Positive experience: Very beautiful beach, many places to enjoy a dinner or have a drink, friendly people.

Fantastic experience: Clothing-optional adult nude beach in a semi-secluded area away from the main beaches. Water and sand are clean. Fairly busy even at the end of October. Appears to be mostly the men sunbathing.

Negative experience: The beach itself is fine! Lots of people, but the sand is so fine, personally I don't like it! It's difficult to put up an umbrella, too overcrowded, not just crowded!!

Fantastic experience: It is one of the few nudist beaches in the area that can be accessed comfortably. It is mostly gay, but there is a small family area next to it. It tends to be quite crowded and full, but it is the gay beach of Sitges, and the gays tend to dominate a lot.

Positive experience: It's no longer at all the Balmins beach we knew. Since the beach bar changed, it's not the same atmosphere at all. Moreover, the prices were affordable before, but now they treat us like cash cows. 15 euros for a cocktail among other things.

Positive experience: Good cove in summer season, the water tends to be clean. The best time to visit is July and September. They have a beach bar that is getting more expensive each time, although that's known in Sitges. There is a mixed area of regular beach and gay nude, so if you go with family and don't want to see men in the nude, don't go.

Fantastic experience: Our friend recommended the beaches in Sitges. It is a safe place, and you won't be constantly bothered by people trying to sell you things. We chose Balmins because we enjoy nude beaches. This nude beach also allows for clothing-optional sunbathing. The ambience is friendly, and the seawater is great for swimming.

Positive experience: It is a very beautiful beach. I have been coming here for many years. What I don't like is that this year it is very neglected and very dirty. Every year they used to come down to the beach to clean it with rakes, and this year it is disgusting. As far as I know, the town hall doesn't charge cheap taxes so that they don't clean it. In the end, they live off tourism.

Fantastic experience: Love this beach. Met so many people around the world. The people are very friendly. Bring a beach umbrella, towels, sun screens, drinks and flip flops. You can get a beach umbrella from the bazaar. A single size beach umbrella is about euro 9.80. Take a beach towel from the hotel. Get drinks and food in the market next to the railway station. Most people get there after 12pm then stay until 6pm. To get down to the beach, please go further north side of the beach with the walking path where the beach club is. It is just another less than 5 mins walk. Most people climbed down with a rocky pathway to the beach for a fast track. If you are wearing flip flops, then I would suggest going further walking down the beach. It is worth walking down the beach near the beach club. LBQTI+ tend to be in the middle section of the beach. I had a great time and possibly the best beach in Sitges.

Negative experience: A quiet nudist beach where you could leave your things and go for a swim, soon overcrowded by textiles. Now it is just another beach, lacking charm, crowded, and unsafe.

Positive experience: It has always been one of my favorite beaches, this year they decided to start throwing sand at the end of July, we are in August and obviously the sand is always wet and smells bad. Planning by Pepe Gotera and Otilio.

Fantastic experience: Very crowded with people, the place is beautiful, you can see the beach and breathe in the sea and summer from there. The prices are those of any beach place in Sitges, somewhat high but without major surprises. The service is very good and fast!

Positive experience: Full to the brim, mostly gay crowd from all nationalities. Nothing new. The beach bar, as every year, a robbery. For a medium-sized beer with lemon, 5 euros, plus 1 euro for the plastic cup. Euro that you get back if you bring the cup, which they know very well 99% won't do, and I count myself among them. There is no water in the showers, only in the foot showers, so I don't know if it's a water-saving measure, despite the fact that it rained quite a bit, or if it's another one of those measures that came to stay after the pandemic, like the appointment system at official places...

Negative experience: For me, it has always been a 5-star beach, but not anymore. It is essential for me to be able to shower and remove the sand and salt. I have a skin problem that forces me to do so. However, they have replaced the showers with foot showers. Well, I will leave quickly and shower at my house in Sant Pere de Ribes. Then I will have dinner at a restaurant in Ribes and not in Sitges. Sitges is gradually, constantly, becoming more neglected and worse. The truth is that without showering, all you want to do is rush home to get rid of the coating of sand and salt. I have seen people on all fours trying to wash their heads in the foot shower.

Negative experience: A crowded beach, where there is no space even to lay down a towel. When you try to relax, the feet of a stranger are 'only 2 centimeters' from your face. Furthermore, it's the beach with 'the most thefts' I've seen while swimming. A not-so-relaxing experience!

