Cavallet Beach
Information
Platja des Cavallet is a beautiful and expansive beach located near the Salinas protected area, known for its naturist environment and LGBT-friendly atmosphere. It features fine sand and clear blue waters, making it perfect for sunbathing and swimming. However, visitors have noted some challenges:
- Pros: Tranquil and spacious, ideal for relaxation. The beach is well-known for its natural beauty and the nearby Chiringay for refreshments.
- Cons: Parking can be complicated and expensive, often requiring a lengthy walk to reach the beach. Some areas may have issues with seaweed accumulation, affecting the swimming experience.
- Despite the mixed reviews, many agree that the beach is a lovely spot, especially for those seeking a more relaxed and open atmosphere.

Positive experience: Very beautiful and quiet beach but somewhat overrated. The parking costs €7 for cars and is about a 20-minute walk away, something we didn't expect. From what I understand, it is a nudist beach with a gay atmosphere, which was a big disappointment for us. There are many people wearing swimsuits and a large part are heterosexual couples, even bringing their small children. If you come to enjoy a good gay atmosphere and a calm nudism, it's a shame, but at least on the day we went, it couldn't be. There are few places to enjoy these things and little by little they are being invaded and lost.
Positive experience: Wide sandy beach whose northern area is poorly maintained, with a large accumulation of dead seaweed and the resulting bad smell. Towards the south it improves in the direction of Chiringay. The beach is mostly nudist, with many heterosexual couples and very quiet. The beach bars have fairly high prices for what they offer. Limited parking.
Positive experience: Unfortunately, the beach is very dirty. Complicated paid parking: 10 euros for 2 hours, the same price as for a whole day. It's a shame, but far from a postcard view.
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza. Great place, the path is not necessarily signposted. The way there was easy to walk and interesting.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic Beech great sand good ocean away from the boom boom of Bosa
Fantastic experience: Fine white sand
Negative experience: If you see an Argentine trying to control the people entering, don't listen, just drive in with your vehicle regardless of what they say; they only provide false information to let in whoever they want. They cannot control who enters or who does not on a public road unless they are police or civil guard, and they are not. They allow porches but not vans... Moreover, they are trying to convince people to go to another beach, 'the experimental', which is not a beach; it's the sea against containment stones to prevent the sea from entering the salt flats.

Fantastic experience: A very nice beach with a few sunbeds / umbrellas in front of the bar / restaurant. But most of the beach is available to lie down on. FKK and textile users share the beach, it is clean with fine sand. The water is blue and clear.

Fantastic experience: Secluded and natural beach with bar restaurant, chairs and clothing optional. Great spot

Positive experience: Very beautiful beach. Crystal clear water and very fine sand. Surrounded by salt flats on one side and Salinas beach on the other, it is a place to relax and spend time in tranquility. At the beginning, there is the chiringuito restaurant and towards the tower, there is another establishment.

Fantastic experience: Good beach if the wind is not high. Very pretty and long. Unlike most naturist beaches where you walk for ages and climb a mountain to get to it. This one you fall out of the car park on to the beach party the restaurant and the first lifeguard and the naturist start all with a few minutes. The car park looks suspiciously small so I guess in season get there early. Don't know where else you could park. Often the waves seem strong but at the far end from the car park still material but said to be gay but looked missed to me, here the beach is slowly shelving so better to swim. Lovely sand all the way. There is a restaurant the far end as well. It may as easy to get to it from Ses Selaines car park but I have not tried it.
Positive experience: Beautiful remote beach accessed by driving on the road through Ibiza's salt production fields, very scenic. The beach itself is as nice as any, fairly narrow strip of sand, rolling blue waves, backed by sand dunes. Had no idea it was designated a gay beach, not that it bothers us one iota, but didn't see any evidence of it while there either, maybe like many other beaches there is a specific area to one end. The beach has very limited facilities. One, maybe two restaurants (didn't walk quite close enough to see if one was) the other is rather expensive, though looks lovely, not sure if you combine a beach day with an expensive meal - normally the heat makes me less hungry. Don't be put off by Google describing it as a nudist beach, all Spanish beaches technically are as it is allowed on all of them, on this particular beach on our visit we only saw topless so we also kept our bottoms on. Notable feature is that there was a lifeguard on duty. Would recommend a visit if you have a car, not without, and take some provisions. If you need a wee, swim out to sea : )
Playa larga y ancha.

