbage collection, which is non-existent, and I give 5 stars to the beach, which is spectacular.
Fantastic experience: I love this beach. Very big and sometimes good waves for surfing!! Ideal for swimming. And good vibe!! Awesome!!
Positive experience: Spectacular beach, spacious and super beautiful, fine white sand. The only downside is that it is neglected regarding cleanliness. I think the city council should take better care of the area. There are not enough bins and people leave trash anywhere, which is a shame because the environment is beautiful.
Positive experience: Nice beach with clean sand and water, and parking nearby.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach!!! Few people (April), plenty of space, very clean, nice sand, dunes. The sea was clean, cold, and lively, typically Atlantic, not for splashing around... a really great place!
Fantastic experience: Superb beach several kilometers long, with golden fine sand. It is also a spot for surfers.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach and highly recommended
Positive experience: Very nice place for tranquility and enjoyment for a dream vacation. Rest and enjoy with family.
Positive experience: What a spectacular beach.. but I give it three stars because the wooden walkway should go all the way to the water for wheelchairs.
Negative experience: The town hall prohibits parking for RVs / camper vans, etc... I don't know where they got the law from... A very beautiful beach, it's a shame about the town hall's treatment of the area, setting up nightclubs in the zone.
Fantastic experience: An almost endless beach, enough not to be crowded even in summer. Out of season, it is peaceful and relaxing, I enjoyed being there. In the middle of nowhere south of Cadiz. Beware of the waves, they can be dangerous.
Positive experience: Interesting for young people and surfers. A chaos for older people...
Fantastic experience: They make you feel at home. They are very attentive and recommend very well. The food is very good and reasonably priced. We have come to Conil several times and we always return. Very nice.
Negative experience: Yesterday I was fined for parking in an authorized spot with my van. The fine stated 'park a caravan or motorhome.' There was no overnight stay, just parking in a spot full of cars. They say they call the establishments and campsites to prevent vans from going. It's embarrassing.
Fantastic experience: Impressive white sand beach and crystal clear water, with plenty of places to try the local cuisine, as well as many charming spots to enjoy a 'tardeo' or go out at night... Spectacular!!
Fantastic experience: It simply sums up in paradise; out of high season, El Palmar returns to being El Palmar, with its atmosphere, its people where no one bothers anyone, where the lifestyle is peace and a smile. Is it the weather? I don't know, those wooden bars, pubs, and that surfer style. It still has a nightlife even in December. From El Palmar to Levante is beautiful. I've been coming for many years, and except for the fact that everyone has started coming in summer, the rest of the year is simply wonderful.
Fantastic experience: I love this place. It is one of the widest beaches I know. Beautiful outside of the season. In summer, very crowded; I always recommend a more secluded beach. The town hall should keep the bins all year round since in spring, autumn, and winter there are also many people who visit this place and others who live there.
Fantastic experience: Super beach, beautiful, great for surfing, plenty of schools on site where you can rent a board, crowded when parking.
Positive experience: One of the best beaches in Spain to go with the kids. The only thing to keep in mind is the sea currents and the price of housing and the supply of drinking water.
Fantastic experience: A quiet place..... Good vibes... Starry sky.... Perfect!!!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach and popular place for surf lovers all year round. There you can find lots of surf schools, restaurants and shops especially during the summer months. We go all year and sometimes (after the summer season) we take our dog.
Fantastic experience: Lovely beach!!
Positive experience: Wide and tranquil beach where you can be as you wish
Positive experience: Very beautiful beach with many access points but no public showers. Very nice sunset.
Fantastic experience: The best beach in Cádiz. Spectacular sunsets
Fantastic experience: My happy place. I wish it were a little like it used to be and not so crowded.
Fantastic experience: The paradise of Cádiz to fully enjoy with your pet without anyone getting bothered by it. They deserve to enjoy because they are better than many people in this world.
Fantastic experience: An amazing beach and an incredible sunset. And different beach bars where you can enjoy music, friends, and an amazing atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Ideal for walking. From Conil to Trafalgar it's about 8 kilometers... Quietness and good scenery.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach to watch the sunset. In October, we had no problems being with the dog on the beach; there were plenty of people. Incredible surf area. Highly recommended.
Positive experience: This is a place where young and old come together, well, at least they are in the vicinity of each other. Freedom and happiness are showcased here in a nostalgically messy Spanish environment. The beach is infinitely long and serves for long walks of reflection. There isn’t too much control here as there is in the Netherlands, which is delightful. It is mainly for this reason that I prefer this place; here you can still be a colorful person who can be seen, unlike the dreary existence as a number in the Netherlands. From here, you can walk to Conil or southwards to Faro and even further to Los Caños de Meca. Public transport doesn’t really run regularly, so a scooter is ideal here. Definitely do not rent a car to get here because then you won’t experience the authentic old-fashioned Spanish atmosphere, and that would be a shame.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach
Fantastic experience: I really like going..
Positive experience: One of those places where time stands still... and yet, the regulars say it’s just not the same anymore.
Fantastic experience: Simply spectacular. But crowded in July and August.
Fantastic experience: Big, accessible, and beautiful beach
Positive experience: Impressive waves although the current would drag you. Very nice atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, clean and cool water, many waves
Fantastic experience: We were there on the last day of our vacation. The weather was great, and the area we were in was not overcrowded at all; we already knew it from last year.
Fantastic experience: The spectacular wild-type beach, crystal clear water and not very cold, a marvel I would go back.
Positive experience: Endless beach with no rocks in the water. Not like Cala del Aceite. I don't give it a fifth star because there are no freshwater showers.
Positive experience: Good access to the beach and close without having to walk too much, the only downside is that there is not much parking space. The restaurants are good and almost all are at the same price.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful! Clean and huge. If you are looking for a still wild place without a commercial boardwalk, this is the spot.
Fantastic experience: The best beach I have been to, it is beautiful and what I liked the most was that they allowed me to be on the beach with my little dog, she was very well received, I will definitely return.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular. As a negative point, parking could be cheaper.
Fantastic experience: My beach 30 years ago. It's a shame that the rest of the world doesn't know it's mine and every summer it gets filled with people to the point where I'm going to have to fence it off completely to enjoy it like we did 30 years ago when we parked my van on the dune in front of Casa Juan and spent practically 2 months there almost alone. But now, despite having to ask for permission to lay my towel in August and being surrounded by rich kids with huge BMWs everywhere, the old-timers still find corners where life remains wonderful and we enjoy the place. It's becoming harder to find them, but they are still out there. And against those sunsets, the crowds won't be able to do anything, thank you, my God.
Fantastic experience: Very extensive beach, perfect for walking
Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach, fine sand and wide shore, it is ideal.
Fantastic experience: We spent a weekend in Vejer de la Frontera, we were at the EL PALMAR beach and it was great, very peaceful for spending the day with kids at the beach. The only thing I didn't like is that there were no public showers and to wash off the sand we had to pay to use some showers.
