La Griega Beach
Information

Fantastic experience: Spectacular beach, super spacious, easy parking, there are restaurants that look amazing, there is a river and mountains, you can even take a hiking trail that runs along the coast, ideal for spending a great beach day without a doubt.
Fantastic experience: The Libardón River flows into it. It's not very large and there are quite a few people, but it's very beautiful to spend a day there. There is a campsite nearby and there are good restaurants next to it. From there, you can visit some famous footprints through a dirt path that you can't miss.
Fantastic experience: Simply perfect. Several bays with sandy beach. Collecting stones. Incredible view of mountains in the background. The bays are located 200-300m from the steep coast directly on the Camino de Santiago.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful, cozy sandy beach, not too crowded. It is a little bit of a walk to get to the water in a low tide, but it's actually part of the charm. Parking can be a little scarce.
Positive experience: Small beach with many stones. There is paid parking for €4.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach near Colunga
Negative experience: Well, just another beach with the no dogs sign, they can't swim but then comes the human scum with a criminal record and they have more rights than the dogs and we welcome them all here, not a single beach in the north for dogs, well let's see if I can find one.

Positive experience: I didn't like this beach much, the sand is coarse, quite uncomfortable, not much sand before reaching the water. I don't think we will come back.
Fantastic experience: A quiet beach with fine sand, you can find dinosaur footprints nearby while walking, the worst part is the parking which costs 5€.

Fantastic experience: It is beautiful....there is plenty of free parking and if not, you can pay 4 E. You have a 20-minute walk to the dinosaur footprints with spectacular views. There are two restaurants that look great, with tables facing the sea...a lovely place to eat. The Jurassic museum is close by to take the kids.
Fantastic experience: It is a very beautiful and scenic beach, it has two restaurants.
Fantastic experience: A really wonderful and natural beach. A river flows to the shore where small children dream to play. Nearby very good restaurants, campsite and hotels. Large parking areas. Definitely a place worth recommending.

Positive experience: Magnificent beach with lifeguards. In summer, it's not easy to park, but it's worth it.
Positive experience: La Griega Beach or La Cabaña del Mar, at the mouth of the meander of the Llibardón River or Colunga, near the locality of Colunga (Asturias). Coarse and golden sand. 820 m long and about 80 m wide. Strong waves. Natural pools form in the sand at low tide. Average, even low occupancy. Parking for about 100 vehicles. Restroom, showers, seasonal lifeguard, hospitality, and camping. Dinosaur footprints. Celebrations on the beach for the Loreto festivities (July).
Positive experience: Buena playa . Arena fina.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, cozy sandy beach, not too crowded. It is a little bit of a walk to get to the water in a low tide, but it's actually part of the charm. Parking can be a little scarce.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach to go with children as they are entertained with the river water fishing and swimming there!
Fantastic experience: Very quiet and beautiful beach near Lastres. It has quite a spacious parking lot, there is a campsite, a couple of bars, and a route that goes around the cliffs leading to another beach called La Isla (because it has an island, we Asturians also weave). This beach is famous because it is known that dinosaurs walked here. Oh, there is also a monitored parking lot for a fee, but I didn't see it open.
Positive experience: I didn't like this beach much, the sand is coarse, quite uncomfortable, not much sand before reaching the water. I don't think we will come back.
Fantastic experience: For me, the most beautiful beach in the area and ideal for children. Clean with hotels and bars around and parking spaces. A river runs through the beach, which, thanks to being invaded by the sea at high tide, becomes an ideal area for swimming and playing for children of all ages. The lifeguard service is continuously attentive to its work. Good professionals and absolute dedication. The beach has a small path that leads into a wooded area, where dinosaur footprints can be seen with free access.

Fantastic experience: I loved it and we had a great time with the tides going up and down. Very good for kids and super fun with the waves. It was also interesting to go see the footprints later.
Fantastic experience: Excellent wide beach. The estuary where a relaxing bath is also fun.

Fantastic experience: Beach, sea, river, dinosaur footprints, and views. I suppose in summer it will be impossible like all beaches, but out of season it is highly recommended. The photo is from 13-10, 26 degrees, ideal.
Fantastic experience: Spectacular, I go every year
Fantastic experience: Pretty
Fantastic experience: A really beautiful beach with unbeatable views of both the ocean and the mountains! The waves are strong, the open sea area is not for everyone, so be careful if you have children, people with mobility issues, and seniors.
Fantastic experience: Very pretty, we felt super comfortable, beautiful views.
Fantastic experience: Simply perfect. Several bays with sandy beach. Collecting stones. Incredible view of mountains in the background. The bays are located 200-300m from the steep coast directly on the Camino de Santiago.

