Positive experience: Clean beach. Few people (June). No shower facilities and not very accessible.
Positive experience: Typical Mediterranean beach, very smooth and with fine sand. Good services and parking is available. It is not usually crowded. Sometimes it smells bad near the port.

Fantastic experience: I loved it for dogs!!
Negative experience: Disappointed with the Salou Town Hall and their decision to place a dog area in the middle of this beach. I am not against having them, but it is not the right place. It smells bad and many dog owners (not all) break the rules. They don’t keep them on a leash and many wash them in the showers for users, not in the one installed for dogs. This summer I have already observed several arguments between bathers about this issue... We have been waiting for decades for them to fix the Barenys ravine, since when there was a storm, the beach would fill with reeds, dirty water, and bad smells... and when, finally, they carry out the works that we had been waiting for so long, it turns out that the new Barenys avenue ends in a dog beach!!!! Incredible!
Negative experience: It is the forgotten beach of Salou. The streets are dirty, neglected, the sidewalks are broken and overgrown, the palm trees are uncleaned. The beach has no beach bars and to top it off we have a dog area in the middle of the beach. It is a shame and we pay taxes like everyone else.
Negative experience: As if the tiny area for dogs, 1% of the beach, wasn't enough. It is only marked by a rope. We come from Barcelona where there are excellent dog-friendly beaches.
Fantastic experience: This beach is very nice, especially the area for dogs. Small but well located and with everything you need! There is quite a bit of control to ensure all the rules are followed! We already know that when it rains and trash flows down from the river, the odors become noticeable and in some areas you can't swim. But well... you can always move and no worries.

Positive experience: Both Poniente and Levante are the beautiful beaches that connect Salou with Cambrils, with fine white sand, palm trees, and the warm Mediterranean Sea. It's worth a visit; the downside is the number of people in the middle of summer, but otherwise it's great!!!
Fantastic experience: Excellent fine sand beach, with pleasant warm water, waves, and a gentle slope. We went there in the evening for the sunset and to have a picnic, we didn't walk on top of each other because the beach is so big. We weren't close to other vacationers, a real plus.

Negative experience: Una playa normalita y sinceramente, en la zona donde estábamos, nada pero nada preparada para personas con discapacidad. Para acceder no hay rampas y el paseo si se le puede llamar así esta más preparado para las bicicletas que para personas y el poco trozo que hay para transitar lo ocupan los Top mantas, por lo que acceder a la playa se hace tarea imposible. También indicar que ver algún socorrista o puesto donde ayuden a las personas con discapacidad a llegar al agua me fue imposible o se esconden o no está señalizado en lugar visible donde estan. Sin dudarlo no repetiremos en estas condiciones

Fantastic experience: The beach is very beautiful, although recently they downgraded its status and took away the blue flag due to dirtiness (the blue flag is awarded to the best, cleanest beaches, etc.). There are also volleyball nets that they should put up more of, but they are quite good even though the nets are a bit low. I suppose they are this way so that people can play and all that, but the height is not very realistic. The shape of the net makes a U, and hitting from the center is much easier, and if you are a hitter (attacking from the sides), it makes it a bit difficult to have the net with that shape. It doesn't matter; this way you get more exercise by jumping. If you're still reading and wondering why I'm going on so much, it's because I'm trying to get this badge from Google Maps for writing so much; the badge is cool, so I'm going to get it. I play volleyball, and I think these nets are weird, but at least you can play. Oh, I almost forgot, they should put a permanent line to delimit the field. Fantastic experience: We usually go night fishing for surfcasting, it is a quiet place in winter but a bit busier in summer due to tourism. We have had good fishing nights with friends who are fans of this sport; you meet other enthusiasts and we share anecdotes of fishing days.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful beach to visit with family, there is plenty of shallow water and the sea is super calm which is great for children to play. I recommend bringing some inflatable floaties for total fun for both adults and children. The area is not very big but it is very clean.

Fantastic experience: Quiet place, close to the atmosphere, very good weather

Fantastic experience: very clean beach and great for walking along the water
Negative experience: A shame the beach for dogs, apart from being the forgotten beach of Salou (non-working showers, neglected weeds and trees...) they couldn't do worse. Animals have the right to have a place for themselves, but not in the middle of people. I believe we pay the same contribution as the apartments of the other beaches. We hope to be attended to properly.
Negative experience: A scandal, a regular in Salou for more than 30 years, when will there be a decree like in Calpe with a fine of 250 euros for all the squatters who from 8:30 am come to drop their belongings in front of the sea only to arrive at 11/12? It's still a public beach, right? Thanks to the 'Local Police' for reminding that we cannot reserve a public beach!

Positive experience: As always, it has been revitalizing. Lots of people, but without having to queue. It's a place I like, where I can disconnect from the hustle and bustle without being far from home.
Negative experience: Having a pet beach IS NOT ENOUGH. In Barcelona and Cambrils, dogs have the right to roam FREE on the beach, as it is separated by a metal mesh to facilitate the freedom of our pets. Here: they don’t let you take them off-leash or even IN THE WATER, and on top of that, old people (classist, as they themselves said while alerting the police to fine people who took them off-leash) come to bother. There are people with reduced mobility or weight issues who cannot quickly get out of the water with a dog on a leash if it is drowning or has any problem that prevents it from breathing/moving. How are they supposed to take them to the beach with this absurd regulation?

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. Everything was great. Felt uncomfortable at first, but there are so many people, everyone is busy with themselves, so you can just enjoy yourself.
