Positive experience: Nice beach to spend the day. It has nearby parking, several restaurants, and at least the day we were there in early September it was very quiet. You can walk along the shore to the lighthouse.
Positive experience: You can get there by car, but parking for free and nearby will be very complicated. There are several nearby parking lots for 3/4€, and if you eat at their associated beach bars/restaurants, they will discount it when you pay. As you can see in the photos, if you go with high tide, it will be difficult to bathe because there are many rocks. I recommend checking the tide table before going, and of course, if it's blowing from the east, because you will eat sand. The beach at high tide is rather narrow. The sand is white and fine. At low tide, small pools are formed, which are highly recommended for children.
Negative experience: The beach looked very good based on the reviews and what I heard, but it was actually quite disappointing in every sense. It was very crowded, there was no place to sit even at lunchtime, which is when it usually empties a bit. We had to turn back with what we had on because there wasn't even a tiny spot. I won’t be coming back during peak season. On the other hand, it has easy access by car and free parking for a few spots.
Fantastic experience: Wide and very long beach, unspoiled. There are no beach bars or lifeguard service. Access is through a narrow dirt path with large potholes. Few parking spaces, so if you go late, you have to park on the sides of the path, which makes it narrower. Magnificent.
Fantastic experience: Difficult parking, and not too much sand on the beach, but clean and nice.

Fantastic experience: It's beautiful, very long, people go as they want (with more or less clothes) and walk dogs. You have to be careful where you place yourself because there are areas with rocks.
Fantastic experience: Wild beach, clean and clear water. There are cool beach bars and restaurants. You can get there if you walk to the Trafalgar lighthouse as the beach has 2 names, Zahora, great for swimming, and the part by the lighthouse is more dangerous. Great atmosphere. Dogs are allowed.
Positive experience: Good but there are rocks in the sand and you have to be careful where you step, and some loose dogs, it seems to me that they should go somewhere else during peak bathing hours.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful beach, clean and the water is really clear. 'You can go with dogs' as, although it's not officially allowed, they are welcomed by the people at the beach; they don't look down on you when you arrive. It's not a dog beach, but there are a few, and if your dog is well-behaved and knows how to behave, you can go. I spent the whole day there and had no problem. We had a great time.
Positive experience: Sometimes many stray dogs running around and pooping, but otherwise a beautiful place.

Positive experience: Not bad, but too many stones or rocks, and not good for walking, a lot of slope, the best thing is the crystal clear water, and the visit to the lighthouse.
Negative experience: The beach is being destroyed by the beachfront bars with loud music, they should go and dismantle all the constructions that violate the coastal law. It was a paradise 40 years ago. They have ruined it.

Fantastic experience: Watching a sunset at Zahora beach is awesome, and if it's accompanied by live music from the nearby beach bars, it's a luxury.

Fantastic experience: So beautiful
Positive experience: Not bad, but too many stones or rocks, and not good for walking, a lot of slope, the best thing is the crystal clear water, and the visit to the lighthouse.
Fantastic experience: This was the best beach that I have been in Cadiz so far. Closer to Trafalgar Lighthouse, the ocean is clean with crystal clear water. Totally worth the time spent on the way!
Positive experience: The beach is very nice. If you come early, the beach is ideal for children as it is quite shallow. Then, as the hours go by, the tide begins to rise and by around 5 PM it gets quite wavy. The water is clearer (and colder) than the surrounding beaches, but it had seaweed when entering.

Fantastic experience: Espectacular playa para ir de vacaciones, sobre todo si eres amante del surf, Zahora es un pueblito muy lindo y acogedor
Fantastic experience: Very good, I liked it a lot. My little one had a blast surfing. There are places to spend the night, but we preferred to sleep in the camper van parks.
Positive experience: Nice beach as a final destination after visiting the light house. There's a few hipster/surfer bars and restaurants with souvenirs out front.

Fantastic experience: A paradise, but you have to respect the sea.
Fantastic experience: Small beach with a lot of magic
Positive experience: You can tell the action of man. Very nice beach, but there are better ones in that area.
Fantastic experience: One of the best beaches in Cádiz
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful. The only bad thing is the seaweed sometimes.
Fantastic experience: For me, it's one of the most special places, that I go to every year if I can, just to see a sunset there, and I love the beach!!
Positive experience: Spectacular sunset

Fantastic experience: Beach with a lot of charm. Depending on whether the tide is high or low, the landscape is completely different.

