Calella Beach

Negative experience: This is a horrible beach! We're totally shocked. We always used to go to Calella. This time we saw a very dirty sea, piles of garbage on the shore (sticks, wheels from suitcases, corpses of rats). There are a lot of children on the beach. The rats' corpses aren’t cleaned up, they decompose in the sun. It's totally unsanitary. The Department of Tourism for Calella is inactive. We wrote to email them for two days, but no action was taken. Vacation ruined. I don’t recommend these beaches. There is no such thorough cleaning as before.

Positive experience: Really nice beach with a beautiful long coastline and super clear water. The beach is kept clean, and there’s plenty of space to chill out or walk along the shore. It’s got a relaxed vibe, and even when it’s busy, it doesn’t feel to overcrowded. There are palm trees lining the street right next to it, and it’s easy to find a spot with some shade or grab a drink nearby. Great place to spend a sunny day!

Fantastic experience: As a triathlete participating in the Ironman, swimming and running at Platja de Calella was an unforgettable experience. The sea was calm, making it ideal for open-water swimming, and the beach itself looked inviting for leisure. The promenade along the beach was excellent for running and walking, with great views of the Mediterranean. Additionally, the area boasts a solid selection of bars and restaurants, providing a convenient and lively post-race atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Small, the sand is not very fine but the setting is sublime

Positive experience: The beach itself, like any beach in Spain, is very well equipped: toilets, volleyball court, showers, walkway, etc., but unfortunately the sea is deep, there are stones in the water, and if there are big waves the stones hit you hard.

The beach is incredibly clean and well-maintained, which made it a pleasure to relax and play with the kids. The water is crystal clear, perfect for swimming and cooling off on a hot day. Another plus is how easily accessible the beach is, making it a convenient choice for families with young children. Overall, Calella Beach is a beautiful spot that offers everything you need for a perfect family beach day.

Positive experience: Compared to the other beaches in the area, it is rather dirty and noisy. Rail traffic right behind your back. The underpass is very dirty. There are definitely nicer beaches in the area.

Fantastic experience: It's a magnificent beach: long, flat, with moderate waves and a multitude of services and beach activities. The blue zone does not operate until June 15, so there is plenty of parking available. It also has an excellent promenade and even a train track ☺️. Fantastic experience: I found the beach super beautiful. Not too crowded, yet there was still a lot going on. You can ride jet skis or take a tour with a speedboat. There is a small beach bar and many sanitary facilities.
