Spain Beach

Positive experience: A small beach but in a spectacular setting. There are bars nearby. Paid parking right by the beach.

Fantastic experience: A beach that has it all. Vertical cliffs, grass and sand, postcard sunsets, 2 cool restaurant terraces, a campsite, a large public parking lot, a kiosk, and a very surfable wave.

Fantastic experience: Great, beautiful waves, but be careful, there are lots of stones to get there. A small river and a bar next to it, as well as a parking lot.

Positive experience: Very natural beach, it is big, with a typical whitish sand of Villaviciosa, its cider apples.. Haha, right after going down the path that goes to the right there is a free parking or to the left towards the beach a meadow with paid parking

Positive experience: A beach similar to a cove located between mountains in a municipality of Villaviciosa, quite beautiful for my taste, with a part of sand and another of stones. It has a small parking lot, both paid and free. In addition, there is usually a yellow flag since it is not usually a calm sea area.

Negative experience: No admite perros

Negative experience: De playa para perros nada de nada!! Sólo pueden estar en el aparcamiento. La playa muy bonita para hacer surf porque hay muchas olas. El parking 3€ y si vas con perro no hay nada que hacer aquí.

Fantastic experience: The only place around to enjoy a nice beach with our dogs, grate environment and nice people. Government should to open more place for pets.

Positive experience: Playa bastante concurrida los fines de semana pero muy buena playa. Con marea baja hay bastante sitio para poder estar. No aceptan perros. El servicio de socorristas es hasta las 19:30. Justo al llegar hay dos parking que te cobran unos 6€ pero si sigues un poco más adelante (pasado el camping) podéis encontrar uno público y gratis. La playa cruza el río España y es de arena fina.

Fantastic experience: The beach is nice. It's sandy. Perfect for kids. I really liked the stream, it's freezing but it adds a unique touch to this beach. In front of the beach, there is a restaurant.

Negative experience: The beach is very beautiful but it has a lot of stones to walk over to get to the water, so I don't recommend it. You can slip and hurt your feet; there are many stones.

Positive experience: A beach similar to a cove located between mountains in a municipality of Villaviciosa, quite beautiful for my taste, with a part of sand and another of stones. It has a small parking lot, both paid and free. In addition, there is usually a yellow flag since it is not usually a calm sea area.

Negative experience: It is full of large rocks. It only has a little bit of sand.

Positive experience: Large parking area for cars and vans/Campers, if you arrive early, for €3. Beach with a river, stony, essential water shoes or sandals to cross to the sandy area. It has a beach bar and a couple of bars. Good sandy area and waves, with clear water. There are lifeguards. It is advisable to go during low tide. Chemical toilet with little maintenance. We already know what happens with pigs.

Positive experience: Clean and not crowded. Several beach bars and one special one right by the beach. The access to the sea is made uncomfortable by a large row of stones that make it quite difficult for bathers to enter and exit at low tide. Easy access and parking is convenient.

Fantastic experience: It's great. The river with cold water to relax your legs, the small beach but with good services and good waves. Surf competitions. They have 2 restaurants very close. Spacious parking for 3 euros.

Positive experience: Playa bastante concurrida los fines de semana pero muy buena playa. Con marea baja hay bastante sitio para poder estar. No aceptan perros. La playa cruza el río España y es de arena fina.

Positive experience: Playa de arena gruesa y cantos rodados. Depende de si la ves con marea alta (algas y poca zona de arena) o baja (mucha zona de tierra y agua clara) no tiene nada que ver claro. Los socorristas muy atentos y agradables con la gente a pesar de que alguna gente no hace mucho caso de las indicaciones. Aparcamiento por 3€ justo al lado, aunque más adelante pasado el camping hay un aparcamiento gratuito aunque tienes que andar un poquito más.

Positive experience: No tiene gran zona de aparcamiento pero hay una campa en la que aparcar todo el día sale por 3€ Cuando estuve tenía gran oleaje por la mañana con lo cual era una playa más propia de surfistas Pero como tiene la desembocadura de un río, con piedras por medio, que lo hacen muy adecuado para ir con los niños y que se entretengan en la corriente de la ría sin riesgo de meterse al mar No es una playa de arena muy amplia, pero tiene zona de hierba también y rocas en los laterales Tiene socorristas y un chiringuito cerca

Positive experience: La Playa España (Villaviciosa, Asturies) es una playa en forma de concha de 175 m. x 440 m. de superficie, de arena fina dorada, cantos rodados y grava, formada en la desembocadura d'El Ríu España. Aguas cristalinas. Acantilados verticales, praos y viesca d'ocalitos. Fuerte oleaje que la hace perfecta para el surf, pero también para la pesca. Con todos los servicios: hostelería, duchas, socorristas, parking y camping. Etimológicamente 'españa' del asturianu 'españar', es decir explotar, refiere el ruido al romper las fuertes olas contra las rocas, así que nada que ver con España 'Hispania'. Muy popular por sus características y su proximidad a Xixón/Gijón.

Fantastic experience: It's great for surfing and the Ipanema terrace right there is a wonder. With plenty of areas and corners with very well-done decor, it's glorious!

Positive experience: Playa con muchas piedras y ríu España que la atraviesa por la mitad. Recomendable por sus chiringuitos y para surfistas. Como para ir de playa personalmente no me gusta.