Fantastic experience: It's great. One problem is that the people are a bit dirty; how hard is it to pick up cigarette butts and plastic? And another thing, the lifeguards just ignore it when they see dogs on the beach...

Positive experience: One of the prettiest beaches in Sitges. Its great charm lies in the freedom of the people who visit it, as even though it is not officially classified as a nudist beach, if you like to practice it, you can do so without anyone raising any objections, as you will not be the only one.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Sitges for many years and Platja dels Balmins is definitely my favourite beach. Situated away from the main beaches of the town itself, the beach attracts a mostly textile free gay crowd, 30+ I would say. Though you can keep your trunks on in comfort if you prefer. The atmosphere is relaxed, there is a little café with reasonable prices. The beach is sandy and there are no stones to manoeuvre your way around when you want to go for a swim. The sunbeds are €6.50 a day, parasol €7. A lovely peaceful place to which I look forward to whenever I can get to Sitges.

Positive experience: Beautiful spot for surfing and bodysurfing. Very good wave sets. Ideal! The beach is mainly nudist and it is not very large, keep that in mind. You have to walk a bit from the train, but it's worth it.

Positive experience: Very nicely located beach and after a year without it, there is again a beach bar. The only negative is that the sea takes away a piece of beach year after year. Instead of replenishing it with sand, they accept that it is getting smaller. With high waves, there is no beach left.

Positive experience: I only found the beach amusing because there was a party. I have never been to this beach in a normal or family environment. But there is a lack of sand on this beach. I rate it 4 stars because the sunset on this side of the city is stunning with the Sitges cathedral in front of us. The water is very clean and warm.

Negative experience: Very beautiful beach, nice sand, you can swim there comfortably... but you're on top of each other... If it seems popular with gay people, this is not the place to go to see handsome guys... It's filled with big teddy bears, not pleasant to look at at all...

Positive experience: Beautiful beach/nature. Clean but flies are everywhere, wonder why. If you see stones are placed, on the sand than avoid it. It means human waste treasure buried there.the stones are tombstones/gravestones to mark the burial. Besides that The rest was, beautiful.

Fantastic experience: One of my favorite beaches in the Barcelona area, (about 30 min from Barcelona in Sitges). Clothing optional, lots of families with kids, all ages, but also a strong quantity of same sex couples. The restaurant(s) nearby are great for a break from the beach/sun. Generally you'll find a chiringuito to cool your thirst down, and chair/umbrella service.

Fantastic experience: The beach is long but small. The most of the people sunbathe nude here in summer and in the winter if you have a dog, take him/her here. There are a few small local restaurants before entering the beach.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful sands have been placed to create a lovely beach. Liberating nudity with mostly bois at the further end. Comfortable with no posers or muscle Marys to intimidate the glorious cross section of a few youngish guys but mostly middle aged+ unfit but happy nude fellas..with and without partners. It can get very friendly. It's fabulous.

Positive experience: The gay section is in the little cove with the shallow caves. You will see the gays gathering. This is not cruisy so be respectful. It's a small pleasant beach with beautiful waters.

Fantastic experience: It's the naked-optional beach just up from Sitges. It's pretty chilled but does get busy on holiday weekends. Nice because there is only the one way in, and the location means it gets sun all day. Good facilities with showers and lifeguards.

Positive experience: I remember the very first time that I visited Balmins Beach many years ago. I was surprised to find a mostly nudist beach in the middle of town. But such is Sitges, a place that is more tolerant than most. Usually nudist beaches are situated in far away places, but not this one. It's a very short distance from the center of town on foot. You don't need to be in the buff to visit the beach, but expect many to be. The crowd is mixed but tends to divide the beach between "gay" and "straight" sections, with a lot of intermingling.

Positive experience: Very crowded. Only half of the people are naked. Nice bar. A lot of gay men but also families with children. Most of the sand is rather damp because it's close to the water. Water ist not very deep for the first 30 meters. Good for children and playing games.

Positive experience: Platja dels balmins? More like playja dels men's balls! If you're into a beach with lots of nude dudes, this is the place to be. A little farther out of town, and in a more sheltered bay, it's a great spot for a swim. The wind doesn't whip sand into your face like the other beaches. It can get a bit too crowded though due to it's fame as the best gay beach around (though anyone can visit for a swim!)

Fantastic experience: Very beautiful protected area worth to visit and to spend time. One of the sides is a nudist spot. But very easy going...no one is forced to be naked. Families and groups are welcome. There is a small bar with drinks and snacks.