Fantastic experience: We loved it. A privileged natural place with real dinosaur footprints. The kids were amazed.
Positive experience: Small beach with many stones. There is paid parking for €4.

Positive experience: Peaceful and beautiful beach
Fantastic experience: Beautiful surroundings, spaciousness, and parking. A must-visit.
Fantastic experience: Impressive and great beach at low tide
Fantastic experience: It is a very beautiful and scenic beach, it has two restaurants.
Fantastic experience: Very nice beach to go with children as they are entertained with the river water fishing and swimming there!
Fantastic experience: One of the strangest beaches I have come across in Asturias. I liked it because it was calm and accessible.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful, we loved it

Fantastic experience: It's like being in paradise. I liked it a lot.
Fantastic experience: Really cool beach. It needs more services.
Fantastic experience: A paradise corner in Lastres. A very small beach with beautiful views of the town of Lastres. We had a picnic here right after visiting the MUJA and took the opportunity to see the dinosaur footprints.
Positive experience: I didn't like this beach much, the sand is coarse, quite uncomfortable, not much sand before reaching the water. I don't think we will come back.
Positive experience: A quiet beach and during the week it is not overcrowded.
Fantastic experience: A quiet beach with fine sand, you can find dinosaur footprints nearby while walking, the worst part is the parking which costs 5€.
Positive experience: The dinosaur footprints are not worth it. The beach is very beautiful.
Positive experience: Magnificent beach with lifeguards. In summer, it's not easy to park, but it's worth it.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach near Colunga
Fantastic experience: Very clean and large, beach bar, showers, restrooms
Fantastic experience: Picturesque beach by the water entrance of the estuary. Water tongues that form curious shapes in the sand, famous because at one of its ends there is a path through a lush green area that provides access to a rocky part where there are traces of several dinosaurs.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with dinosaur footprints at the end of it.
Negative experience: Well, just another beach with the no dogs sign, they can't swim but then comes the human scum with a criminal record and they have more rights than the dogs and we welcome them all here, not a single beach in the north for dogs, well let's see if I can find one.
Positive experience: Gorgeous beach. The access is not in good condition, with potholes that can damage vehicles. There is a lack of signs specifying water quality; sometimes the Libardon river that flows into the beach brings murky water and brown foam.
Fantastic experience: Wide and clean beach, great for going with children. It has a beautiful landscape, and there are showers and restrooms. With the low tide, you can walk all the way to the end and see dinosaur footprints. There's also a path that takes you to them.
Fantastic experience: Excellent wide beach. The estuary where a relaxing bath is also fun.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach, at low tide, very good for children and when the tide rises, it has the entrance of the estuary where they have a great time with the currents created by the sea as it comes in. It's a pity that the path to see the dinosaur footprints was closed.
Fantastic experience: Very cool and spacious, don't forget to visit the dinosaur footprints ✨
Positive experience: Beautiful place for a getaway. Quiet, easy to reach, and full of charm.
Positive experience: A spacious beach with spectacular views
Fantastic experience: Super cool with its dinosaur footprints
Fantastic experience: How to go to Isla Nublar beach in Jurassic Park without leaving Asturias
Positive experience: Very beautiful, quiet, and family-friendly beach at the mouth of the river.
Fantastic experience: Wide beach, very well maintained, with sand and several services, which also has dinosaur footprints on the path to La Isla, easily visible, with free access. Views of the beautiful town of Lastres. It's worth taking the coastal path from here, towards Colunga and La Isla, and visiting the herbivorous dinosaur footprints, which are among the largest found.
Positive experience: Nice, not crowded, with easy access and camping nearby, there are restaurants and cafes, next to the Jurassic period museum.
Fantastic experience: It is a quite extensive beach. It has a beachfront restaurant and a hiking trail.
Fantastic experience: Perfect in winter for a stroll
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach in the east of Asturias. It can be accessed by highway, from Colunga or from Lastres. A wide sandy area crossed by a river. There are camping sites, restaurants, and tourist accommodations. There is a bridge that crosses the river, and you can access the other side of the beach and go hiking in search of dinosaur footprints. From the sandy area, Lastres can be seen. During high season, there is difficulty parking. Very close to the Dinosaur Museum.
Positive experience: There are not enough trash cans on the beach. We didn't find a single one along the entire stretch of the beach, so we had to carry the garbage all the way. Still, the beach is quite clean and very beautiful.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with a nice promenade running along its entire length. It has several services including free parking, drinking water fountain, picnic areas (these in very poor condition), public restrooms, café, and restaurant.
