Fantastic experience: Wonderful beach in Cádiz. It has been my discovery of this year. There weren't many people, which pleasantly surprised us. You have to be careful with the rocks, but it is one of the few beaches that remains untouched. The views with the Trafalgar lighthouse and the pine mountains in the background are a visual delight.

Positive experience: A beautiful place, fine sand, clear water, and wonderful views. The downside is that there are stones and you have to dodge them.

Fantastic experience: Very clean beach, perfect for watching a spectacular sunset with the lighthouse in the background. When the tide goes out, you can see rocks with lots of crabs among them.

Fantastic experience: The beach of Los Caños de Meca is unparalleled. It has a large area of clean, fine sand, and it also features the Trafalgar Lighthouse, which is a must-visit. An iconic place to go on vacation and spend a day at the beach.

Positive experience: Honestly, I didn't like it. There was a lot of wind, rocky areas on the shore in some parts making swimming difficult, and the sand was very sticky. It takes at least 20 minutes to walk from the parking to a decent area of the beach.

Positive experience: We arrived at 11 thinking it would be full and we were pleasantly surprised that it was almost empty. Since the beach is so large, it's really nice. We went with our dog and honestly, no one gave us any trouble.

Positive experience: A nice beach to spend some time or the day. I am from Valencia and in the Mediterranean we have very good beaches, but I really liked this one. There are many places nearby to have something to drink or eat, and the views are very good. It is not very crowded, at least when I was there, and the access is quite good. It is a clean beach, well-maintained, and has a good stretch of sand. Highly recommended place.

Negative experience: I went two weeks ago thinking it was a good beach and it was totally disappointing. Full of seaweed, bad smells, and full of flies that you couldn't even lay on the sand for a minute without being covered in flies, so we had to go to the lighthouse beach which was somewhat better.

But, expect in the water and on the shores: friendly Spanish locals, unfriendly surf hipsters from Norway and Germany. Very crowded line-up. Take your van/gear and head over to a nearby break a bit further…

Fantastic experience: Cold water, a lot of wind, a place with a lot of history like the Trafalgar lighthouse. Cádiz is considered one of the oldest cities in Europe and has been inhabited by Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans, and Muslims, so its architecture mixes the style of each people that lived there.

Negative experience: Mission impossible to have a beer because almost all bars only allow sitting at a table for eating.

Fantastic experience: For me, the beach of freedom, where everyone goes as they please and does what they want while respecting each other. However, I return to the same point regarding the channels, which are not beaches for people with reduced mobility due to their difficult access.

Fantastic experience: For me, it is the most beautiful beach in Spain. So natural and yet with so much atmosphere. At the end of the beach, there are several beautiful coves that can be accessed from above or from the beach when the tide is low. The water is crystal clear and the sand is fine, although on this occasion it was filled with a lot of seaweed, and with high tide, if the sea is a bit choppy, it is more difficult to swim. Otherwise, at low tide, it is nothing to envy any beach in Menorca or Ibiza. In the cliffs, you can find mud to apply to your skin as a mask.

Positive experience: I loved this beach, I was near the lighthouse. There was plenty of space not to disturb or be disturbed, a calm and pleasant atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in Cádiz without a doubt. It is a quite large stretch of beach with beige sands and turquoise sea. There are beach bars along the beach. I would return without thinking about it.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful beaches where you can relax and enjoy their clean and fresh waters. The entire area has services as well as restaurants and bars to grab a drink. In summer, parking in the area can be somewhat complicated, but enjoying the views and the sunsets is well worth it.

Positive experience: Could be nice but the left hand side of the beach is rocky and has old brickwork and rocks on it so not so good for kids / sunbathing. Go round the corner to Playa Pirata

Positive experience: Nice place to surf, if you like it like it was 30 years ago, i.e. no facilities whatsoever... I now prefer places where there is a club, to store your surf, have food and drinks etc.
