Mojácar Beach

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beaches, plenty of thought gone into supporting a healthy lifestyle. There is a great running/cycling lane, running the length of the beach, multi gym facilities. It's also spotlessly clean with plenty of bars/restaurants.

Positive experience: One of the longest walks I've been on. There are several beach bars. I missed souvenir shops.

Positive experience: It is a beach with stones, which makes it difficult for children and elderly people to enter the water, finding some rocks inside that can hurt you if you do not wear water shoes, as was the case for me. During the time we were there, the water was very warm.

Positive experience: Facilities: Showers, restrooms, wheelchair access. We don't walk on top of each other. Beach of small rolled pebbles.

Fantastic experience: Excellent beaches, the only thing that would be needed is a little cleaning/raking to remove seaweed when the tide goes down. Protected and supervised by their respective lifeguard.

Fantastic experience: Very touristy, but no one bathes in its beautiful and wild beaches; they are uncomfortable, no sand, a lot of stone, strong waves....

Fantastic experience: July 16, 2024, almost 3 PM when we arrived. No parking issues, beach without any crowd, crystal clear waters... W O N D E R F U L. It is further away than other beaches but I think we won't step on another one that isn't this until we go back :)

Negative experience: Dogs are not allowed to walk on the beach, but cars, vans, and motorhomes are parked on the beach... they pollute and dirty more than dogs. If you have a dog, I do not recommend Mojacar; they cannot step on the sand/rocks or the grass.

Negative experience: Mojacar is undoubtedly one of the biggest disappointments I've experienced on vacation. Starting with Mojacar town, in my opinion, it has absolutely nothing that dozens of white villages all over Andalusia don’t have. In fact, when we read that it was competing with, for example, Nerja for being the most beautiful village, we couldn’t believe it because there’s no comparison between the two. As for Mojacar beach, I didn’t like it at all. It's just another place to visit, but it doesn’t match what is 'advertised'—rough grey sand beaches, semi-desert landscapes. In my opinion, there are many better places to go on vacation both in Andalusia and in the rest of Spain. However, I must highlight the tranquility as a very positive aspect. It’s surprising that in the middle of July, you can park without any problem at any time on the beach you want. I truly regret making this assessment, but I try to be honest with my opinions, and I think that if you come from the north and know Cádiz or Málaga, this area of Andalusia might be a bit disappointing. In fact, it resembles Murcia much more than the rest of Andalusia.

Negative experience: The town of Mojacar is beautiful... too many hills. The Mojacar beach area leaves a lot to be desired, it has been a disappointment for me.

Positive experience: It's not the best beach in the area. It is true that if you are staying in Mojácar, it serves its purpose for going with children. I recommend visiting any of the ones in Cabo de Gata.

Fantastic experience: The best beach in Mojacar. Las Ventanicas. Extensive beach, super clean, calm, with spectacular views and above all that crystal clear water. I recommend some goggles and a snorkel for snorkeling.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Mojacar Playa. Plenty of beautiful beach bars and restaurants. Most having live music. IE; bands duo's or solo artistes. We caught an amazing band at Tito's Beach bar.

Fantastic experience: Perfect place to relax. The photo was taken on a hiking path that runs between Mojacar beach and the Torre Pirulico in the village of Macenas, where you can also see the Castillo de Macenas (both photos accompany the stone of the Nazareno). It is a very easy and simple route of approximately 14 km round trip, which runs along the coast.

Fantastic experience: Mojácar is one of the small picturesque enclaves that remain on the coast of the town of Vera, an hour and a half from Murcia and an hour from Almería. A paradisiacal area where, despite the real estate management aimed almost entirely at new citizens from northern Europe, you can still enjoy paradisiacal beaches, sands, and deserts where you can find the calm and tranquility that you do not know in the big cities. If you are like me and you enjoy nature outside of the vacation season, with hardly any people, it is more than a recommended destination.

Positive experience: Good place on the Almeria coast, a pity that it has become popular among a rather snobbish type of tourism that has transformed the town into a kind of posh neighborhood with people looking down their noses. However, if you do your own thing, it is a good place to spend a few days of rest and even live. The beaches are clean, spacious, and varied.