Fantastic experience: Great, not crowded, perfect for the heat wave that was happening at that moment.
Fantastic experience: Realme you beautiful place
Fantastic experience: A beautiful beach. It is a fairly large beach, all of golden sand and with eucalyptus trees on the mountain, it has beautiful views of the coast of Lastres, a very nice village that became famous with the series 'Doctor Mateo', and 600 meters away there are dinosaur footprints.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach with gold-orange sand. With ample free parking. Nearby dinosaur tracks are a joke. Certainly the information provided is lacking.
Positive experience: Nice place ...
Fantastic experience: Amazing place. The downside is that if you don't arrive early in the day you won't find parking.
Fantastic experience: One of those beaches that you will want to visit and stroll even if the weather is not good, especially if you are lucky enough to find it at low tide. If the weather is nice, you will enjoy it just like when you were a child, even if you don't have a bucket and spade. There is a paid parking nearby at a reasonable price, if needed...
Fantastic experience: A very family-friendly and easily accessible beach. Lots of parking.
Positive experience: Beautiful Asturian beach located in Colunga. There is a campsite nearby, and on the eastern side, there are dinosaur footprints, or ichnites. It has a picnic area and fine sand. A marvel. The downside is that dogs are not allowed. Let's see if we can change this topic, it's about time.
Fantastic experience: For me, one of the most beautiful places in Asturias. It has the dinosaur route, which is a must-visit. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Very interesting the Jurassic museum nearby... a joy for both us and the children! The ocean with a very clean beach, with many seagulls, blending with the river rich in fish, is of rare beauty!
Positive experience: Nice place. Large parking. Starting point for hiking or beach.
Positive experience: Excellent beach. Quiet and a wonderful environment!!!
Fantastic experience: I loved it, a huge beach with interesting places for kids.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful sandy beach, perfect for a swim or a walk
Fantastic experience: Very welcoming beach, with a natural pool area for the little ones.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach. Very little slope. Clean, with places to eat or have a drink.
Fantastic experience: Very long beach. To cover your body, you need to go in quite far. Good water temperature.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach with a small path that takes you to a dinosaur footprint site. The campsite bar makes amazing calamari sandwiches!
Positive experience: Great little beach with parking and some good restaurants less than 100m away. Be sure to go check out the dinosaur prints.
Fantastic experience: This beach has the charm of changing the shape of the sand every year, the cause is the river.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach where the tide rises and it is spectacular to see. No crowds at all.
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beaches in Asturias. Good parking area and free. Spectacular views and a quiet atmosphere to relax.
Fantastic experience: Best beach so far. Being able to run from the river to the ocean and back again was a ton of fun.
Fantastic experience: Amazing seeing dinosaur foot prints. Most impressive was the dinosaur graffiti. Can't believe it lasted millions of years!!!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place with room for a lot of people and nice walks around. A place to recommend for sure!
Positive experience: Interesting place with the tides easily seen along the beach and the river meandering through the sands. The sound of the ocean on one side and birds singing on the other. Forest path smelling eukaliptus trees and footprints of dinosaurs higly recommended. Good restaurants nearby. Rather avoid holidays. Today the estuary of the river looked like that:
Positive experience: This little playa is in secluded area near museo de Jurásico, It has basic facilities and beach is quite contrast to surrounding near by it has fine brown sand on one side and on the other lush green jungle growing on mountains, it seemed very less known beach around, however we did notice couple of hotels with limited rooms and 2 restaurants, one of the interesting fact about this beach is 90 Million years old fossil of Dinasours have been found here.
Fantastic experience: Another great Asturian beach despite the overcast day. With the added bonus of a dinosaur footprint (it is near the fab MUJA). Golden sand and beautiful waves. Facilities including a life guard, plus a cabin café, a campsite café and 2 restaurant/cafés. We ate at the Restaurante Vista Alegre and had a delicious seafood paella. The other diners dishes looked good too!
Fantastic experience: A really beautiful sandy beach within its own small bay. A river flows across the sand forming a great area for kids of all ages to play in, as the sea can be quite rough here. There are two restaurants and a burger / sandwich cafe bar overlooking the bay. There are parking areas close to the beach and a really good campsite ( camping Costa Verde) just 50 metres from the beach either side of the beach are beautiful hills for walkers to explore.