Fantastic experience: The best beach in Barbate, very quiet
Negative experience: The beach is being destroyed by the beachfront bars with loud music, they should go and dismantle all the constructions that violate the coastal law. It was a paradise 40 years ago. They have ruined it.
Fantastic experience: For me, the most beautiful place in the world.
Fantastic experience: Difficult parking, and not too much sand on the beach, but clean and nice.

Fantastic experience: The best beach on the entire Cádiz coast
Fantastic experience: Zahora beach in Cádiz is simply stunning. Its crystal-clear waters and fine sand make this place a true paradise on the southern coast of Spain. We arrived at sunset and enjoyed a beautiful display of colors while the sun set on the horizon. During our stay, we were able to relax and completely disconnect from daily stress. The tranquility that is felt in this place is incredible, perfect for those seeking a corner of peace and disconnection. Moreover, the pleasant sea breeze enveloped us as we walked along the shore, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend Zahora beach to any nature lover and maritime landscapes. Without a doubt, a must-visit if you are in the Cádiz area. You will not regret enjoying a day of sun and sea in this wonderful corner of southern Spain.
Fantastic experience: Always spectacular even when the storms have taken the sand away.
Fantastic experience: Dreamy beach, overlooking the Trafalgar Lighthouse
Positive experience: Sometimes many stray dogs running around and pooping, but otherwise a beautiful place.
Fantastic experience: For me, one of the best beaches in southern Spain. With a pretty hippie vibe and still not as crowded as others in the area... it retains many unpaved streets and a fairly peaceful atmosphere. You can walk from there to other beaches both to one side and the other... a little paradise!
Fantastic experience: The area is wonderful, a true paradise...many years ago. Nowadays, humans are destroying it by leaving their trash wherever they step. Let's be aware to take our trash from the beach and not its shells.
Positive experience: Beautiful beach with plenty of space, the beach bars are unfortunately very inflexible, have strange opening hours, and are therefore not highly recommended.
Positive experience: Nice beach, good facilities, and a great atmosphere
Positive experience: Beautiful beach. If you go past the busiest area, it is very quiet.
Positive experience: I consider it overrated. It's a nice beach but the sand is more like dust than anything else and it's not excessively spectacular compared to other nearby ones.
Fantastic experience: I love this beach, I come every year once to go snorkeling with my kids since the visibility is spectacular. The only downside is the parking because this year 2023 they have closed the parking lot.
Fantastic experience: For me and my family, one of the best beaches in the area of Vejer where you can eat until dinner or stay in any bungalow... next to Palmar where you end the afternoons with the most incredible sunset.
Positive experience: I can't give it five stars because there are no showers, and people like us who walk along the beaches need them to wash up. Other than that, it's a clean, quiet, and family-friendly beach with a beach bar and where pets are allowed.
Fantastic experience: Cala Isabel, located in the municipality of Barbate, between Caletón de Zahora and Torre de Trafalgar. A place with a lot of history, with fine golden sand beaches and crystal clear waters like those of Zahora and Las Plumas. A perfect spot to relax your spirit, but... listen to me, mate, when you leave there feeling relaxed, let the only trace of our presence be the hole from the umbrella, okay?
Fantastic experience: Incredible beach. Fine sand. The water is clear and clean. Good beach bars, especially Del revés. Beautiful sunsets. It has everything. One of my favorites in Cádiz.
Fantastic experience: This is a beautiful beach! On a Friday in early March it was empty.
Fantastic experience: Just fabulous. Hardly any people, very clean, miles and miles of lovely soft sand.
Positive experience: Nice beach as a final destination after visiting the light house. There's a few hipster/surfer bars and restaurants with souvenirs out front.
Fantastic experience: Stunning and peaceful beach. Can be accessed walking from Caños de Meca via Faro de Trafalgar. Please like if you find this review useful.
Fantastic experience: Great place to relax and get away I love the ambient. They offer horse back riding and amazing views.
