Information

The Playa del Saler is a beautiful and tranquil beach located close to Valencia, known for its stunning natural surroundings. Visitors have praised the beach for being clean and spacious, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and family outings. Notable features include:

  • Natural Beauty: Surrounded by nature and dunes, it offers picturesque views, especially during sunrise.
  • Accessibility: Only a 20-minute journey from the city, making it convenient for locals.
  • Family-friendly: The beach is described as peaceful, with areas suitable for families.
  • Facilities: Availability of free parking, restaurants, showers, and lifeguard services.

However, there are some drawbacks to consider:

  • Water quality concerns due to proximity to the shipping port, which may result in unpleasant odors at times.
  • The beach has some rocky areas and can often be windy, which may affect swimming conditions.
  • Limited amenities and a scarcity of nearby beach bars.

Overall, Playa del Saler provides a unique beach experience for those seeking tranquility away from more crowded tourist spots, although attention should be given to the local water conditions.

Fantastic experience: Chill beach, not crowded, lots of parking spaces

Filo Martinez 1 year ago

Negative experience: Beach in a natural setting, without access paths, a large stretch of sand. Not recommended for bathing, there is a lot of slope (the water level is much lower than the sand), there is also an uncomfortable step at the entrance.

Negative experience: The beach is a bit crowded, free parking is also quite busy, the water is warm and before it covers you, there are a lot of stones, which I didn't like. There is a shower, but it doesn't have much pressure, and then you're left with a sandy path, so you end up getting sandy again.

Fantastic experience: Very good, lacking beach bars, the two that are there are very outdated, I hope they take care of cleanliness and safety, the parking would be the worst, I don't know who thought of putting up bumpers that break bumpers but well, there they are. BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR BUMPERS AND LARGE CARS.

Positive experience: Playa cercana a Valencia, buenos servicios(duchas, pasarelas, cruz roja),la arena bastante bien y el agua limpia para la cercanía al puerto.Buen sitio.

Fantastic experience: A beach with coarse sand and pebbles. With few people. There are no facilities around except for a restaurant. It's a place to spend the day without annoying noises. Total relaxation.

Fantastic experience: We loved going to this beach. It has a more local vibe than some of the more popular beaches closer to the city center. It's an easy bus ride on bus number 24 or 25 from central Valencia. And in our opinion, it's well worth the twenty five minute bus ride. There are a few good restaurants close by. You can definitely make an afternoon of it! We did several times!!!

Positive experience: Stunning breathtaking sunrises, perfect for immersing yourself in the fullness of colors. In the distance, you can see the island of Ibiza. Large boats offshore visible from the beach sometimes waiting in line to enter the port of Valencia. Beautiful bike paths along the beach that lead to Valencia. A very well-located restaurant 'Mikonos' where you can enjoy different delicious paellas.

Positive experience: Not too busy, pretty clean, easy access. Hired 2 sun loungers and a umbrella at €21 for the day. The sea is very warm, feels like 30c. You will spot the odd jellyfish washed up, but that didn't seem to worry anyone. Two restaurants, showers and a first aid point. Lifeguard on duty.

Positive experience: The beach is beautiful and clean, but the sea is contaminated due to the passage and presence of cargo ships. However, it is recommended (by the lifeguard) not to enter the sea.

Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean beach. It was much cleaner than other beaches near it. Ride to it was by bus like 30minutes and you also had to make a little hike from the bus station to the beach, but it was all worth it. Strongly advice to take sun umbrellas and everything else you need for beach fun with you, because there were no boots there selling those things. There was only one place selling food and water there, but it was short distance from the beach and was expensive. It was a bit windier then other beaches (our sun umbrella broke there, because of the wind), but waves were also better. For a child it was so much fun to float around with its swimming ring on the waves

Negative experience: One of the many large beaches of Valencia. Certainly better than the city beaches, but the not excessive distance from the port means that even on this coastline the sea is not beautiful at all; often the water is smelly and it is often windy. The only plus for someone like me who lives in the city is that you can get there in 20 minutes and it's a bit less touristy. For those coming on vacation to Valencia, avoid it and move much further south.

Positive experience: The beach itself was really amazing. Lots of space, rather clean, really sunny, not far from the city, you can see the ships waiting to get into the Harbour. The only downside was that after getting out of the water my friends’ and my balls got really itchy for some reason. Besides that be aware of jellyfish.

Positive experience: Perfect beach if u want peace and quiet. A bit windy so I had to right with the Sand the whole time...but I guess it depends from the day. Clear water, nothing compared to beaches north of the port.

Fantastic experience: It is great to go there. It is quiet and relaxing. There are a few restaurants nearby and you can eat there. So my advice is to spend the hole day at El Saler beach. PS: take the EMT 25 bus to get there from Valencia.

Fantastic experience: The beach , and the facilities on the beach are good. The beach hut offers good selection of cold drinks and ice lollies. It got to the point where Alfonso had ready what we wanted when he saw my daughter walking up to the beach hut. That's what I call service! Reasonable price for the beds and parasol if you stay all day like we did. We took our own lunch in a cool box. I will be back next year while visiting my daughter. The only negative comment is about the toilets. They are disgusting!!!!