Negative experience: This could be a beautiful beach, but it’s not maintained at all, resulting in lots of trash, seaweed and dirt everywhere.
Fantastic experience: Great place to relax. Went end of May. Not crowds at all. The sea is just amazing and water refreshing
Positive experience: Nice nudist beach (remember that: if you want to be dressed, there are better options for you). The downside is that it was too dirty, so much plastic in the water.
Fantastic experience: Queer friendly, quiet and just beautiful.

Fantastic experience: It's not the easiest place to get to, but it's worth it. Especially at weekends, when there was more to see. Nice environment, excellent weather, clear sea. Unsuitable for snorkelling - no fish. No ancillary facilities. On weekdays it was more for older age group (in September).

Fantastic experience: One of my favourite beaches here in Ibiza... watch out for nudists of you're not used to them All natural, untouched
Positive experience: A beautiful virgin beach, with a thousand shades of turquoise blue, super calm, I loved it very pretty you never get tired of looking at the blue tones that become more intense as the hours go by.
Fantastic experience: Just paradise

Fantastic experience: Super beautiful and very in touch with nature, highly recommended for LGBTQ+.

Fantastic experience: It's a mostly gay swimming and fun area. I had lots of fun there. There are gays and nudists all over the beach, but this is the exact place here.
Negative experience: If you see an Argentine trying to control the people entering, don't listen, just drive in with your vehicle regardless of what they say; they only provide false information to let in whoever they want. Positive experience: It's nude, so expect to see many old fat men and their parts. There were many jellyfish and even more cigarettes on the beach. The beach can't be blamed for that, and overall it's really good.
Negative experience: It was full of seaweed
Positive experience: Very good

Fantastic experience: a magical place. both for sunbathing and for having a cool pleasure. excellent
Fantastic experience: One of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza. Great place, the path is not necessarily signposted. The way there was easy to walk and interesting.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful long sandy beach. The downside is that there is nowhere to hide and there is no view of any nice mountains. Just sea and sand. Plenty of space.
Positive experience: Very spacious beach suitable for swimming and sunbathing
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach!
Fantastic experience: Simply the most beautiful beach in Ibiza. Dreamy water in all shades of blue, green, and turquoise. Wonderful sandy beach. Pure Caribbean feeling. Nude beach.
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful beach not crowded at the end of October
Fantastic experience: Breathtaking
Fantastic experience: Nuestra preferida

