Tavernes de la Valldigna Beach

Positive experience: In July, in the La Goleta area, there is a lot of noise and dust from construction. They are now, in July, adding sand to the beach. All day long, trucks and shovels are going back and forth. They are also conditioning the access to the sidewalks for carts and people with mobility difficulties, now, in July, with the noise of compressors breaking concrete and dust and blocked access. Everything needs to be done, that's clear. But now? In July? Wouldn't it be better before or after the summer months?

Fantastic experience: Great beach with a good atmosphere. What I find most striking is the stairs to go up and down to the beach.

In general, it is not a beach suitable for young children and elderly people, since just entering the water, at 2 meters there is a huge step where the water already covers you by the neck. Then, further along, there is another step but it's for going up, and the water covers you by the knees. To access the sand, in many accesses you have to go up some steps. Parking is difficult, as there is hardly any space on the avenue for the large number of residents. There is no promenade, as they did not respect the coastal law back then. The promenade is the avenue, which is very nice. The beach has mini goals, volleyball, spider, snack bar, and lifeguards until September inclusive. It is an accessible beach, thanks to this many elderly people can get into the water because without the amphibious chair, they wouldn’t be able to due to the huge step that makes it hard for them to get out without help. It is a family beach and almost everyone has apartments in Tavernes, and at lunchtime it empties out since there are not many outsiders. Next to the Tavernes beach is the dog beach of Cullera, which are connected. Depending on the time, and the situation of where you put your towels on the beach, you will get shade if you are close to the buildings because they are right by the sea. The Consum that is there has higher prices than other Consums. If you have to come, it should be because you have an apartment; otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend coming when there are better beaches.

Positive experience: My usual and lifelong summer spot. Lack of services... there are fewer and fewer things to do and more closed businesses. The water is rough and the beach is short and almost without sand. A shame because I have spent my whole life there and see how they have let it go.

Beach with hardly any sand, there are areas where from the construction to the water there are barely 2 or 3 meters. No planning regarding urbanization, the first one who arrived built. There is no boardwalk. In the interior walkway, more and more businesses disappear every year. Few nightlife spots. Very few young people. Average age 65/70 years. The best business on the beach is the pharmacy. It's a pity, but they have let this beach on the Valencian coast go to waste.

Fantastic experience: Muy buena playa...hemos ido un 2 de julio y aunque había gente no era nada exagerado...muy familiar por lo que estábamos súper cómodos...quizás más en adelante este más concurrida pero es muy recomendable no es para nada agobiante y tienes de todo...bares...restaurantes...tiendas.. supermercados...etc...lo recomiendo 100%

Fantastic experience: Playa sin masificación de gente como en localidades cercanas, la zona sur tiene más arena que la norte, donde cada día hay menos arena... Espero que hagan algo lo antes posible para que deje de comerse el mar tierra en la zona norte de Tavernes. Cerca de la playa hay dos restaurantes muy buenos donde se come unos arroces tremendos así como comida típica de la tierra... Rte. Mediterrani y Les Ones... También cerca tienen una heladería Alacant donde hay una extensa variedad de helados, con y sin azúcar.

Fantastic experience: Una playa tranquila para descansar y relajarse. Puedes disfrutar de buenos restaurantes, chiringuitos, festivales de música, actividades culturales, paseos por la playa y montaña y visitar la Cova de Bolomor, el Clot de la Font y en la montaña hacer unas rutas de senderismo preciosas donde se puede apreciar todo el paisaje de la playa. Hay zonas para acceso a gente minusválida que tienen la opción de poderse bañar. Una playa que no está masificada y dar un paseo por la orilla viendo las dunas y la playa virgen es una maravilla.

Positive experience: La playa en si está bien, aunque la arena tiene muchos restos de ramas. La mayor pega de esta playa son los socorristas, que menos mal es una playa tranquila y no se les necesita porque sino te puedes morir ahogado, uno de los días uno de ellos estaba con la que debía ser la novia y estaban todo el rato hablando y sin estar pendiente de la playa....los demás días los otros socorristas igual todo el rato mirando el móvil.... Uno de los días con bastante mal tiempo al socorrista solo le vi levantar la vista para coger las cosas y marcharse corriendo en cuanto empezó a llover. Sinceramente no deberían estar trabajando como socorristas

Fantastic experience: Thank you Pepe for helping me get to the beach from the station. The beach is nice, very family-friendly, and also has lifeguards. It is clean and well-maintained, but according to what Pepe (a lifelong neighbor) told me, you have to be careful with the currents in the water because they can sweep you out to sea (several people have died). If you are taking public transport, keep in mind that from the station you can only reach it on foot by crossing the train tracks through a difficult access point, so it is recommended to take the L2 bus. The bus stops are yellow posts that are hard to identify, and the buses have no signage.

Positive experience: Playa muy tranquila donde hay opciones de poder hacer montaña q quedan al lado a pocos kilómetros.Tambien paseo entre naranjos, por la playa e incluso hacer turismo a Valencia en tren. Cerca hay escuela de surf buggy etc

Negative experience: Esta playa es una porquería. No hay de nada para divertirse los chavales, no se cuidan las infraestructuras, la playa está abandonada, y solo se preocupan en cobrar el impuesto de bienes inmuebles.. Lo dicho, si están planteándose en venir a esta playa, las hay mejores y más baratas en cualquier puesto.