Negative experience: Horrible beach, smells bad, full of seaweed 0/10, nothing like the photos, plus 5€ to park to swim in gray water.
Positive experience: I found it relaxed. Nice beach bar, pricey. But the food was really top-notch. Nice people.
Fantastic experience: Unique
Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in Ibiza. We came from the nearby beach (dirty and overcrowded) and this was an oasis. Few people, clean water, and a safe environment.
Fantastic experience: Of all the beaches, this is the easiest to find the gays. While the beach is mixed, if you go to the right (looking at the sea from Chiringay). The walk from the parking lot is a bit of a trek, but it is a lovely beach. For the gays, the dunes are 'active' for meeting friends.
Positive experience: The beach is very famous, as it is the only official nudist beach on the island, but there is no parking at all, as at the few available parking spaces can only park SUVs. A conventional car will need a crane to be able to get out of there. There is a parking space at the end of the street, but they abusively and arbitrarily prohibit parking if you are not a customer of the store. If you go there by car, there is no place to park and you will have to leave.
Fantastic experience: The best beach on the island
Fantastic experience: Mostly lgbt and naturalist but welcome for all. The water temperature is perfect between June and early September, you can swim, chill and just bath in the perfect Mediterranean Sea
Positive experience: We came just after the season closed, so the bar wasn’t open. We arrived fairly early and found some apparently-abandoned umbrellas and lounge chairs and nothing else. We settled in for a few nice hours of sun and sand. The beach is clean and pretty enough. Wasn’t very crowded but got more so as the day went on. One guy walked by once, attempting to sell us blankets or something but he wasn’t too aggressive about it. Several people - men and women - were nude. It seemed very comfortable. Early afternoon, a man came to where we were sitting with the umbrellas and yelled at us in Spanish - he may have been angry that we hadn’t paid for the chairs and umbrellas but there hadn’t been anyone to pay when we arrived.
Fantastic experience: An interesting drive to arrive at this huge stretch of sand and southern coastline. Enjoy the nudist beaches in the summer or the atmosphere of the deserted beaches and unique waves out of season. The parking has really organised itself in recent years and the long stroll to the beach through nature is very special. Here is a rainbow in October over Dalt Villa!
Positive experience: You need to be ready for a walk - in exchange you will receive nice sandy beach which is not crowdy.
Lovely sand all the way. There is a restaurant the far end as well. It may as easy to get to it from Ses Selaines car park but I have not tried it.
Negative experience: beach same as somewhere else .. chiringay way too expensive
Fantastic experience: A lovely beach in ibiza, beautiful and tropical in style.
Fantastic experience: Es cavallet is one of the nicest beaches on Ibiza, it is a long beach divided in 3 different parts. In the first one in front of the chiringuito you can lay down on the deckchairs, the problem is that is full of dried seaweeds and you can't even take a bath and also can smell a bit. The second part in the middle, where usually there are no seaweeds, it's much nicer and wild (no deckchairs) the sea is transparent and you can enjoy long bathes, it is an official nudist area. The third part at the bottom is the nicest close to an Arab period guard tower beautiful waters and the gorgeous sand dunes which are protected as part of the Natural park of Salinas. Unfortunately people ignore the prohibition of walking and cruising on the dunes with the effect of destroying the dunes and the fauna which includes pink pelicans!
Negative experience: Great place, lounge, service less friendly than the other years, polite but less smiles than before, beautiful views on the sea
Positive experience: Nice place. Bit of a trek to get there. But worth it in the end. Take supplies not cheap at all
Fantastic experience: What a beach! Silky white sand, crystal clear blue water, nice breeze to balance the sunshine. It's a bit of a walk but so worth it! And because it's not so easy to get to it is also less busy them less pretty beaches. Best beach on the island!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, best place to swim if there are strong winds.
Positive experience: Not my fav beach to be honest. But happy to see ppl caring for the environment & picking up after themselves
Fantastic experience: Beautiful! Loads of space for your towel! Beautiful water color!
Fantastic experience: Wonderfull beach, always action.
Fantastic experience: Clean water, very soft sand, too much gay couple, the rate of the gender is unequal (too much man, no women).
Fantastic experience: Nice beach with super cute restaurant. Nice for gay cruising.
Positive experience: The beach is really amazing... Crystal water. It's a nude beach, that means open minded and nature lover is a must. There's a bar named chiringay.
Fantastic experience: Lovely beach to spend a day or two
Positive experience: Long walk to get here. Very limited parking. Nice beach, beautiful waters. Restaurant with some amenities - you need to pay to use showers. Overall, not sure it's worth the trek
Fantastic experience: My favorite beach in Ibiza: clean water, soft sand, no stone, great landscape view, and less people. It is recommended come by car and park out side and walk through the woods around 15 mins. But it really worth a walk tour!! Then you will find your self at a wonderful gay beach.
